Hacksaw Gaming Enters Prediction Markets With New B2B Platform
The gaming supplier has secured regulatory approval in Malta to expand into prediction markets, extending its technology offering beyond traditional online casino content.

Hacksaw Gaming has announced its expansion into prediction markets with the launch of a new business-to-business platform, following approval from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) to extend its existing gaming supplier licence.
The move allows Hacksaw to provide peer-to-peer prediction market services under Malta’s regulatory framework, marking a significant diversification for the company as it looks to capitalise on growing interest in the sector.
The MGA has approved an extension of Hacksaw’s B2B Critical Gaming Supply Licence to include Type 3 Gaming Services alongside its existing Type 1 authorisation. The additional approval enables the supplier to offer prediction market technology to business customers, using its established distribution network and relationships with gambling operators.
Investors responded positively to the announcement, with shares in Hacksaw AB rising 3.44% to SEK57.15 on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during Thursday's trading session.
Hacksaw Targets Growing Prediction Markets Sector
The expansion represents a new direction for Hacksaw, which has established its position in the online gambling industry primarily through casino game development and distribution. By introducing prediction market capabilities, the supplier is seeking to broaden its technology offering and create additional commercial opportunities for existing and prospective operator partners.
Prediction markets allow participants to trade positions based on the outcomes of future events, with prices generally reflecting market expectations about the likelihood of particular results. The category has attracted increasing attention from technology companies, financial platforms and gambling businesses, although regulatory treatment varies significantly between jurisdictions.
Hacksaw Group CEO Ana Vrabic Verdir described the launch as an opportunity to extend the company's existing technology infrastructure into an adjacent market.
“Prediction markets represent a compelling new opportunity at the intersection of technology, entertainment and market participation,” she said. “We believe our existing platform, distribution capabilities and operator relationships position us exceptionally well to help businesses participate in this category.”
Verdir added that the expansion was consistent with Hacksaw's wider strategy of developing its technology ecosystem beyond its established product portfolio, while creating additional value for customers, commercial partners and shareholders.
Existing Operator Relationships To Support Expansion
Hacksaw intends to use its existing B2B infrastructure to provide operators with access to prediction market services without requiring them to develop the underlying technology independently.
The company believes its established integrations, commercial relationships and experience supplying gaming products across multiple jurisdictions will help operators introduce prediction market offerings more efficiently.
Marcus Cordes, Operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, said the platform had been developed specifically to meet the requirements of operators looking to enter the category.
“We have created a solution that enables operators to access prediction market capabilities efficiently and at scale,” Cordes said. “Because we already work closely with operators across multiple jurisdictions, we believe we can provide a streamlined path to market while leveraging the technology, integrations and commercial infrastructure that we have spent years developing.”
The MGA licence extension provides Hacksaw with a regulatory basis for offering its new B2B service under Malta's framework, although operators will still need to consider the regulatory requirements of individual markets before introducing prediction market products.
Hacksaw has not disclosed any initial operator partners or confirmed a timetable for the platform's first commercial integrations. However, the launch establishes prediction markets as a new vertical within the supplier's wider technology business as it seeks to diversify its offering beyond traditional online gaming.
