The Sequel Effect: Pirots 4 Drives €4.9m in Bets on Slingo.com

The latest installment of the Pirots franchise has emerged as the standout performer among the series on Slingo.com, generating almost €4.9 million in betting volume and accounting for more than two-thirds of the franchise's gross gaming revenue (GGR) in 2026 year-to-date.

Data from Slingo.com, part of Kinetic Digital, shows that the five Pirots titles available to its players have collectively attracted more than 13,000 unique players and generated approximately €9.4 million in betting volume so far this year.

Pirots 4 is comfortably leading the franchise, with 5,580 unique players generating €4.88 million in bets and €333,420 in GGR. That represents around 67% of the combined GGR generated by the five titles.

The figures offer an insight into the potential value of established slot franchises, with the latest release not only attracting the largest player audience but also generating significantly greater betting volume per player than previous installments.

Pirots 4 leads the franchise

The figures also show a clear increase in betting volume per unique player as the franchise has progressed. Pirots 4 has generated an average of approximately €874 in betting volume per unique player, compared with around €714 for Pirots 3, €516 for Pirots 2 and €598 for the original Pirots.

Pirots 3 is the second strongest performer, attracting 3,586 unique players and generating €2.56 million in betting volume and €129,588 in GGR.

Pirots 2 has attracted 2,547 unique players, generating €1.31 million in betting volume, while the original Pirots has recorded 942 unique players and €563,000 in bets.

For operators and suppliers, that provides an interesting perspective on the potential benefits of developing recognisable game franchises rather than relying solely on individual releases.

UK provides the franchise's biggest audience

The UK is by some distance the largest market for Pirots across Slingo.com, with the franchise's titles collectively attracting more than 9,000 unique players in the market.

Pirots 4 alone has attracted 4,045 UK players, almost twice the 2,134 recorded by Pirots 3 and significantly ahead of the 1,508 recorded by Pirots 2.

Spain is the second-largest market, with 3,897 unique players recorded across the Pirots titles. The market has also shown particularly strong engagement with the newer releases, with Pirots 3 attracting 1,206 players and Pirots 4 attracting 1,217.

The geographical spread highlights the ability of an established slot franchise to attract audiences across multiple regulated markets, while the continued performance of earlier releases alongside newer titles suggests that successful franchises can retain relevance beyond the initial launch period.

With Pirots 4 now accounting for the majority of Pirots activity on Slingo.com, the data provides an example of how the latest chapter of an established slot franchise can build on existing brand recognition while creating a new peak of player engagement.

Kinetic Digital Head of Brand Marketing Dom Aldworth said:

“Pirots is a really interesting example of how a successful slot can develop into a wider franchise, with each new release providing an opportunity to engage an existing audience while also attracting new players.

“What stands out from our Slingo.com data is the scale of Pirots 4’s performance. It has attracted more players and generated considerably more betting activity than the previous titles, demonstrating the level of engagement that a strong franchise can generate.

“For operators and suppliers, understanding how players move between different installments of a franchise is increasingly important, particularly as the market becomes more competitive and players have more choice than ever.”
