Continent 8 Extends Nutanix Partnership To Advance iGaming Cloud Services

Continent 8 Technologies has extended its partnership with Nutanix as the companies look to develop and deploy cloud infrastructure designed for the global iGaming and online sports betting industry.

The expanded collaboration will combine Nutanix's hybrid cloud technology with Continent 8's infrastructure and operational expertise, with a particular focus on security, performance and regulatory compliance.

Continent 8 has also been selected as an early access partner for Nutanix Service Provider Central (SP Central), a new multitenant cloud platform first announced in April. The company will be among the first service providers to commercially deploy a service using the technology.

Continent 8 To Deploy SP Central Technology

SP Central is designed to provide multitenant cloud capabilities while allowing individual customer environments to retain appropriate levels of control and oversight.

For Continent 8, the technology will be combined with its existing operational governance model to support gambling companies working across multiple regulated jurisdictions.

Continent 8 is also continuing to invest in its cloud operations through certified specialists and AI-enabled Global Capability Centers in India, the Philippines and Bulgaria. These teams support projects including cloud migrations and infrastructure modernisation for customers operating in regulated markets.

Partnership Targets iGaming Cloud Modernisation

Continent 8 CEO Mike Small said the extension reflects a shared focus on developing cloud infrastructure capable of supporting businesses operating in highly regulated industries.

Nutanix Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Sachin Chheda added that the collaboration would enable Continent 8 to combine Nutanix Cloud Platform and SP Central technology with the security, performance and operational requirements of its customers.

Sportingtech Migration Highlights Existing Collaboration

The companies have already worked together on cloud modernisation projects within the gambling sector, including a migration completed for sportsbook and casino platform provider Sportingtech.

Continent 8 moved Sportingtech's infrastructure from VMware to Nutanix, with the companies saying the migration avoided a projected increase in virtualisation costs while maintaining the security, performance and compliance requirements of regulated markets.

The extended partnership will now see Continent 8 become one of Nutanix's early service provider partners to deploy its new multitenant technology commercially as it expands its cloud offering to iGaming operators and suppliers.
