Veikkaus Signs Gaming Corps Content Deal Ahead Of Finland's 2027 Gambling Market Opening
The Finnish state-owned operator will introduce Gaming Corps' slot portfolio as it prepares for increased competition under the country's new licensing framework.

Veikkaus has signed a content partnership with Swedish games developer Gaming Corps as Finland prepares to open its online gambling market to licensed competition on 1 July 2027.
The agreement will see Gaming Corps supply its slot games to the Finnish state-owned operator, expanding Veikkaus' online casino offering ahead of the country's transition away from its longstanding gambling monopoly.
The initial rollout will focus on Gaming Corps' existing slots portfolio, including titles from its 3 Pigs franchise, with the potential to introduce additional gaming products as the partnership develops.
The deal forms part of Veikkaus' preparations for a more competitive domestic market, with international operators set to enter Finland's online casino and sports betting sectors under the new regulatory framework.
Gaming Corps Expands Content Distribution Through Veikkaus
Gaming Corps will initially provide Veikkaus with a selection of slot games featuring different themes, mechanics and established intellectual property.
Among the supplier's most recognisable products is its 3 Pigs franchise, which features recurring characters across multiple titles incorporating different gameplay features and visual themes.
The agreement also creates opportunities for Veikkaus to introduce content from Gaming Corps' wider portfolio, including table games, mine games, plinko and multiplier products.
Gaming Corps' proprietary game concepts, including Smash4Cash, A-MAZE-CADES and X-MY-WAY, could also become part of the operator's offering as the relationship develops.
Graham Greensmith, Chief Commercial Officer at Gaming Corps, highlighted the significance of partnering with one of Finland's most established gambling businesses at a time of considerable regulatory change.
“Veikkaus is one of the most established names in European gaming, with an extraordinary reach and relationship with players in Finland. The market is now approaching one of the biggest changes in its history, so this is a particularly exciting time for us to begin working together,” Greensmith said.
He added that the supplier's variety of games and mechanics could provide a competitive advantage as Finland's online gambling market becomes more crowded.
“We've built Gaming Corps around variety, with inventive mechanics, fresh concepts and a broad mix of gameplay experiences. That breadth can be a real advantage as competition in Finland increases.”
Veikkaus Strengthens Portfolio Ahead Of Market Liberalisation
Veikkaus has operated in Finland for more than 85 years and currently serves approximately 2.7 million registered customers across lottery, sports betting, online casino and instant-win products.
Its operations also include Casino Helsinki and a network of 44 gaming arcades, alongside its established online platform, veikkaus.fi.
However, the company's position in Finland's gambling industry is set to change significantly when the country introduces a competitive licensing system for online casino gaming and sports betting in July 2027.
The reforms will allow approved private operators to compete with Veikkaus in these sectors, ending the exclusive position it has historically maintained.
As a result, Veikkaus has been expanding its supplier relationships and strengthening its product portfolio in preparation for the arrival of new competitors.
Riikka Seppänen, Vice President of iCasino at Veikkaus, praised Gaming Corps for the speed and efficiency of its content delivery.
“Gaming Corps has been superb to work with, delivering its content in record time and with real precision. That speed and execution is hugely valuable to us, and their arrival comes at a great time as we continue preparing for the changes ahead in Finland,” Seppänen said.
She added that the developer's slots portfolio complemented Veikkaus' plans for its online casino offering, with the operator looking forward to introducing the games to customers.
Finland's Licensing Reforms Attract International Interest
Finland's transition to a competitive online gambling market represents a significant opportunity for established operators and international gaming suppliers.
The country's National Police Board had received 75 licence applications by late September 2026, reflecting considerable interest in entering the newly regulated market.
Among the companies preparing for the transition is SkillOnNet, the operator behind PlayOJO, which recently secured a Finnish gambling licence ahead of the July 2027 opening.
For Veikkaus, partnerships with developers such as Gaming Corps provide an opportunity to strengthen its existing customer offering before international competition begins.
Gaming Corps, founded in 2014 and listed on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market, operates from Sweden with development teams in Great Britain, Malta and Ukraine.
The Veikkaus agreement extends the supplier's distribution network while providing access to an established Finnish operator ahead of the country's regulatory transition.
With the new licensing framework approaching, both companies will be seeking to build on the partnership as Finland prepares for a more competitive online gambling environment.
