Gauselmann Rebrands to Merkur Group
The commercial registration entry finalised the rebranding on January 1.

Sixty-seven years after the Gauselmann Group was founded, Germany's largest gaming group has renamed to Merkur Group.
From now on, the holding firm Gauselmann AG will be known as Merkur.com AG. The commercial registration entry finalised the rebranding on January 1.
“The corporate group is becoming increasingly digital and international and the change of name reflects this fact,” said company founder and chairman Paul Gauselmann.
“Both developments will benefit from linking the appeal of our Merkur brand to the company name.” The move was announced at the beginning of September and has now been officially finalised.
Paul Gauselmann established the Merkur brand in the 1970s and has gradually expanded it. The Merkur B was the first private amusement with prizes (AWP) machine, and it was followed by the establishment of the first company-owned arcade, the Merkur Spielothek.
Several games, devices, and gaming systems have been designed, produced, and marketed under the laughing sun brand trademark since then
This action has an influence on the overall business image. Aside from websites and social media outlets, a vast number of corporate signage must also be updated. The new appearance will be used to all marketing items, from large-scale banners to stationery.
“Continuity and stability are cornerstones of our corporate philosophy and will continue to be important factors for success going forward,” added Gauselmann.
