iGaming software provider, Playtech, has announced that it has now signed off on a new licensing agreement with Information Game Technology (IGT).

As part of this new deal, Playtech will be able to provide games in the US that include any of the features patented within IGT’s US patent portfolio.

The firm believes this to be significant progress to its North American growth plans, having just recently been approved for a licence in New Jersey. Playtech has already partnered with bet365 and BetMGM’s network in the state.

“The agreement with IGT represents another significant milestone in the growth of our presence in North America as we build on the momentum of the past few months” Playtech chief operating officer Shimon Akad said.

IGT chief operating officer Nick Khin added:

“Working in partnership with Playtech will help propel our collective innovation and growth, and further validates our significant IP portfolio.”

This is just one of many projects Playtech has been working on this month, having also launched its information management solution (IMS) technology platform with Colombian operator, Wplay.

The agreement will see Playtech’ IMS go live across all Wplay’s products on both retail and online platforms.

“Playtech is highly committed to future success and growth of the LATAM region, and we are seeing strong growth from our partners there and expect to see material growth for years to come” Playtech’s Akad said.

Wplay chief marketing officer Fernanda Sainz added:

“This launch continues to build on our current leadership position in Colombia, helping us consistently deliver the very best user experience in the market.”
