Home Run for iGaming: BetMGM Steps Up to the Plate at MLB All-Star Week
The prominent operator—a powerhouse North American joint venture orchestrated by MGM Resorts International and Entain—is taking over a slice of the fan experience by spotlighting two bespoke, baseball-themed digital casino games: Derek Jeter LuckyTap and Phillies LuckyTap.

BetMGM has unveiled an immersive fan activation strategy for Major League Baseball's marquee All-Star Week, choosing the high-profile platform to showcase its latest crossover casino titles.
Both games were brought to life through a collaborative development pipeline with Design Works Gaming. The flagship Derek Jeter title was constructed in tandem with the legendary former New York Yankees shortstop himself, who serves as a headline brand ambassador for the BetMGM platform.
Merging Diamond Dynamics with Digital Slots
The custom games aim to gamify baseball's fundamental mechanics into quick-fire instant-win formats. In Derek Jeter LuckyTap, players step into the virtual shoes of an elite shortstop, catching flying baseballs to unlock a tiered ladder of bonus multipliers. Meanwhile, Phillies LuckyTap shifts the perspective entirely, placing the user in the batter’s box to swing for instant prizes.
The experiential rollout is currently anchoring BetMGM's presence at the Capital One All-Star Village, hosted inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia from 11 to 14 July.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, highlighted the operator's objective to blend digital gaming with live-event sports culture:
“All-Star Week gives BetMGM the opportunity to deliver once-in-a-lifetime moments and bring fans closer to the action. Through partnerships with Major League Baseball and Derek Jeter, including exclusive casino games and VIP meet-and-greet opportunities, we’re bringing that vision to life in new ways.”
Deepening the Major League Alliance
The showcase follows a period of aggressive product expansion for the brand. At the end of June, the operator pulled back the curtain on a completely redesigned iteration of its Borgata Online Casino application.
The timing of the rollout aligns with a broader corporate strategy. BetMGM and its parent entity, MGM Resorts, recently cemented their long-term position in sports entertainment by renewing their official, multi-year partnership framework with Major League Baseball. This ensures the gambling giants retain premium data rights, marketing assets, and a direct line into baseball's most coveted fan events for years to come.
