Betano’s Master Sponsorship of Fluminense Women’s Team Announced on International Women’s Day
Betano had already held the same sponsorship position on the club’s men’s team kit, and the new deal extends the partnership to the women’s side

Betano has officially expanded its partnership with Fluminense FC by becoming the master sponsor of the club’s women’s football team. The agreement was formally announced on 8 March to coincide with International Women's Day.
Betano had already held the same sponsorship position on the club’s men’s team kit, and the new deal extends the partnership to the women’s side. According to the club, the agreement will run until December 2025 and covers both the senior and youth women’s squads.
The new arrangement builds on the relationship between Betano and the Rio de Janeiro club, which first began in 2021. Since then, the partnership has continued to grow, with the latest renewal introducing additional initiatives including advertising board placements, investment in the club’s media platform FluTV and new fan engagement activations.
Club Leadership Welcomes Expanded Partnership
Mário Bittencourt highlighted the importance of the investment in strengthening the club’s women’s football structure.
Mário Bittencourt said:
“Investing in an increasingly strong and competitive women’s football structure is one of our priorities and forms part of our values. We work hard to support the growth of the game.
This new stage of the partnership is therefore very welcome and demonstrates how Betano is committed to the Fluminense project, believing in the reconstruction and development of the club as a whole.”
Over recent seasons, the partnership between Fluminense and Betano has also included a number of fan-focused initiatives and brand activations. These have ranged from the ‘Betano Day’ event in Laranjeiras to fan meet-ups to watch matches in bars or at the stadium, as well as supporter trips to follow the team.
Betano Highlights Support for Women’s Sport
Alexandre Fonseca also emphasised the significance of confirming the sponsorship on International Women’s Day.
Alexandre Fonseca said:
“It is an honour for Betano, on International Women’s Day, to formalise its sponsorship of the Fluminense women’s football team, a club with which we have had a long-standing partnership.
One of our main objectives is to promote the sports market and we know that, within this sector, female athletes and professionals must continue to strengthen their space of equality and importance in sport.
We are very happy and proud of this new step, which adds to many other initiatives we have already carried out and which have generated value and positive experiences for athletes, supporters and customers.”
Continued Growth for Fluminense Women’s Football
In recent years, the development of Fluminense’s women’s programme has delivered notable results. The club secured its first major title in the discipline with the 2020 Brasileirão Sub-18 championship, while the “Girls of Xerém” were also crowned champions of the Campeonato Carioca Sub-17 after defeating rivals CR Flamengo in the final.
The team now trains at the club’s youth training complex in Xerém, using the full facilities available to the academy, including recovery and performance centres. The improved structure has also contributed to a number of players being called up to Brazil’s youth national teams.
