Polymarket Appoints Former Amazon CFO Warren Jenson As First Finance Chief

Polymarket has appointed former Amazon finance chief Warren Jenson as its first Chief Financial Officer as the prediction market strengthens its leadership team amid plans for further US and international growth.

Jenson will report directly to Polymarket Founder and CEO Shayne Coplan and take responsibility for the company's finance organisation, capital strategy and long-term financial planning. His appointment comes as Polymarket develops its Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC)-regulated US exchange while continuing to expand its global platform.

“We’re assembling the team to match the opportunity in front of us,” Coplan said.

Jenson Brings Experience From Amazon, EA And Delta

Jenson has held senior finance positions at several major international companies, including serving as CFO of Amazon, Electronic Arts and Delta Air Lines. He was also previously President and CFO of Nielsen, with responsibilities spanning finance, strategy, technology and corporate development.

Before Nielsen, Jenson spent more than four years as President and CFO of data platform LiveRamp, where he was involved in its finance operations and international expansion. He currently serves on the boards of Ripple, Dropbox and DigitalOcean.

Coplan described the appointment as an important addition to Polymarket's leadership as the company prepares for its next phase of development.

“Warren has led finance at some of the most consequential companies in the world, and his experience will be critical to everything we build from here,” Coplan said.

Jenson added: “Polymarket created a massive new global market category. I'm joining Shayne and the leadership team to put the capital strategy and operating discipline in place to move quickly at scale and continue to push the frontier of this industry.”

Appointment Comes Amid Polymarket US Expansion

Polymarket was founded by Coplan in 2020 and allows users to trade contracts based on the outcome of future events. The platform gained significant mainstream attention during the 2024 US presidential election and has since expanded its focus across areas including sport.

The company is currently expanding its presence in the US after previously being required to block American users under a 2022 settlement with the CFTC. Polymarket has subsequently secured a route back into the market through a federally regulated exchange structure.

Jenson's appointment follows other additions to the company's senior leadership team, including the arrival of Bird founder Travis VanderZanden as Chief Growth Officer earlier this year.

Polymarket Valuation Reportedly Reaches $21 Billion

The appointment also comes during a period of significant investment in Polymarket. The company is reportedly valued at approximately $21 billion following a recent $1 billion funding round.

According to The Wall Street Journal, investment firm 1789 Capital is investing approximately $300 million in Polymarket, while Intercontinental Exchange disclosed a $1.6 billion investment earlier in 2026.

Polymarket has emerged alongside Kalshi as one of the leading companies in the rapidly expanding prediction market sector, while Robinhood, DraftKings and other businesses have also increased their involvement in event contracts.

The sector continues to face regulatory scrutiny, particularly surrounding sports-related event contracts and the distinction between federally regulated prediction markets and state-regulated sports betting. Against that backdrop, Jenson's appointment gives Polymarket its first dedicated company-wide finance chief as it looks to scale its operations and compete across an increasingly crowded market.
