Slovenian Casinos Reopen Following Cyberattack
HIT Group has begun reopening its Slovenian casino properties after restoring information systems affected by a cyberattack earlier this week.

HIT Group has begun reopening its Slovenian casinos following a cyberattack that disrupted the operator’s information systems.
The operator detected the cybersecurity incident during the night of 24–25 August, forcing it to temporarily close six properties: Perla, Park, Casino Drive-in, Mond, Korona and Casino Fontana.
HIT’s hotels remained operational, although with limited services during the disruption.
HIT Begins System Recovery
Following the incident, specialist teams launched a forensic investigation to assess the impact of the cyberattack and determine the appropriate response.
The company also notified the relevant government institutions and worked with external cybersecurity experts to restore its affected systems.
In an update published on 28 August, HIT said it had successfully established the technical conditions necessary to begin reopening the affected casino properties.
The reopening follows the restoration of the information systems required to resume casino operations.
