Playtech and PMU Forge Strategic Poker Partnership
The collaboration includes Playtech’s advanced poker platform, gamification features, and player engagement tools, alongside its diverse range of poker games and tournaments.

Playtech has entered into a strategic partnership with French gaming operator Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU), focusing on enhancing PMU’s poker offerings. As part of the deal, PMU will join the iPoker.EU network, with Playtech providing its poker network services and content.
The collaboration includes Playtech’s advanced poker platform, gamification features, and player engagement tools, alongside its diverse range of poker games and tournaments.
This marks Playtech’s second major poker partnership in France, following its agreement with La Française des Jeux (FDJ) in July 2023, where it supplied services and content for FDJ’s poker network.
Marat Koss, VP of Interactive Gaming at Playtech, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership:
“We are thrilled to partner with PMU, a leader in the French gaming market. France is a key market for Playtech, and this collaboration continues to highlight our commitment to providing innovative and engaging poker solutions to our licensees’ needs, ensuring an engaging experience for their players.”
Notably, Playtech’s Elite Series Winter Edition, held between December 2023 and January 2024, was the largest event ever hosted on the iPoker network.
Stéphane Auffret, PMU’s Product, Service and Innovation Director, emphasised the strategic importance of the deal:
“Partnering with Playtech and joining the iPoker network represents a strategic and significant step for PMU's growth, allowing us to offer our players an unparalleled poker experience.
“This collaboration will enable us to enhance our offerings, including multi-vertical access to poker through Turf and Sports Applications, and consistently deliver the best experience and technology to our players. We are confident that this partnership will significantly elevate our poker offerings and drive substantial growth in the French market.”
