Online Sports Betting Goes Live in Delaware

This week, Delaware added digital sports betting sites to its repertory, allowing citizens to place bets on sports games online without crossing state lines.

The additional locations, which have been in the works since early autumn, are available at Delaware casinos Bally's Dover, Delaware Park, and Harrington Raceway.

Players must be 21 years old and reside in the state of Delaware, which is determined by the device's location.

The Delaware Lottery's website has connections to iGaming. Players may now get the BetRivers mobile app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Prior to the debut, gamers had to travel state boundaries, giving neighbouring states with legalised applications an advantage over Delaware.

Prior to internet betting, Delaware only provided sports betting in person at the three casinos, as well as parlay cards at shops within the state.

Rush Street Interactive, an online gaming firm, was picked by a lottery staff committee and state officials, and it was scheduled to be implemented by early winter.

The Delaware Lottery struck an arrangement with RSI that included the state's first foray into online sports betting. RSI also assumed control of Delaware's current virtual casino games.

RSI replaced 888 Gaming, the previous platform utilised by the state when online gambling began in 2013.
