Kate Chambers, Founder & Managing Director at The Gaming Boardroom

I didn't plan a career in iGaming. Like many women in this industry, I found my way in through curiosity, opportunity, and a willingness to back myself when the path wasn't obvious.
I started my career in sales at Reed Exhibitions in the late 1990s, learning from the ground up what it takes to build commercial relationships and deliver results. Over the following decade, I held senior roles across UBM's global event portfolios, from pharmaceuticals and healthcare to interiors and leisure, gaining experience across continents and disciplines that would prove invaluable when I eventually landed in gambling.
Joining Clarion Gaming in 2010 was the role that defined the next chapter of my career. Over 13 years, I led ICE from a well-regarded UK trade show to the world's largest gambling event, expanding into Africa, North America, and Asia and overseeing a multi-million-dollar portfolio spanning live events, digital content, and community platforms. It was complex, fast-moving, and endlessly challenging. I loved every moment of it.
But what stayed with me wasn't the scale or the revenue; it was the conversations that happened away from the exhibition floor. The roundtables. The candid exchanges between senior executives who rarely had space to think out loud together. That insight led me to found The Gaming Boardroom (TGB) in 2021.
TGB is a digital membership platform built for C-suite executives, regulators, and suppliers across the global gambling sector. It exists to cut through the promotional noise and create an independent, intelligence-led space where leaders can make better decisions on regulation, emerging markets, cybersecurity, and beyond. Building it from scratch has been the most stretching, satisfying work of my career.
If I could offer one piece of advice to women navigating this industry, it would be this: don't wait for the seat at the table to be formally offered. Build your credibility through substance, through what you know, the standards you hold, and the quality of your thinking. The iGaming industry is evolving rapidly, and it needs leaders who combine commercial sharpness with genuine responsibility. That is not a gendered skill set. Own it.
The industry has changed significantly over the years I have been part of it, and I am proud to have played a role in shaping that change. There is still more to do, in representation, in culture and in the quality of leadership conversations we are having. But I remain optimistic. The women in this space are exceptional, and the industry is better for having us in it.
Ciara Nic Liam - Managing Director, Gaming at Entain Group
I’m the Managing Director of Gaming at Entain, where I lead the strategy and performance of one of the largest gaming portfolios in the industry. My role covers everything from product and supplier partnerships to engineering delivery across multiple markets. At its core, the job is about making sure we build great experiences for customers while running a sustainable, responsible business at scale.
I’ve spent most of my career in iGaming, joining the industry at a time when it was evolving quickly and still figuring out what it wanted to be. Over the years I’ve worked across multiple companies and jurisdictions, which has given me a broad perspective on how the ecosystem works and how much collaboration it takes to move things forward. Some of the highlights along the way include navigating major acquisitions, launching and scaling global partnerships, and helping grow gaming portfolios that reach millions of players worldwide.
What has always kept the industry interesting for me is the pace. Technology moves fast, regulation evolves, and customer expectations change constantly. That means leadership in this space is rarely about having perfect answers. It is more often about making decisions with imperfect information, surrounding yourself with good people, and being willing to learn quickly when things do not go exactly as planned.
One of the things I care about most now is building teams where people feel trusted to take ownership and push ideas forward. Some of the best outcomes in my career have come from giving talented people the space to experiment and move quickly, rather than getting stuck in layers of process.
For anyone building a career in iGaming, my advice is simple. Stay curious, build real relationships across the industry, and do not be afraid to move outside your comfort zone. This industry rewards people who are adaptable and willing to keep learning.
And for women coming into the space, my biggest encouragement is not to wait until you feel ready to take the next step. Confidence often follows action, not the other way around. There are more women shaping this industry now than ever before, and that momentum will only keep growing if we continue to support and champion each other along the way.
Katie Kohler - Sr. iGaming Communications Lead at BetMGM

