Entain Survey Reveals Majority See Gambling as a ‘Social Activity’
Entain's also found that 50% of respondents claimed to have made ‘good friends' through betting.
Sports betting and casino operator, Entain, has revealed the findings of its most recent survey into gambling behaviours and attitudes. According to the major brand, the majority of UK bettors see betting as a ‘social activity’.
Surveying more than 2,000 Britons, Entain also found that 50% of respondents claimed to have made ‘good friends' through betting.
A large proportion of respondents also felt that gambling was a leisure activity they spent the least amount of time on, with 78% saying that they spend twice as much at pubs and restaurants than they do on gambling activities.
90% of gamblers identified as sports fans too. In addition, 94% of respondents responded affirmatively when asked if they should be free to decide for themselves how to spend their spare time and money, which Entain said was an increase from December 2020.
