Cubeia Rebuilds Poker Client on New PixiJS Engine
Modernised graphics, smoother gameplay and new in-hand information for players.

Thursday 10th September 2026: Cubeia, the Sweden-based iGaming software solutions provider, has launched a major upgrade to its poker client, rebuilt on PixiJS — the WebGL-based rendering engine behind many of the web’s most demanding real-time graphics. The new engine gives Cubeia Poker a stronger technical foundation for graphics, animation and consistent performance across devices, and marks the most significant client release since Cubeia Poker went into production in 2009.
Cubeia has rebuilt the client’s interface from the ground up, with new cards, player badges and progress bars, and reworked dealing and winning animations. To the players, this will seem like a brand-new poker platform that stands alongside the best modern poker clients.
The release also brings new information to the table. Players can now see the number of outs available during all-in situations, making decisive hands easier to follow and more engaging to watch.
Behind the interface, Cubeia has rebuilt the client’s timeline management, the system that coordinates gameplay actions and animations. Actions now resolve in a more predictable order, giving players a smoother and more consistent flow through every hand.
The release includes:
A new PixiJS-based client engine
A rebuilt interface with modernised cards, player badges and progress bars
Reworked dealing and winning animations
Display of player outs during all-in situations
Rebuilt timeline management for more consistent action flow
20% faster table load times
Simon Isbäck, Product Owner for Poker at Cubeia:
"This is much more than a visual refresh. We have rebuilt the foundations of the poker client, and that shows up in how the game feels to play — faster, smoother and easier to follow. It also gives us a base we can keep building on."
For operators, every visual element of the client can be skinned with standard CSS, so the poker room matches an existing site exactly. The client is HTML5-based and works in any browser on any device, with no app required. Operators can also join Cubeia’s hybrid poker network free of charge, which provides liquidity from day one alongside a $25,000-per-month promotion campaign funded by Cubeia.
The upgraded Cubeia Poker client will be available to operators from the 10th of September onwards