I lead online casino communications at BetMGM and own the strategy behind how one of the most recognized names in iGaming tells its story. My work sits at the intersection of product, partnerships, press and an eye towards what’s next.
As Sr. iGaming Communications Lead, I build and execute communication strategies for new product launches, features, events, and promotions across BetMGM's Casino and Poker verticals. I collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners including game suppliers and vendors, as well as our parent companies (MGM Resorts International and Entain) to ensure our messaging is consistent.
Prior to BetMGM, I spent over a decade in local media earning statewide awards for stories that deserved to be told but were often overlooked by mainstream media. That foundation led me to Catena Media, where I helped build PlayPennsylvania into one of the company's top revenue-generating sites and was named runner-up for North American Employee of the Year in 2020. I also secured what I was told was the first weekly sports betting column by a woman in a major newspaper — a partnership with Philadelphia Daily News.
Since joining BetMGM in 2022, I've had the opportunity to work on milestone moments including a $6.5 million online progressive jackpot ( the largest in history at the time) and the launch of “The Lion’s Share,” the first custom-branded televised game in the history of The Price is Right.
I've driven partner launches with brands like IGT, Light & Wonder, and Fremantle, including the debut of Wheel of Fortune Online Casino, the first brand-led online casino in North America which generated millions in earned media. I also led award submissions that earned BetMGM "Online Casino of the Year" across prestigious industry awards.
For BetMGM Poker, I lead communications around all major tournaments and pivotal milestones including the merging of poker pools. BetMGM Poker has made tremendous strides and is now the top online poker operator for market share.
On the media side, I cultivate relationships with industry and mainstream journalists, identify editorial opportunities, and develop a robust suite of materials to keep a modern PR strategy moving. I also support speaking and conference opportunities to help position BetMGM's leaders as compelling voices in this space. In December 2023, IGB named me “One to Watch” in its Most Influential Women in Gaming list. I've also been shortlisted twice for the Women in Gaming Diversity Awards Rising Star honor. Recently, I was shortlisted by Casino Guru as an “iGaming Changemaker.”
What drives me is the craft of strategic storytelling in an industry that's constantly evolving. Behind every great story is a great team and I'm fortunate to work alongside the best communications and PR team in the business at BetMGM.
The iGaming industry moves fast and having a solid support system makes all the difference. I'm grateful for a family that raised me to stay curious, lead with kindness, and trust that hard work opens doors. That foundation has carried me further than I ever imagined.
Hanna Radchenko - CEO at APERCON

iGaming is one of the most dynamic and intellectually complex industries of the digital economy.
It is a field where technology, mathematics, psychology, emotion, speed, and competitive entrepreneurial energy intersect — and where the pace of business is felt especially strongly. Our company has extensive successful experience across different industries — from traditional markets such as retail, e-commerce, and FMCG to the iGaming sector, where today we hold leading positions in executive recruitment and strategic consulting in Eastern Europe.
From this experience I can say with confidence: in every industry, the strength of business is built on fundamental approaches. This is particularly important in the sensitive and fast-moving iGaming industry, where the dynamics and precision of each person and each decision directly determine the speed and scale of both personal and corporate results.
I am the CEO of APERCON, an international company and a market leader in Executive Search and strategic consulting for iGaming, fintech, and high-risk digital businesses in Eastern Europe.
Our mission is to help companies find leaders capable of building strong and effective business mechanisms and creating new trajectories of growth.
At the same time, we help candidates make the right career decisions — those that truly match their level of expertise, ambition, and the corporate culture of their future employer. After 15 years in the iGaming market, I can confidently say that people remain the most powerful force in business.
The success of any company begins with people, trust, and the ability to unite talented individuals around a big idea.
The right people can accelerate a business dramatically — while the wrong choices can undermine even the strongest strategy.Today, everyone working in the industry must combine expertise with flexibility and maturity, courage with engagement, entrepreneurial thinking with the ability to make fast and responsible decisions.
There are three things that ultimately determine success in the iGaming business: expertise, people, and passion for what you do.
APERCON works closely with founders, investors, and C-level executives, helping to build leadership teams for operators, platforms, game providers, and technology companies.
In many cases, the right intellectual decision and the hiring of a strong leader can increase GGR much faster than multi-million-dollar investments.Over the past decade, the iGaming industry has undergone a profound transformation.
It has become global, significantly more technological, and far more mature.
Along with this evolution, the paradigm of leadership is also changing. For young professionals entering the industry today, my advice is simple: build expertise, stay curious, and never underestimate the power of discipline — because discipline often beats talent.
Success rarely comes from shortcuts. It comes from consistency, continuous learning, and the ability to keep moving forward even when the path is uncertain.Invest in expertise, surround yourself with strong people, and never be afraid to take responsibility for big decisions.
The DNA of APERCON is built on professionalism, consistency, speed, competitive spirit, and deep respect for people.
These qualities have allowed us to become one of the faces of professional recruitment in Eastern Europe. Our mission is to remain a reliable guide and trusted partner for those who rely on us.
In our world, values matter — and integrity is more valuable than money.
In iGaming, one of the most information-driven industries where assets are intangible rather than physical, trust and human quality are especially important.I truly believe that the future of the iGaming industry will be shaped not only by technology and products, but first and foremost by people and the quality of leadership.
And in that future, women have every opportunity to play a key role.
Claudia Heiling - Co-Founder & COO at Golden Whale

Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside the iGaming industry, from its early experimental days to the global, highly sophisticated sector it is today. What began as curiosity and a love for computer games eventually turned into a career focused on building strong partnerships, scaling operations and shaping how millions of players experience gaming.
Shortly after finishing university, I joined the early team at Greentube. At the time, the industry was still in its infancy, and joining a small, ambitious company meant learning fast and wearing many hats. What followed became a high-speed personal development program during one of the most exciting phases of the industry’s growth.
Working in a close-knit and highly entrepreneurial team gave me the opportunity to contribute across both our B2B and B2C operations. From early skill games and 3D sports titles to social and real-money casino products, we were constantly exploring new directions as the market expanded globally. Being part of Greentube’s journey - and seeing it evolve into a key player within the Novomatic Group - was an incredibly formative experience and shaped the way I approach leadership today: hands-on, curious, and focused on getting things done.
After spending some time outside the industry, I realised just how unique the energy of iGaming is. In 2022, I returned by co-founding Golden Whale together with two long-time colleagues I deeply trust: Eberhard Dürrschmid, founder and former CEO of Greentube, and Thomas Kolbabek, former CTO of the Greentube Group. As COO, my focus today is on building and scaling a company that helps operators, platforms and game suppliers unlock the full potential of their data through machine learning. Our goal is to enable more sustainable player engagement while delivering measurable impact for our partners.
Having witnessed the industry evolve from its early startup days into a global, highly regulated sector, one thing has remained constant: innovation continues to drive everything forward. While AI is currently one of the biggest topics in technology, I strongly believe its real value lies in applying it responsibly to solve meaningful problems and support better decision-making.
One of the most encouraging changes I’ve seen over the years is the growing number of women stepping into leadership roles across the industry. When I started, this was far less common. Today, iGaming benefits from a much broader range of perspectives, which ultimately makes our industry stronger and more innovative.
If there is one thing my journey has taught me, it is that careers rarely follow a straight line. Staying curious, embracing opportunities and surrounding yourself with people you trust can open doors you never expected. For anyone entering the industry today -especially women - my advice is simple: be confident in your perspective, keep learning, and don’t hesitate to step forward. This industry still has plenty of exciting chapters ahead, and there is room for many more voices helping to shape its future.
Uliana Korobeynikova - Head of PR at iAffiliate

Hi, I’m Uliana. I lead PR at iAffiliate, where my job is to get our brands noticed and taken seriously across the iGaming space. That means building stories that actually resonate, making connections that matter, and running campaigns that cut through the noise.
Most days, I'm figuring out how to position our brands for the long haul. That involves everything from talking with media and industry partners to dreaming up creative campaigns, keeping on top of award entries, and spotting collaborations that genuinely move the needle. To me, PR is less about chasing visibility and more about earning a voice. It’s the disciplined effort of shaping perception, building trust, and making sure our brands actually have something to say that’s worth hearing.
I've been in iGaming for over eight years now. I started as a Content Manager, then moved into Project Management, which gave me a proper look at how products come together and how to keep teams aligned. When I eventually shifted into PR, it felt like the sweet spot. It pulled together the strategy I liked, the creativity I needed, and the relationship-building I hadn't realised I missed.
One moment in my career that still stands out was setting up a partnership with a global gaming provider. It was a first for the market; nobody had done anything quite like it before. And doing that as a smaller company showed me what persistence and a bit of creative thinking can actually achieve. Another highlight was watching one of our key brands go from relatively unknown to picking up five awards and ten shortlist nods in a single year. That kind of recognition across major industry events really shifts how people see you.
I've also been lucky enough to speak at a few international events along the way, including the iGaming & Web3 Awards in Montenegro, BEGE, and SNGS in Stockholm. It's a good way to test your thinking against people who see things differently.
If I had to boil down what I've learned, it's that this industry responds to people who put themselves out there. Be brave with your ideas, even the messy ones, and spend real time building relationships, not just contacts. Some of the best opportunities I've had came from conversations I nearly didn't have.
Viktoriia Grygorenko, CEO at The Playa

