Racehorse ratings experts Timeform will crown the leading performers of the 2023/24 Jumps season at the Timeform Jumps Awards on Monday 20th May.

Following the inaugural Timeform Flat Awards in December last year, the ratings experts will launch the first ever Timeform Jumps Awards, which aim to acknowledge and celebrate the best Jumps performers from the past season.

Award winners will be announced digitally across Timeform’s social media channels, and articles with analysis of why the winners were chosen will be available atTimeform.com.

There are eight award categories:

The Top Mare, Top Chaser, Top Hurdler, Top Novice Chaser and Top Novice Hurdler categories will be decided according to their Timeform end-of-season ratings, while the Biggest Improver award will be given to the horse whose Timeform rating increased most over the course of the season.

The Race Of The Season award will be determined using an average of the Timeform ratings of the first three finishers.

For the Horse Of The Season award, a Timeform panel of experts will cast their votes to choose a winner from a shortlist of six horses; Fastorslow, Galopin Des Champs, I Am Maximus, Jonbon, State Man and Teahupoo.

All winners will receive a special Timeform plaque to mark their achievements.

Leading contenders

Willie Mullins has had an incredible season with nine winners at the Cheltenham Festival, a Scottish Grand National, an English Grand National and to top it all off, a first British trainers’ championship, so it is fair to assume that his Closutton yard will be picking up a few of these awards.
