Tipwin has appointed former Tipico Director of iGaming Christian Heins as its new Chief Commercial Officer, strengthening the operator’s senior leadership team in Germany.

In his new position, Heins will take responsibility for the commercial operations of Tipwin’s online casino and mobile sports betting businesses. His remit will also include expanding the company’s online product portfolio and developing greater integration between its digital operations and retail sports betting and gaming shops.

Heins Targets Omnichannel Growth

Heins joins Tipwin with extensive experience in the German gambling industry, including his previous role overseeing iGaming at Tipico. At Tipwin, he will focus on the company’s commercial strategy as it seeks to make greater use of its proprietary technology and development capabilities.

Heins said: “Tipwin combines many years of industry experience with a clear understanding of how brick-and-mortar and digital businesses can work together successfully.

“Our proprietary technology and a strong development team give us the speed and flexibility that make all the difference today. Tipwin is the speedboat racing against the tankers. I am very much looking forward to working with a dedicated team to set new trends and actively shape the next phase of growth.”

The appointment will see Heins work across Tipwin’s digital and land-based operations, with the operator seeking to create closer links between its online casino and mobile betting products and its established retail presence.

Tipwin Strengthens Commercial Leadership

Tipwin CEO Dr Damir Böhm said Heins’ knowledge of the gambling market and digital products would support the company as it looks to develop its commercial strategy and capitalise on opportunities across the business.

“With Christian Heins, we are gaining an experienced industry expert who knows the gambling market and the requirements of modern digital offerings very well,” Böhm said.

“His experience will help us to use existing potential more effectively and to further develop our commercial strategy sustainably.”

Alongside his industry roles, Heins is the founder of the European Gambling Gathering, which brings together operators, suppliers, regulators, researchers, technology providers and other gambling industry stakeholders for discussions on issues affecting the sector, including the illegal market.
