SBC Awards Americas Unveils Shortlist and Introduces New ‘Game of the Year’ Category

SBC has revealed the shortlist for the upcoming SBC Awards Americas, set to take place this May as part of the highly anticipated SBC Summit Americas.

A flagship of SBC’s global events, the awards ceremony will shine a spotlight on top-performing companies across North and Latin America, celebrating achievements across 34 unique categories. Honourees will include industry leaders, operators, affiliates, and suppliers in key areas such as payments, game development, and platform provision.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, 14 May, the opening day of the SBC Summit Americas, and will be held at the iconic Pier Sixty-Six in Fort Lauderdale.

Among this year’s most-nominated companies are Sportradar with eight nominations, Rush Street Interactive with seven, and Kaizen Gaming, shortlisted in five categories.

Marking the first Pan-American edition of the awards, this year’s ceremony has attracted a record number of entries, presenting a significant challenge for the panel of independent judges.

Two new categories will debut this year:

  1. ‘Live Betting & Gaming Product’

  2. ‘Game of the Year – Americas’, with 18 leading studios including ELA Games, Evolution, IGT PlayDigital, and Playtech competing for the title.

In the operator categories, Hard Rock Bet has earned three nominations, including a bid to retain its crown for ‘Marketing Campaign & Sponsorship of the Year’. FanDuel is up for four awards and will look to defend its titles for ‘Casino Operator of the Year – North America’ and ‘Sportsbook Operator of the Year – North America’.

LATAM operators including Betsson Group, Codere Online, EstrelaBet, and Megapari have also made strong showings across multiple categories, underlining their growing regional influence.

In the affiliate space, Better Collective will compete against Livesport, MediaTroopers, and WagerWire in its bid to hold onto both ‘Sports Affiliate of the Year – North America’ and ‘Sports Affiliate of the Year – Latin America’titles. For ‘Casino Affiliate of the Year’, the shortlist includes Acquire.bet, Catena Media, Sorte na Bet, and others.

The hotly contested ‘Employer of the Year’ award will feature 16 major brands including Alea, BetMGM, Blazesoft, and RubyPlay, while OLG will hope to retain the ‘Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year’ award.

In payments and compliance, Nuvei and OKTO are aiming to defend their respective titles, while IDnow, BMM Testlabs, GLI, Mindway AI, and OneComply Solutions are all contenders for ‘Compliance Solution of the Year’.

Betting Hero and Optimove are each shortlisted in four supplier categories, and both Pragmatic Play and White Hat Gaming will look to retain the coveted ‘Platform Provider of the Year’ accolade.

To highlight emerging talent, three Rising Star awards will also be presented:

  1. ‘Rising Star in Casino’

  2. ‘Rising Star in Sports Betting’

  3. ‘Rising Star of the Year’

The full list of shortlisted companies can be found on the official SBC Awards Americas website.
