Facebook Launch Free Prediction Games
Players engaging in these fantasy games will be able to compete in fantasy leagues and public leaderboards
Social media giant, Facebook, has today unveiled its series of free-to-play predictions games. These will be made available in North America and make up part of Facebook’s Fantasy Games series.
These games have been credited for their simple nature, incorporating elements of sports, TV and popular culture. Players engaging in these fantasy games will be able to compete in fantasy leagues and public leaderboards, adding another string to Facebook’s burgeoning bow.
A spokesperson for the social media business commented:
“These games bring the social fun of traditional fantasy sports to simpler formats that are easy to play for people new to prediction games, while still engaging enough for more seasoned players.
“In addition to public leaderboards, players can create their own fantasy league and compete against friends and other fans. Leagues, which can be public or private, will allow members to compare scores to others in the league and provide a place for members to share picks, reactions and comments.”
