Betby Adds 24/7 Live Chess Betting to Sportsbook Portfolio
The company said it aims to establish chess as a “core, stable betting vertical”, with the solution underpinned by an in-house developed live betting model.

Sports betting supplier Betby has expanded its sportsbook offering with the launch of 24/7 live chess content, marking a move to position chess as a long-term betting product for operators.
The company said it aims to establish chess as a “core, stable betting vertical”, with the solution underpinned by an in-house developed live betting model.
Betby’s live chess product is based on chess engine tournaments, in which chess programs compete under standardised hardware conditions, time controls and a seasonal structure. The competitions follow a round-robin format before progressing to play-offs, with each match played to a decisive result or a theoretical draw.
According to Betby, its product, trading and AI teams collaborated closely to develop a comprehensive range of betting markets, including outright winners, handicaps and total rounds.
Commenting on the launch, Kirill Nekrasov, head of sportsbook at Betby, said:
“This is the foundation for chess becoming a mainstream betting vertical, and we’re only just getting started.”
He added:
“We’re already working both on expanding the current coverage and adding new tournaments because we believe this innovation will strengthen operators’ portfolios and position chess as an important engagement driver.”