If you'd told me three years ago that I'd be a CEO in the iGaming industry, I wouldn't have believed you. My background was in finance and strategy – Investor Relations first, then McKinsey, where I worked on large-scale strategy and transformation projects, and then an investment fund focused on AI and tech businesses. Even discovering The Playa was something of an accident. One of the investors I worked with saw potential in the iGaming personalization space, and I joined as an advisor to figure out if there was real market demand. There was. So we started building a proof of concept and, at the same time, looking for a CEO to lead the company. We couldn't find the right person. And so here I am.
Today, I lead The Playa, AI-powered personalization solutions for iGaming operators. In just almost three years, we've built a team of iGaming veterans who've worked in product, analytics, and engineering at some of the biggest names in the space. We've gone from proof of concept to serving enterprise operators with $10M+ monthly GGR, gained industry visibility, and built a network of partners and clients who genuinely believe personalization will keep the industry competitive.
I truly love this journey. And yet there are moments when I catch myself thinking: “If I'd known how hard it would be, would I have gone for it anyway?” As both a CEO and a woman in iGaming, I've come to feel strongly that we need to do more to support each other. Moving up the career ladder means facing more demands, more scrutiny, and more moments of self-doubt. And I’m glad to see more communities emerge in the industry where we can be honest about the challenges, learn from each other, and grow together.
The most important thing I've learned as a leader is not to play by someone else's rules. It's easy to assume leadership means being the loudest, most decisive person in the room. Over time, I've come to believe it's about something quieter – knowing your own values, being honest about your limits, and creating space for the people around you to do their best work.
My advice to women moving toward senior roles: don't wait until you feel completely ready. Trust your values, build your network, and grow into it step by step.
Viktoriia Degtiarova, CCO & Co-Founder, Paysecure

I’ve spent over a decade building my career across iGaming and payments, working with global brands such as LeoVegas Group, PokerStars, and Genius Sports Group. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in navigating complex, high-growth markets and ultimately led me to co-found Paysecure, where I now lead as CCO, shaping strategy, driving partnerships, and steering the company’s growth in a rapidly evolving global payments landscape.
Coming from Ukraine has given me a unique perspective on leadership and business. Moving between different cultures, languages, and markets taught me to appreciate how people approach work, problem-solving, and collaboration in diverse ways. Today, I bring that perspective to Paysecure, helping iGaming operators navigate complex payments challenges, through intelligent AI-driven orchestration solutions.
Payments and iGaming are fast-moving and global by nature, which means every day brings new challenges, opportunities, and perspectives. It’s this combination of innovation and problem-solving that makes the industry so dynamic and exciting. I thrive on turning complexity into clarity; building partnerships, guiding operators, and helping them unlock growth while staying compliant and efficient.
Being able to lead in this industry, to influence how payments evolve and to help shape the future of iGaming, is something I’m genuinely proud of. That experience informs my advice to women entering the space: back yourself, be resilient, and trust in your own expertise. What truly matters in this industry is hard work, relentless curiosity, and the ability to see what’s coming next. It requires strong leadership, clear thinking, and a visionary approach to not just keep up but to lead.Because the real impact comes from those who don’t follow the market, but shape it.

Kate has an MBA from London Business School and over 25 years of tech and digital experience, including roles at BT, Defaqto, RiskScreen, and various startups.
Faye Williams, Head of Business Development, ThrillTech

Faye is Head of Business Development at ThrillTech, where she is responsible for driving commercial growth and building strategic partnerships across the iGaming sector. She joined the company in 2024 following senior roles across player engagement, VIP and account management, bringing a strong track record in revenue growth and customer retention.
Faye has more than ten years of experience in the gaming industry from operator to supplier, including leadership roles at Enteractive, WKND, Betsson Group and Gaming Innovation Group. Across these positions, she has specialised in player loyalty, VIP strategy and account development, working with operators to maximise lifetime value and strengthen player relationships.
Aberdeen (Abby) Hinze, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of The Fortune Engine and Mirror Image Gaming

I’m Aberdeen (Abby) Hinze, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of The Fortune Engine and Mirror Image Gaming. My role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, governance. I ensure that our technology, processes, and partnerships are structured to support long term growth and innovation in the iGaming industry.
My professional background is in cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance across both the private and government sectors. I was drawn to co-founding Mirror Image Gaming and The Fortune Engine because I had a strong drive to build something from the ground up with like minded partners. The trials and tribulations of startup life can be challenging, but in many ways they are incredibly energising. I love a good challenge, and building both a game studio and a first of its kind math solving SaaS platform in The Fortune Engine has given me something exciting to sink my teeth into over the past two years.
I love the iGaming industry. Having first been introduced to it around 10 years ago, I’ve dipped in and out while also spending time working inside government agencies (applying cyber security to critical infrastructure operational technology). That experience has given me a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and the importance of optimising opportunities while still operating within complex regulatory environments and I use a lot of this prior experience every day in my role as COO.
My days are incredibly varied. One moment I might be helping develop game art or sound design, and the next I’m overseeing commercial partnerships, meeting with operators, working with our finance teams on budgets, meeting with investors, writing policies and architecture diagrams or finding great talent to join our small but dedicated team.
For women considering a career in this industry, my advice is simple: don’t underestimate the value of your voice. Early in my career, a friend told me that even when you feel uncertain, you are often still the most qualified person in the room to speak about the things you know and have experienced. Confidence rarely arrives before the moment you need it; it tends to grow after you choose to speak. Sharing your perspective, even when you feel unsure, is often how you discover the value of what you bring to the table.
The industry continues to evolve rapidly, and there has never been a more exciting time to be part of shaping what comes next.
Maria Bashkevich – Head of Marketing at Uplatform

