Rank Group Expects £63m Profit After Strong FY2025 Revenue of £795m
Buoyed by a strong final quarter, the company now expects its underlying operating profit to exceed £63 million, surpassing earlier internal projections.

The Rank Group has posted a robust financial update for the year ending 30 June 2025, with like-for-like net gaming revenue rising 11% year-on-year to approximately £795 million ($1 billion). Buoyed by a strong final quarter, the company now expects its underlying operating profit to exceed £63 million, surpassing earlier internal projections.
CEO John O’Reilly attributed the outperformance to continued trading momentum in Q4, despite what he called “significant cost and regulatory headwinds.”
The update comes just weeks before key reforms to the UK gambling framework take effect. From 22 July, new rules under the Gambling Act will allow small casinos in England and Wales to operate five gaming machines per gaming table, up from the current limit of two.
In response, Rank has confirmed it will add 882 new machines across its Grosvenor Casino venues, supplementing the 1,367 machines already in place. The rollout will take place through local authority licensing procedures in the coming months.
Other regulatory shifts include the introduction of on-site sports betting, alongside future changes such as an increase in ID verification age and the implementation of a statutory levy on gambling operators.
The positive results follow a strong Q3, where Rank reported a 10.9% increase in net gaming revenue, and reflect growing momentum in both retail and digital operations. The group has also made notable strides online, including a recent partnership with games developer Octoplay, aimed at enhancing its digital gaming offering.
Rank's upbeat outlook, combined with its proactive response to regulatory changes, positions the company for continued growth in a transforming UK gambling market.
