Play'n GO Expands North American Presence with DraftKings Partnership

In a strategic move that solidifies its growing foothold in the North American market, Play'n GO has expanded its partnership with leading sportsbook operator DraftKings, entering two new regulated state markets—Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This latest collaboration follows successful launches in three other states earlier this year, bringing the popular Play'n GO titles, including Colt Lightning Firestorm, Piggy Blitz, and Fire Joker, to more US players via the DraftKings platform.

The expansion highlights Play'n GO’s aggressive growth strategy, with the supplier already making notable inroads in Europe and South Africa earlier this year. The company partnered with Betsson to strengthen its presence in Spain in April, followed by an entry into the South African market through Betway in August. Now, its continued partnership with DraftKings reflects Play’n GO’s ambition to solidify its presence in the lucrative US market.

DraftKings, which recorded its first quarter of profitability in Q2 2024 after 12 years of operation, has introduced Play'n GO to five regulated states, a key milestone for both companies. Play’n GO’s Chief Commercial Officer, Magnus Olsson, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating:

“The DraftKings and Golden Nugget brands are synonymous with gaming in the US, and we are excited to further strengthen our partnership by expanding into these fourth and fifth states together."

As US online gambling continues to grow, Play'n GO's latest expansion is seen as a key step in the company’s long-term strategy to dominate the global gaming landscape. With the increasing acceptance of cryptocurrency as a favored payment method on US gambling sites, the North American market presents vast potential for operators looking to innovate.

Olsson further highlighted Play'n GO's sustainable approach to business, saying, “We are proof that a sustainable, entertainment-led business model is the key to success in the long-term and we believe that this will leave us in a position to continue providing world-class content in the US and beyond for many years to come.”

With Pennsylvania and West Virginia now added to its roster, Play'n GO is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing US online gaming market, where cryptocurrency adoption is becoming increasingly popular among players. This move underscores the company's commitment to global expansion and maintaining its leadership in the industry.
