Merkur Casino UK Expands with New Xscape Milton Keynes Opening
The 22,000 sq ft venue, opening on Saturday 1 November 2025, will feature a 1,367 m² gaming floor equipped with 72 slot machines, 26 electronic roulette terminals, and 15 live gaming tables.
Merkur Casino UK has announced the opening of a new casino at Xscape Milton Keynes, marking another milestone in the company’s expansion across the UK leisure sector.
The 22,000 sq ft venue, opening on Saturday 1 November 2025, will feature a 1,367 m² gaming floor equipped with 72 slot machines, 26 electronic roulette terminals, and 15 live gaming tables. In addition, guests will enjoy a 4,700 sq ft bar and event space designed to host live performances, community events, and private functions.
Milton Keynes was chosen for the new site due to its central location and existing ties with the brand, which already operates its UK head office in the town. The development will create over 100 new roles spanning gaming, hospitality, and management, with new recruits supported through Merkur’s dedicated training and development programmes.
Local suppliers and contractors contributed to the project’s construction and fit-out, reflecting Merkur’s commitment to partnering with regional businesses wherever possible.
An official launch event on opening day will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live entertainment, and a £10,000 cash prize draw.
The new opening follows a period of significant growth for Merkur, including its first move into the Northern Ireland market through the acquisition of Oasis Retail Services and the completion of its purchase of Gaming Arts in North America.
