Medier Files £1.3M Lawsuit Against Mike Tyson Over Broken Gambling Promotion Deal
The dispute escalated in March when Tyson reportedly broke the agreement on the same day his fight with YouTuber Jake Paul was announced

Former professional boxer Mike Tyson and his company, Tyrannic, are facing a lawsuit filed by affiliate Medier, alleging breach of contract in a gambling promotion agreement.
Alleged Contract Breach
According to reports, Tyson is being sued for nearly £1.3 million (€1.5 million) for allegedly failing to fulfil a contract signed in January to promote a gambling company. The dispute escalated in March when Tyson reportedly broke the agreement on the same day his fight with YouTuber Jake Paul was announced. Medier claims the breach caused substantial financial losses, attributing Tyson’s withdrawal to his focus on the fight.
Tyson's Defence
Tyson’s representatives, however, argue that Medier failed to uphold its contractual obligations. They claim that Medier breached the terms of the agreement on “multiple occasions,” giving Tyrannic the right to terminate the partnership.
Record-Breaking Fight
The fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, which took place in November, garnered massive viewership, peaking at 65 million households on Netflix. The event not only broke streaming records but also drove unprecedented traffic to sportsbooks, highlighting its impact on the betting industry.
The legal battle underscores the complexities of celebrity endorsements in the gambling sector, with both sides presenting conflicting claims about the contract’s breach and its financial implications.
