Allwyn Appoints Francesco Rodano As Group Head Of Responsible Gaming
The former Playtech executive and Italian regulator will lead responsible gaming strategy across Allwyn’s growing international operations.

Allwyn has appointed Francesco Rodano as its new Group Head of Responsible Gaming, strengthening its senior leadership team as the lottery operator continues to expand its international presence.
Rodano joins Allwyn following more than a decade at Playtech, where he held a number of senior roles focused on responsible gambling and sustainability. His work included leading a global initiative centred on player protection and long-term business sustainability, alongside supporting the implementation of AI-powered behavioural analytics technology.
Rodano Brings Regulatory And Industry Experience
Before joining Playtech, Rodano spent approximately 10 years as Director of Remote Gaming at Italy's gambling regulator, the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM).
During his time with the regulator, he played a role in establishing Italy's national online gambling framework and worked with regulatory authorities in other international markets.
Allwyn CEO Robert Chvátal said Rodano's appointment reflected the group's wider approach to responsible gaming as it develops its operations across multiple jurisdictions.
“As Allwyn expands its global presence, being responsible isn’t just how we approach business, it is a key part of who we are and our long-term strength,” Chvátal said.
“From how we partner, hire and innovate, to how we make games safer, we embed integrity and care across everything we do.
“Francesco’s appointment and the experience he brings are another clear commitment to that philosophy, and I am delighted to welcome him to Allwyn.”
Allwyn Targets Responsible Gaming Development
Rodano will now be responsible for building on the player protection measures already operating across Allwyn's markets and developing the group's responsible gaming strategy as its international footprint grows.
“I am privileged to be joining Allwyn and to build on the strong responsible gaming platform the company has already put in place across its markets,” Rodano said.
“Player protection is something I live and breathe, and I look forward to implementing that passion at scale across Allwyn.”
The appointment follows another recent change to Allwyn's senior leadership team. In August, the company named former Evoke Chief Commercial Officer Phil Walker as interim CEO of its UK business.
