MGM Resorts and BetMGM Amplify Commitment to Responsible Gaming in NFL Stadiums
Building on their 2023 initiative, the companies will expand their responsible gaming campaign to more NFL stadiums, with increased visibility for the GameSense® program.

MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have renewed their partnership with the American Gaming Association (AGA) to promote Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM 2024) this September. Building on their 2023 initiative, the companies will expand their responsible gaming campaign to more NFL stadiums, with increased visibility for the GameSense® program. Developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and licensed to MGM Resorts in 2017, GameSense encourages responsible gambling through proactive and transparent guest interactions.
This year, GameSense messaging will feature prominently at the following NFL stadiums: Acrisure Stadium, Allegiant Stadium, Empower Field at Mile High, Ford Field, GHEA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, M&T Bank Stadium, MetLife Stadium, Nissan Stadium, and State Farm Stadium.
Rhea Loney, Chief Compliance Officer at BetMGM, stated:
“We’re excited to bring responsible gaming initiatives directly to fans in these NFL venues again this season. At BetMGM, we believe that protecting our players and promoting responsible play is essential to the future of sports betting.”
In addition to the NFL campaign, MGM Resorts is contributing $440,000 to support responsible gaming research through the International Center for Responsible Gaming and the Kindbridge Research Institute. This funding will focus on under-studied populations, including women military veterans.
Throughout RGEM 2024, MGM Resorts and BetMGM will enhance employee training on responsible gaming. Recently, over 500 MGM Resorts employees were certified through the GameSense Advisor Program, equipping them to educate customers about gambling responsibly. BetMGM will also advance responsible gaming education, particularly for its VIP staff, in collaboration with EPIC Global Solutions.
MGM Resorts will prominently display new GameSense messaging on table games and slot machines nationwide, with responsible gaming tips also featured on marquees and over 35,000 screens across its properties. BetMGM will introduce improved tools within its platform to help players manage their budgets and maintain responsible gaming habits.
The companies continue to support the AGA's "Have A Game Plan. ® Bet Responsibly.™" campaign, which educates bettors on responsible sports wagering and emphasizes the importance of regulated markets.
Joe Maloney, SVP Strategic Communications at AGA, remarked:
“Collaboration is integral to strengthening our collective responsibility efforts. MGM Resorts and BetMGM continue to be leaders in forming innovative partnerships that are advancing responsible gaming in meaningful ways.”
