São Paulo Betting Operators Set to Launch New Industry Union
The organisation aims to provide a structured platform for industry dialogue with regulatory authorities and public institutions.

A new industry body representing sports betting and online gaming operators is set to be established in São Paulo, as Brazil’s gambling sector continues its path toward formal regulation and expansion.
A general assembly convened in Brazil will officially launch the Union of Betting Operators and Online Games of the State of São Paulo (Sindbet/SP). The organisation aims to provide a structured platform for industry dialogue with regulatory authorities and public institutions.
To join the union, companies must demonstrate that they are legally operating within the state of São Paulo. This includes submitting documentation such as corporate registration, proof of legal representation, and evidence of business activity in the sector.
The move comes amid growing institutional efforts to organise Brazil’s fast-evolving gambling industry, which has recently seen a surge in legislative and commercial activity.
The call for the assembly was jointly signed by representatives from Sol Serviços de Intermediação, Betboom, and Stake Brazil—three notable players in the local market.
The creation of Sindbet/SP marks what could be a significant step forward for industry representation, particularly at the state level. It also reflects broader ambitions among operators to establish a unified voice across Brazil’s fragmented gambling landscape.
The assembly will be held in a hybrid format, with the option to attend either in person or remotely. On the agenda are the formal founding of the union, approval of its governing statute, election of its first executive board and fiscal council, and the definition of its territorial scope.
