Gambling.com Plc has added additional problem gambling resources to its flagship website, creating a new 'Responsible Gambling Centre'. The standalone resource can acknowledge a person’s problematic behaviour early and supply access to support, suitable organisations and tools.

It is divided into three sectors:

1. Responsible Gambling Fundamentals - This educates individuals on the basic risks of problem gambling, gambling addiction and teaches how to gamble responsibly.

2. Staying in Control - This has been designed to help people recognise the signs of problem gambling, giving guidance on staying in control. It explains key concepts such as self-exclusion, betting logs and deposit limits.

3. Protection and Support - This section provides detailed access information for more than 20 problem gambling support groups as well as links to tools to protect children from gambling content.

Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive of Gambling.com Group, said:

"As the online gambling market is established in America and continues to expand around the world, it is important to not lose focus on the social costs of the industry"

We are committed to being leaders in responsible gambling and ensuring that a conservative approach is adopted by the industry at large to ensure the sustainability of what is a harmless recreational activity for most people… but unfortunately not for all"

In 2019, Gambling.com launched the American Gambling Awards with a category dedicated to gambling responsibly. The Responsible Gambling Award honors the businesses that have done the most to guard online players and create a safe and sustainable online gaming network. The winner of the first Responsible Gambling Award was the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG).
