SiGMA Group has announced that SiGMA World 2027 in Rome will take place in May, following feedback from clients, exhibitors and industry partners calling for a more balanced European events calendar.

The move is intended to create more consistent intervals between the group’s three major European events in Rome, Barcelona and Lisbon, giving businesses additional time to prepare, allocate budgets and plan their participation.

SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis said the decision followed direct feedback from the industry.

“We have listened and taken the bold decision to move our show to May. We’ve taken this decision in the best interest of the industry,” Pulis said.

Responding To Industry Feedback

The change forms part of SiGMA Group’s wider efforts to address event fatigue and provide a more predictable schedule for the global gaming industry.

With an increasing number of conferences and exhibitions competing for attention, the group said greater spacing between major events would give exhibitors, sponsors and delegates more time to prepare and gain value from their participation.

The revised schedule is designed to make each summit a more distinct industry gathering, rather than adding to an already crowded calendar.

SiGMA said the decision reflects requests from clients and partners for more time between events to manage budgets, engage with customers and maximise commercial opportunities.

Expanded Outdoor Festival Experience In Rome

The move to May is also expected to provide more favourable weather conditions for the Rome event, allowing SiGMA to increase its outdoor space.

The group plans to triple its outdoor footprint in 2027, creating additional capacity for networking, entertainment, hospitality and community activities.

The expanded format will combine business meetings and industry networking with a larger festival-style experience, supporting SiGMA World’s position as an international gathering for the gaming sector.

Changes To The Global Events Calendar

The Rome announcement is part of a broader strategy to improve the positioning and commercial value of SiGMA’s international events.

The group said it aims to create better conditions for attendance, networking and business opportunities, rather than adding further dates to an already busy industry schedule.

SiGMA is also reviewing the timing of other international events to ensure its 2027 programme reflects market developments and industry demand.

The full SiGMA World Tour 2027 calendar is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
