Boyd Gaming Unveils New Sportsbook at Suncoast Hotel & Casino
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Boyd Gaming executives kicked off the festivities with a ceremonial first bet, followed by an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art facility.

Boyd Gaming Corporation celebrated a major milestone in the ongoing renovation of the Suncoast Hotel & Casino in West Las Vegas with the opening of a cutting-edge sportsbook on Wednesday. This new addition, located in the space formerly occupied by the Suncoast Showroom, was unveiled just ahead of the upcoming football season.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Boyd Gaming executives kicked off the festivities with a ceremonial first bet, followed by an exclusive tour of the state-of-the-art facility.
The sportsbook boasts impressive features, including a massive wrap-around LED video wall that stands 15.5 feet tall and covers 1,700 square feet. Visitors can enjoy the action from stylish deco-inspired booths, lounge seating, and an 18-seat bar.
“Today’s grand opening of the new Suncoast Sportsbook showcases our continued commitment to provide an enhanced gaming experience for our customers and neighbors near Summerlin, and the entire northwest Las Vegas community,” said Steve Schutte, Boyd’s executive vice president of operations.
To commemorate the opening, the first 200 guests who placed a bet on Thursday received a branded water bottle, while on Saturday, September 7, the first 200 bettors wagering $50 or more will receive a branded sports towel.
Adding to the excitement, special guest Steph MacKenzie will broadcast live from the casino every Sunday during football season for local radio station 97.1 The Point.
The new sportsbook is just one aspect of the broader renovation plans for Suncoast Casino. Future developments include a new bingo room, expanded banquet and meeting facilities, a modernized bowling center, a new food hall concept, and a full remodel of the casino floor.
