Sportradar Reports 11% Q1 Revenue Rise as New COO Named

Sportradar has reported an 11 per cent year-on-year increase in Q1 revenue, citing strong performance in its Betting Technology and Solutions division and continued growth outside the US.

Revenue growth driven by core segments

The sports technology company, which last week pushed back against short seller allegations regarding activity in illegal markets, posted revenue of €347m, up from €311.2m in Q1 2025.

Betting Technology and Solutions revenue rose 15 per cent to €287.6m, while revenue outside the US climbed 14 per cent to €257.1m. US revenue saw more modest growth, increasing four per cent to €89.4m.

Adjusted EBITDA was up 12 per cent to €66m. However, Sports Content, Technology and Services revenue declined four per cent to €58.9m. This was partly due to a nine per cent drop in Marketing and Media Services revenue, despite an 81 per cent increase in Integrity Services revenue to €5.8m.

IMG portfolio supports expansion

“Our recently acquired portfolio of IMG content has further bolstered our diverse offering and is resonating with customers worldwide while also expanding our margins as we increasingly leverage our existing infrastructure,” said CEO Carsten Koerl.

“Maximising the opportunities [of] our market leadership position and long-standing relationships remains our priority as we also begin to capitalise on new avenues of growth, including prediction markets and igaming.”

Sameer Deen appointed COO

Alongside its results, Sportradar confirmed the appointment of Sameer Deen as Chief Operating Officer, effective May 18. Deen joins from Entain, where he currently serves as Group Chief Commercial Officer and President.

“Sportradar sits at the dynamic intersection of sports, technology and user experiences – areas where I’ve built my career and passion,” said Deen.

“Their relentless focus on innovation and the incredible team they’ve built have been instrumental in delivering unparalleled experiences for fans while optimizing client’s business performance.

“I’m looking forward to working with Carsten and the team in writing Sportradar’s next chapter, helping sportsbooks navigate and grow within the evolving sports product landscape.”

Koerl added:

“We are thrilled to have Sameer join our executive team at such a transformative time for our industry. With his expertise in sports betting and digital media, combined with a proven ability to scale businesses and build top-performing teams, he is well-positioned to drive and optimise our commercial operations and partnerships forward.

“His leadership will be a tremendous asset as we continue to innovate and strengthen our position as a global leader in sports technology and serve the evolving needs of our clients and partners.”
