Lottomatica strengthens its lead; strong growth recorded by Sisal, Snaitech, and Betsson

Italy’s online gaming market surged in July 2025, with fresh data from Agimeg confirming a strong upward trend across all key verticals. From online casinos to poker – both cash and tournament – the market recorded consistent gains, signalling robust player engagement during the summer period.
Online Casino Drives Growth
The standout performer was the online casino sector, where gross gaming revenue (GGR) hit €263.6 million – a 15.6% jump on July 2024’s figure of €228.1 million. The segment continues to underpin overall market expansion, driven by sustained customer activity and product diversification.
Lottomatica remains firmly in the lead, capturing over 30% of total spend and increasing its market share by 1.4 percentage points year-on-year. Sisal also posted notable gains, with market share up 13.7%, while Snaitech (+1.5%) and Betsson Group (+11.6%) recorded steady growth.
Several mid-tier and rising operators saw exceptional performance, including Admiral Sport (+16.7%), Replatz (+50.6%), Domus Bet (+50.9%), and Quigioco (+57.5%).
Cash Poker Posts Solid Increase
Cash poker also posted a positive performance, with GGR climbing to €4.7 million – up 6.8% from €4.4 million in July 2024. Lottomatica led the segment in growth (+12.9%), followed by a strong 18.5% gain by Sisal. Microgame rose by 12.1%, while Domus Bet (+17.6%), Betaland (+80%), and Replatz (+67.6%) all delivered standout results. Notably, Replatz’s performance is now accounted for under the Fastbet umbrella following recent consolidation with Terrybet.
Tournament Poker Momentum Builds
Tournament poker also saw healthy momentum, with total GGR rising 8.4% year-on-year to €9 million. While market leaders PokerStars and Bet365 saw respective declines of 7.5% and 9.2%, several other operators stepped up.
Lottomatica registered a 10% increase in its share of the tournament segment, while Sisal surged by 44.2%. Microgame delivered the most remarkable growth in this category, jumping 166.7%.
