FairPlay Sports Media Appoints Hannah Buitekant As Chief Growth Officer
The former dmg media executive will lead FairPlay Sports Media’s growth strategy as the group targets further expansion with publishers and iGaming operators.

FairPlay Sports Media has appointed Hannah Buitekant as Chief Growth Officer, adding the former dmg media executive to its leadership team as the sports media and BetTech group targets its next phase of international expansion.
Buitekant brings close to 20 years of experience across media and technology, including building digital businesses, leading commercial transformation and developing strategic partnerships. She joins FairPlay Sports Media following 12 years at dmg media, where she most recently served as Chief Commercial Digital and Strategy Officer.
In her new position, Buitekant will oversee the execution of FairPlay Sports Media’s growth strategy across both media partners and iGaming operators. Her responsibilities will include developing the group’s go-to-market operation alongside its customer success, account management and product sales capabilities.
Buitekant To Lead Growth Strategy
The appointment comes as FairPlay Sports Media seeks to expand into new markets, territories and sports verticals while increasing revenue from its existing relationships. The group plans to use its data and technology products to support that expansion, with Buitekant responsible for translating investment in those areas into further commercial growth.
FairPlay Sports Media operates at the intersection of sports audiences, publishers and betting operators, with a portfolio that includes oddschecker, WhoScored, SuperScommesse and Confido Network. Its proprietary data platform is capable of processing more than one billion odds on peak days while covering over 30,000 sporting events annually.
“What really drew me in is that FairPlay Sports Media has advanced technology and AI solutions that redefine how value flows between consumers, media and operators,” Buitekant said. “These solutions aren’t just transactional, they are built to keep consumers coming back, which is what drives stronger, more durable outcomes for our partners and iGaming operators.”
She added: “My priority is converting FPSM’s platform and product investment into the engine that generates high-value consumer relationships, and I’m looking forward to working with the team and our partners and customers to realise the full potential of this AI-powered technology.”
FairPlay Targets Further International Expansion
FairPlay Sports Media has its roots in oddschecker, which was founded in 1999, but has since developed into a wider sports media and technology group. The Bruin Capital-owned company is headquartered in London and now operates across North America and Europe with more than 200 employees.
Group CEO Stuart Simms said Buitekant’s experience working with audience-led businesses would support the company as it looks to scale its technology and products internationally.
“Hannah is a fantastic addition to our executive team at FairPlay Sports Media,” Simms said
“Her track record speaks for itself; she has performed in evolving markets, overcoming sector challenges to deliver consistent growth with an acute eye on finding new engagement and partnership opportunities.”
“As we continue to scale our AI-powered platforms and products globally, Hannah’s commercial expertise and experience working in multi-brand, audience-centric companies will be invaluable in accelerating our next growth phase.”
Buitekant’s appointment places her at the centre of that strategy, with her remit spanning both the acquisition of new partners and the expansion of existing relationships as FairPlay Sports Media looks to generate further commercial value from its data, technology and sports audiences.
