Detroit’s commercial casino sector recorded solid results in November 2025, with the city’s three land-based operators collectively posting $108.2 million in gaming revenue, according to figures released by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.

The majority of income was generated from traditional casino activity, with table games and slot machines accounting for $106.5 million, while retail sports betting added a further $1.7 million. MGM Grand Detroit remained the clear market leader, holding a 47% share of total revenue. MotorCity Casino followed with 30%, while Hollywood Casino at Greektown secured the remaining 23%.

Compared with previous periods, casino gaming revenue showed marginal growth, increasing by 0.1% year-on-year and rising 0.5% from October 2025. Despite this monthly stability, combined table and slot revenue for the year to date remains 1% lower than the same period in 2024.

Individually, MGM Grand Detroit reported $50.7 million in table and slot revenue, representing a 3% increase compared with last year. MotorCity Casino generated $31.4 million, reflecting a 5% decline, while Hollywood Casino at Greektown recorded $24.4 million, up 1% year-on-year.

During the month, the casinos contributed $8.63 million in state gaming taxes and a further $13.2 million to the City of Detroit through wagering taxes and development agreement payments.

Retail sports betting activity saw a total handle of $14.4 million across the three venues, producing $1.7 million in gross receipts. While qualified adjusted gross receipts fell 10.8% compared with November 2024, they increased by the same margin compared with October 2025. MGM Grand Detroit led the segment with $587,294 in QAGR, narrowly ahead of MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown.

The casinos paid $64,553 in state taxes from retail sports betting, alongside $78,899 in city wagering taxes. Separately, fantasy contest operators reported $921,446 in adjusted revenues for October 2025 and contributed $77,401 in taxes.
