Betnacional Renews Sponsorship with Sport Recife Women’s Team for 2026 Season

Betnacional has announced the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with the women’s football team at Sport Club do Recife for the 2026 season. The partnership will continue as the club prepares to compete in the Brazilian Women’s Championship Série A2, which kicks off on 14 March.

The renewed agreement represents another step in the club’s long-term ambition to strengthen its presence within the women’s game and further develop its competitive standing in the national league structure.

At the same time, the partnership reflects Betnacional’s wider strategy of supporting the development of sport across Brazil, with a particular focus on women’s football and expanding opportunities for athletes and professionals involved in the game.

Activation Campaigns and Fan Engagement

As part of the renewed deal, a series of marketing activation campaigns will take place throughout the 2026 season, designed to promote both the club and its women’s side.

Through the agreement, the Betnacional brand will remain closely associated with the women’s team at Sport Recife for the duration of the season. The partnership will also include several initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility of the team across the competitions they are set to compete in during 2026.

Executives Highlight Strategic Importance

Jorge Peixoto, Head of Sponsorships at Betnacional, emphasised the importance of the partnership and the continued growth of women’s football in Brazil.

Jorge Peixoto said:

“We are very proud to extend our partnership with Sport’s women’s football team. We believe in the potential of the squad and in the strength of the club’s red-and-black jersey within this discipline as well.

Investing in Brazilian women’s football is a strategic decision and, above all, a commitment to the future of a sport that has been growing every year in Brazil.

We are approaching a Women’s World Cup that will be held in Brazil, a historic milestone that will further boost a sport that has already won Olympic medals and achieved historic results in World Cups.

It is essential that companies and institutions support this movement now, strengthening clubs, athletes, and the entire structure that sustains the growth of women’s football.”

From the club’s perspective, the renewed partnership is also seen as a key driver for the continued development of the team.

Henrique Aguiar, Marketing and Business Executive at Sport Recife, added:

“The expansion of the partnership with Betnacional is a strategic and very symbolic move for Sport.

When a master sponsor decides to invest in women’s football as well, it is not just expanding brand exposure — it is strengthening a project, believing in structured growth, and contributing to the development of the sport as a whole.

We will continue working to ensure that Sport’s women’s football grows with organisation, competitiveness, and leadership.”

Upcoming Matches for the Team

The Sport Recife women’s side will begin their national campaign on 14 March, when they face União Desportiva Alagoana at home in the opening round of the Brazilian Women’s Championship Série A2.

Later in the year, the team is also set to compete in the Pernambuco Women’s Championship, scheduled for November, although the official fixtures are yet to be confirmed.

In the state competition, Sport Recife will be aiming to secure their ninth title, further cementing the legacy of the club’s women’s side, affectionately known as the Leoas.
