Grupo Esportes da Sorte, master sponsor of Corinthians, has reached a significant milestone. On Wednesday, the 22nd, the company officially became one of the select operators authorized to offer online betting in Brazil.

This authorization, issued by the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA/MF), allows the group to legally operate fixed-odds betting, where players can determine potential winnings at the time of placing their bets. The five-year licensestrengthens the brand’s presence in the national market and applies to both Esportes da Sorte and Onabet.

Legal Battle Leads to Licensing Approval

Grupo Esportes da Sorte obtained the concession after fulfilling all the legal requirements set by Brazilian legislation. Initially, SPA/MF denied the request, but a court ruling overturned the decision, deeming the administrative refusal unlawful.

A pivotal moment came on January 13th, when the group successfully paid the full concession fee, allowing them to transition their websites to new domains in compliance with Brazil’s regulated betting market standards.

This strategic move ensures that Esportes da Sorte and Onabet can operate legally while adhering to all regulatory requirements, further solidifying their position in the industry.
