SBC and Lisbon Mayor’s Office Back Summit Hosting Deal Through 2030
SBC has secured a further commitment to the Portuguese capital, extending the hosting arrangements for its flagship betting and gaming event beyond the already confirmed 2027 edition.

Lisbon will remain the home of SBC Summit through 2030 following a long-term agreement with the city’s municipal authorities, Turismo de Portugal and Lisboa FCE.
SBC has secured a further commitment to the Portuguese capital, extending the hosting arrangements for its flagship betting and gaming event beyond the already confirmed 2027 edition.
The agreement with the Municipality of Lisbon, Turismo de Portugal and Lisboa FCE, the non-profit association responsible for major exhibition and congress venues in the city, confirms dates and support for 2028, 2029 and 2030.
For exhibitors and delegates, the decision provides greater certainty when planning future participation. For Lisbon, it strengthens a relationship that has brought international visitors to the city since the Summit relocated there in 2024.
Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said:
“We’re happy to formalise the way we feel by committing to this city till 2030. Onwards and upwards. The agreement gives SBC and our attendees and partners the stability to plan and invest for the future. Knowing exactly where we’ll be and for how long means we can keep pouring everything into making the Summit bigger, better and more valuable for everyone who comes through the doors.”
The signing took place on the final day of the 2026 Summit. Municipal representatives in attendance included Lisbon Vice President Gonçalo Reis and Deputy Mayor Maria Luísa Aldim, alongside senior figures from FIL and Turismo de Portugal.
The event will continue to use Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL) and the MEO Arena, providing space for its exhibition, conference programme, networking activities and entertainment.
Sojmark added:
“We are very happy to have the support of the city we have chosen to host our biggest and most ambitious event. Year on year, Lisbon is proving to be the perfect fit, and we’re grateful for all the support we’ve received from the city so far.”
The economic contribution of the Summit forms part of the backdrop to the renewed agreement. SBC reported that delegates travelled from 178 countries for the 2026 edition, generating an estimated 85,000 room nights across Lisbon. Final attendance figures were still being confirmed when the announcement was made.
António Ramalho, President of the Executive Board at FIL, commented: “We are committed to working alongside SBC, supporting its ambitions and creating the conditions for the Summit to continue growing in Lisbon. Events of this scale and international reach are key to positioning Lisbon, Parque das Nações and FIL at the forefront of the global events industry, reinforcing our city’s ability to attract and successfully host some of the world’s leading events.”
Now in its third year in Lisbon, the Summit has expanded its programme to reflect a wider range of industry interests. The 2026 edition introduced a standalone Affiliate Leaders Summit, the Global Prediction Markets Forum and the African Gaming Forum, alongside a new structured networking programme.
Its speaker line-up included Michael Jordan, who appeared with Sportradar Founder and CEO Carsten Koerl and DraftKings Co-founder, CEO and Chairman Jason Robins for a Leadership in Sports Business discussion hosted by broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher.
Football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano and UFC champion Charles Oliveira also featured in the programme, while Tiësto headlined the closing INFINITY Lisbon event.
The agreement gives SBC a longer-term foundation for developing the Summit, while reinforcing Lisbon’s role as a regular meeting point for the international betting and gaming sector.
SBC Summit returns to FIL and the MEO Arena from 21–23 September 2027.
