The event, hosted by Circa CEO Derek Stevens, focused on the gaming industry’s tax policy goals.

President Donald Trump visited Circa Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, marking a historic moment as the first presidential visit to a casino property during his second term.
The event, hosted by Circa CEO Derek Stevens, focused on the gaming industry’s tax policy goals. Leaders at the gathering pushed for reforms to the slot tax threshold and the removal of the sports betting excise tax.
Bill Miller, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association (AGA), commented:
“Today’s event is a testament to the president’s commitment to making sure that the tax code not only encourages job creation, but also ensures workers keep more of their hard-earned money.”
The gaming sector has seen unprecedented growth in recent years, with the AGA projecting total commercial gaming revenue to surpass $67 billion in 2024, marking the fourth consecutive year of record-breaking gains. The third quarter alone generated $17.71 billion, with online gaming contributing to 29% of that total revenue.
Alongside tax reform, the gaming industry remains committed to advancing responsible gaming initiatives and addressing the challenges posed by illegal operators.
