Record Run: US Indian Gaming Revenues Hit $46.2bn Milestone in FY25

The United States Indian gaming sector reached unprecedented financial heights in the 2025 fiscal year, generating a record $46.2bn (£35.5bn) in gross gaming revenue (GGR).

Figures released by the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) show a 5.3 per cent year-on-year expansion, with total earnings surpassing the previous record set in FY24 by $2.3bn.

The performance audit encompasses data from 545 licensed gaming enterprises operated by nearly 250 federally recognised Indian governments across 29 US states. Growth was broadly distributed across the country, with seven of the NIGC's eight administrative regions recording year-on-year revenue gains.

Driving Indian Sovereignty and Community Benefit

Federal regulators praised Indian leaders and operational teams for maintaining regulatory standards while achieving sustained financial performance.

Commenting on the sector's contribution to native communities, NIGC Vice Chair William (Billy) Kirkland said:

The continued success of Indian gaming further underscores its importance as a means to support self-sufficiency and strong tribal governments. The agency is proud to work alongside tribal leaders to uphold a regulatory framework that protects these achievements and ensures the benefits endure for future generations.

Highlighting the operational performance across the native gaming landscape, NIGC Associate Commissioner Sharon Avery added:

I would like to wish the Indian gaming community a job well done on another strong year. These GGR results reflect the continued commitment of tribal regulators and operators to responsible growth and community benefit.
