Paddy Power Announced as Title Sponsor of 2024 Kabaddi World Cup
The operator hailed the event as the “ultimate test of endurance with plenty of raw skill, physical prowess, a rowdy vibe, and plenty of shouting.”

Paddy Power has been unveiled as the title sponsor for next year’s Kabaddi World Cup, set to take place in England in March 2024. The operator hailed the event as the “ultimate test of endurance with plenty of raw skill, physical prowess, a rowdy vibe, and plenty of shouting.”
Kabaddi, a high-intensity contact sport originating in ancient India, is played between two teams of seven players. Known for its blend of strategy, speed, and physicality, the sport has grown in popularity on the international stage.
In a statement, Paddy Power’s press release highlighted the excitement surrounding the sponsorship:
“He’s pushed all the desks against the wall and is chasing the traders around shouting Kabaddi, Kabaddi, Kabaddi in preparation for the big show next spring. Like a pig in the brown stuff. You should see his happy little face. There’s more to it than that, of course, and you can check out our Kabaddi rules explainer here. But, for now, the big countdown is on so get clued up. And, remember, Kabaddi! Kabaddi! Kabaddi!”
The announcement adds another layer to Paddy Power’s ongoing sports initiatives. The operator has also pledged £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 scored at the 2024/25 PDC World Darts Championship, which starts this Sunday. This year, the stakes are higher with a £180,000 bonus on offer every time a player hits a nine-darter.
Paddy Power’s bold and energetic approach to sponsorship underscores its commitment to engaging fans across a variety of sports, from traditional events to lesser-known yet dynamic competitions like Kabaddi.
