Tamer Hassan Named President of Sports.com Studios as Lottery.com Expands Content Ambitions

Lottery.com has announced the appointment of British actor and producer Tamer Hassan as President of its newly launched division, Sports.com Studios. The new arm will focus on the creation and global distribution of sports-centred films, docuseries, and digital content.

Hassan, who joined the Lottery.com board in June 2023, brings over 25 years of experience across the film and television industries. In his new role, he will lead the creative direction, financing, and distribution strategy for the studio’s inaugural content slate.

Matthew McGahan, Chairman and CEO of Lottery.com, described Hassan as an ideal fit for the role:

“Tamer is a force of nature – his experience, storytelling instincts and deep connection to the world of sport make him uniquely suited to lead Sports.com Studios.”

Projects currently in pre-production include a documentary chronicling the takeover and resurgence of a British football club, as well as exclusive behind-the-scenes content with elite athletes.

Commenting on his appointment, Hassan said:

“I’ve always believed in the power of sport and film to unite, inspire and tell real human stories. As President of Sports.com Studios, I’m excited to bring those worlds together and produce original, emotional and authentic content for fans across the globe.”

The announcement follows news on 12 June that Lottery.com has agreed to acquire a 90% stake in Dubai-based sports incubator Nook Holdings for $2.5 million—further strengthening its presence in the global sports ecosystem.

Earlier this year, the company also revealed plans to establish new Sports.com locations in Al Quoz, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, and Greater Miami, reinforcing its position as an emerging multi-vertical sports brand.

Sports.com Studios will operate as an independent division under the Lottery.com umbrella and report directly to McGahan.
