Canadian Expansion: Inspired Entertainment Hits the Ground Running in Alberta’s New iGaming Market

Nasdaq-listed B2B gaming supplier Inspired Entertainment has launched its online slot library across multiple tier-one platforms in Alberta, coinciding with the official opening of the Canadian province’s commercial iGaming market.

The supplier’s portfolio is now active across a sweep of major brands, including FanDuel, DraftKings, bet365, BetMGM, BetRivers, Golden Nugget, Caesars Palace, PartyPoker, Sports Interaction, Betty, The Score, and Stardust Casino.

The widespread multi-operator deployment builds on Inspired’s existing footprint in the province, where its titles were already accessible through Play Alberta, the government-operated online gambling portal.

The commercial rollout follows Inspired’s official supplier certification by the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC), which authorised the technology provider to distribute its digital content suite to licensed private operators entering the newly opened territory.

Capitalising on North American Growth

Alberta's transition from a state-run monopoly to a regulated, competitive market model mirrors the framework established by Ontario, opening up significant commercial opportunities for international B2B providers.

Brooks Pierce, President and Chief Executive Officer of Inspired, highlighted the strategic importance of the jurisdiction's regulatory evolution:

The launch of Alberta’s regulated competitive market represents an important milestone for the Canadian gaming industry, and we are excited to see our content available across multiple licensed operators from day one. North America remains a significant growth market for Inspired, and this launch further expands the reach of our online gaming portfolio.

The deployment strengthens Inspired's broader footprint across regulated North American jurisdictions, where the company supplies cross-channel technology across interactive iGaming, virtual sports, and land-based retail gaming environments.
