GamCare Launches Nighttime Chat Service for Gambling Harm Support
The charity emphasizes that the service is designed to give vulnerable individuals the chance to “connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through.”

UK gambling harm prevention charity GamCare has introduced a new nighttime chat service to provide additional support to those impacted by problem gambling. The chat rooms are available every Tuesday from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m., offering a confidential space for individuals affected by gambling-related harm.
The charity emphasizes that the service is designed to give vulnerable individuals the chance to “connect with others who truly understand what you’re going through.”
Each chat room will be moderated by a certified GamCare advisor, ensuring strict adherence to treatment and resource provision guidelines. Participants are invited to engage in discussions about personal experiences, coping strategies, and ways to navigate challenges.
To join the chat rooms, individuals must register using their first name and email address, with the information only accessible to the GamCare team. Once registered, users can log in during the designated times when the chat room option becomes available on the GamCare website.
