Middlesbrough FC (MFC) Foundation will take the spotlight this weekend as principal partner Kindred Group hands over its front-of-shirt sponsorship to promote the Foundation's impactful community initiatives.
During the match against Hull City on Saturday, November 30, the Unibet logo, typically showcasing Kindred’s responsible gambling message, "Zero% Mission," will instead feature the Foundation’s branding to highlight its outreach efforts across Teesside.
This gesture aligns with MFC’s Foundation Weekend, an event dedicated to raising awareness of the Foundation's life-changing programs aimed at supporting and uplifting the local community.
Kindred’s collaboration with MFC goes beyond sponsorship, extending to direct involvement in initiatives like Think With Your Feet. This program offers a safe environment for local men to engage in football while discussing mental health, fostering connections and promoting open dialogue.
Earlier this season, MFC star Isaiah Jones participated in a session, joining attendees in a conversation about the program’s impact. The discussion was captured in a video shared with fans, further spotlighting the initiative’s importance.
Sam Mead, Kindred's UK General Manager, emphasized the significance of the partnership:
“Our relationship with Middlesbrough FC and their Foundation is a long-running, deep and supportive one. We are all aware, and incredibly proud of, the Foundation’s incredible work in the North-East community. As such, we are delighted to once again donate our normal front-of-shirt space to the Foundation for this weekend’s fixture against Hull City.
“In the spirit of what this weekend is all about, we would urge supporters to seek out the MFC’s outreach programmes, if they feel they could benefit from the various initiatives on offer.”
