UAE Issues First Lottery Operating Licence to The Game LLC

The General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) of the UAE has granted its first official lottery operating licence to The Game LLC, a leading commercial gaming operator specializing in game development, lottery operations, and gaming-related content.

Jim Murren, former President and CEO of MGM and current Chairman of the GCGRA, remarked:

“The launch of the UAE Lottery is a pivotal event that not only marks the establishment of a disciplined world-class regulatory framework for lottery activities but also underscores our commitment to nurturing a secure and enriched commercial gaming environment in the UAE.”

Kevin Mullally, CEO of the GCGRA, added:

“The GCGRA is steadfast in its commitment to global best practices in consumer protection and regulatory oversight. Our regulatory framework is designed to ensure the integrity, fairness, and transparency of commercial gaming activities in the UAE, which include lottery games.

The GCGRA, established in 2023 and led by Murren and Mullally, aims to set high standards in the gaming industry. In May 2024, Genting Singapore indicated potential expansion plans, with the UAE being considered as a possible location.
