"Simply Offering a High Rate Is No Longer Enough". Behind the Revenue of Samurai Campaign

Revenue of Samurai is a joint promo between revenuelab and Samurai Partners, built to reward affiliates who bring quality traffic to Tier-1 casino brands. But behind every promo mechanic is a strategy, and a set of real benefits for the affiliates who join in.

We sat down with Lex, Affiliate Manager at Samurai Partners, and Anastasia, Team Lead of Business Development Team at revenuelab, to talk about what's really behind Revenue of Samurai, and why it might be worth your traffic.

What is Revenue of Samurai, and what makes the brands stand out in Tier-1?
Lex, Samurai Partners:
Revenue of Samurai is our joint campaign with revenuelab, bringing together strong Samurai Partners brands with a focus on Tier-1 GEOs: AT, DE, CH, AU, CA, SE, DK, NO, IT, LU, MT, IE, and GR. The mechanics are simple: bring quality traffic and get additional bonuses based on deposit volume, while the top performers compete for the main prize – a Rolex watch. So it's a mix of strong offers, quality traffic, and a bit of healthy competition.

What makes an offer truly competitive for an affiliate today?
Anastasia, revenuelab:
Simply offering a high rate is no longer enough. Affiliates look at the overall economics of an offer: conversion rates, retention (which directly impacts LTV), Deposit-to-NGR conversion, and other metrics that ultimately determine how much they can earn from their traffic. Additional "sweeteners" also matter: no-reject deals, payments starting from the 1st FTD, and softer KPIs. Our goal is to build a truly strong and competitive offer based on the combination of all these factors.

So why is a joint promo more effective than standard special conditions on offers?
Anastasia, revenuelab:
Special conditions improve the economics of an offer, while a campaign adds another layer of motivation – it introduces an element of competition and a push to scale up. For brands, it's a chance to stand out among competitors. And the impact isn't limited to the affiliates already participating: we also promote the campaign across media channels, so even pubs who haven't worked with these brands before hear about them. Ultimately, affiliates get competitive conditions and an additional opportunity to earn, while we make sure the campaign is backed not just by attractive prizes, but by strong economics for everyone involved.

What advantages do affiliates actually get by working with Samurai Partners brands through revenuelab.?
Lex, Samurai Partners:

From my perspective, it's pretty straightforward: affiliates bring traffic and receive an additional bonus on top of their regular earnings from that traffic. Plus, they get a chance to compete for the main prize – a Rolex. So this isn't a case where "only one person wins and everyone else gets nothing."

What does the promo offer affiliates who are new to Tier-1?
Anastasia, revenuelab:
For those new to Tier-1, it's a chance to enter the market with less risk. Tier-1 is expensive and highly competitive, and it's easy to waste a budget on the wrong brand. This is where revenuelab's expertise comes in: we see the stats across offers and sources and can help pick the right option to test.

And what about affiliates who already work with casino traffic?
Anastasia, revenuelab:
For experienced affiliates, it's an opportunity to get additional value from traffic they already know how to generate: scale working campaigns, test new brands, and earn rewards based on volume on top of their standard revenue. In the end, newcomers can test Tier-1 with expert support and additional motivation, while experienced partners can scale and get more value from traffic that is already performing.

Why did Samurai Partners choose to collaborate with revenuelab. specifically?
Lex, Samurai Partners:

revenuelab has been our long-term partner. We know each other well: we understand their approach, know the quality of their traffic, and value their strong Tier-1 expertise. So we didn't have to look far for a partner – we knew we could achieve a strong result together. All that was left was to add an interesting mechanic that would genuinely motivate affiliates. That's how Revenue of Samurai came about.

What's the strategic goal behind the campaign for revenuelab.?
Anastasia, revenuelab:
Our strategic goal is to strengthen the value we bring to both affiliates and brands – to be more than just a link between the two sides, but a platform that helps businesses grow. Long-term relationships are important to us. We bring brands quality traffic, motivate our affiliate base, and create more opportunities to negotiate exclusive conditions that we can then pass on to our affiliates. Projects like this are also important for our positioning. We want to build a strong community around the network and show that working with us is not just about connecting to an offer – it's about getting real opportunities to grow and scale your traffic.

What will define success for this campaign?
Lex, Samurai Partners:

First of all, we'll be looking at traffic quality, FTDs, deposit volume, retention, and the overall player economics. But for me, a strong result also means bringing in new high-quality partners and moving towards long-term cooperation with them after the campaign. And, of course, who ultimately takes home the Rolex – that's probably the most exciting question of the campaign.

Is this a one-off, or should affiliates expect more collaborations like this?
Lex, Samurai Partners:
We definitely don't see this as a one-off project. If the campaign delivers strong results for both sides, it makes sense to continue working together and come up with new mechanics. Given our long-term partnership with revenuelab, I can easily see this being just one of many campaigns we do together.
