IGT Rebrands Global Lottery Division as Brightstar Lottery
Standalone lottery business to emerge following gaming division sale

International Game Technology (IGT) has unveiled a new identity for its global lottery operations, rebranding the business as Brightstar Lottery ahead of the completion of its gaming division sale.
The rebrand follows the impending merger of IGT’s gaming and digital segments with Everi, a transaction that will see the combined entity sold to Apollo Global Management. The deal is expected to be finalised on 1 July, after which Brightstar will operate as a standalone lottery company.
Once launched, Brightstar will focus exclusively on lottery operations, supplying nearly 90 customers across six continents. This includes most US lottery jurisdictions and seven of the world’s ten largest lotteries.
“We have a nearly 50-year history of reliability, innovation, and leadership in lottery, a bedrock from which we are launching Brightstar with a future-forward mindset of helping lottery customers around the world succeed in an environment of digital adoption, shifting player expectations, and an increasing variety of gaming choices,” said Vince Sadusky, CEO of Brightstar.
Marco Sala, Executive Chair of Brightstar, added:
“Brightstar will be well-positioned to focus on driving innovation and growing the potential of the lottery business responsibly for the entertainment of players, the success of our customers, and the support of the good causes they fund in their communities.”
Shares in International Game Technology plc (NYSE:IGT) rose by 0.99% on Tuesday, closing at $15.23 in New York.
