ACR Poker has successfully concluded its third annual charity tournament series in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, raising $20,000 for the United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF).
The online event, held on October 16, brought together poker players and ACR pros to raise funds for individuals and families affected by breast cancer. The fundraising series featured two tournaments: a $55 buy-in event with a $15,000 guarantee, which attracted 299 participants and generated a $14,950 prize pool, and a $16.50 buy-in tournament with a $5,000 guarantee, drawing 339 entrants and creating a $5,085 prize pool.
ACR Pros Katie Lindsay and Ebony Kenney, along with ACR Team Online member Svitlana ‘Svetarik’ Dryha, hosted the event and streamed the action live. Their broadcast provided viewers with an inside look at the tournament while raising awareness about breast cancer support.
The live stream also included a promotional giveaway, where 30 viewers won $66 tickets to ACR Poker's $1 million guaranteed Venom Warmup.
Stephanie Mastroianni, Executive Director of UBCF, expressed her gratitude for the event:
“We are so thankful to ACR Poker and its players for their generous donation, which will help support individuals and families affected by breast cancer. These funds will benefit our most sought-after program, the Individual Grant Program, providing customised support for expenses ranging from medical bills and procedures to housing bills and insurance coverage.”
ACR Pro Katie Lindsay also shared her excitement about the success of the event:
“I’m so excited to once again raise money for such an incredible foundation. UBCF provides so much support and healing opportunities for people battling against cancer, and I’m so grateful to everyone for being part of raising money for such an important cause.”
