Playbook Fusion Secures Swedish Regulatory Approval With BetComply

Playbook Fusion has secured regulatory approval to operate in Sweden with support from compliance consultancy BetComply, adding another European jurisdiction to its growing regulated market footprint.

BetComply guided the games studio through the Swedish approval process, with Playbook Fusion receiving its permit in less than two weeks. The consultancy will continue to support the supplier as it pursues regulatory approvals across further jurisdictions.

Playbook Fusion Expands Regulated Market Presence

Playbook Fusion is the developer of Playbook Football, a real-money football management betting game. The format requires the supplier to address regulatory requirements specific to the structure of its product when entering individual markets.

The companies began working together in 2025, when BetComply supported Playbook Fusion through the process of obtaining its UK Gambling Commission licence and Malta Gaming Authority recognition notice.

Playbook Fusion has also secured information security management system certification from testing and certification specialist eCOGRA as part of its regulatory preparations for Playbook Football.

Steve Rogers, Founder and CEO of Playbook Fusion, said:

“As we take Playbook Fusion into more regulated markets, every jurisdiction brings its own requirements and complexities. BetComply understands both the regulatory side and the nature of our product, which makes them an invaluable partner as we scale.”

BetComply Supports Further International Expansion

The Swedish permit represents the latest stage of Playbook Fusion's international expansion strategy, with the supplier already working towards approvals in several additional jurisdictions.

BetComply will continue to provide regulatory and compliance assistance throughout that process as Playbook Fusion looks to make its football-focused product available across a wider range of regulated markets.

Mike de Graaff, Chief Compliance Officer at BetComply, said:

“Playbook Fusion is moving quickly, but it is doing so with compliance built into the process from the beginning.

“Sweden is another important step, and we are already supporting the team across a number of additional jurisdictions as Playbook Fusion continues its international expansion.”