I’m currently the Head of Marketing at Uplatform, where I lead the global marketing strategy for our iGaming platform. In simple terms, my job is to make sure the industry not only knows who we are, but also understands why working with us actually makes sense for their business.
Marketing in iGaming is a fascinating challenge. There are many limitations on how and where you can promote your brand; competitors are often huge companies with marketing teams of 100+ people, and market expectations are high. But that’s exactly what makes it exciting. I enjoy building strategies that combine creativity with real business impact, campaigns that look good, make people stop and double-take, and actually move numbers.
I’ve been in marketing for over 13 years, with 9 of those in iGaming and about 7 in leadership. Over that time, I’ve worked across different areas of marketing, from analytics and digital marketing to social media and events, and spent a lot of time mentoring younger professionals entering the industry.
Working in this industry has taught me that leadership is more than just results. It’s about creating an environment where people feel comfortable speaking up, challenging ideas, and growing professionally. And one of the things I’m most proud of is building a team and projects that push ideas further than the ordinary.
I’m not sure if I’m in the position to give any advice - I’m still on my own journey toward bigger goals. But if I could advise my younger self, it would be this: live more. Stay curious, explore the world, and experience things outside of work. Creativity doesn’t appear in isolation. This industry needs fresh ideas, and those come from observing the world around you.
At one point, I worked extremely hard to prove something to myself and others:14-hour workdays, studying at night, and constant pressure. Looking back, I realize that some of the experiences I skipped during this time would probably have helped me think more creatively and build stronger campaigns.
Another thing I would say is: don’t let anyone convince you that you don’t belong in the room. If you bring ideas and results, the industry will eventually listen. And if it doesn’t at first - keep talking anyway.
Over the years, I’ve heard that I wasn’t experienced enough, dealt with sexist and ageist comments, and faced moments of clear disrespect. For a while, that made me doubt myself. Eventually, I decided to try things my way. We brought Lemon Trees to SIGMA, flowers to ICE, and pink giraffe patterns into a mostly male-dominated industry. We built colorful, expressive branding in a tech space full of serious “black” B2B companies.
And it worked! Our lead generation increased by 200% across events and marketing campaigns. Our brand has been nominated multiple times for awards such as EGR, SiGMA, and SBC, and I have personally received a few nominations and wins as well.
So my final advice is simple: be true to yourself and don’t try to fit the mold. Most of the time, that mold is outdated anyway :)
Joss Webster - Head of Commercial at GAMOMAT

When I entered the iGaming industry at 27, opportunities were far more limited and recruiters often demanded previous gaming experience, even for junior roles. At the time, I had already built a career in international sales across three countries with companies such as Microsoft, but breaking into the industry was not straightforward.
Today I am Head of Commercial at GAMOMAT, where I lead Sales and Account Management while advising leadership on long-term strategy. It’s an exciting time for the company as we transition from a slot studio to full games provider with our own RGS. Using performance data and market insights, I’ve helped shape our 2026 market entry strategy, new pricing structures, and a roadmap of integrations across regulated markets.
My path into the industry began at LeoVegas, where the only real entry point available at the time was through an outbound tele-sales team. There I drew on my earlier experience coaching sales teams in Australia. Although the shifts themselves were far from glamorous, the commission-based role quickly proved both lucrative and an invaluable foundation for understanding the industry from the ground up.
That experience led to my first B2B role as an Account Manager at Pragmatic Play, which was then still a small start-up in Malta. I became the first in the team to roll out Cash Drops and in-game promotional tools with major operators such as Tipico, helping to drive engagement for new titles while building the industry network that would shape much of my career. As Porter Gale puts it in her book: “Your network is your net worth.”
From there I joined NetEnt, widely considered one of the industry’s leading companies. It was known for iconic titles like Starburst and beautifully produced branded games such as Vikings. I was immediately responsible for managing their largest operator account, Betsson, which quickly became the most demanding and formative period of my career.
Over the next four years, the industry went through major change, from increasing regulation to rising competition and major acquisitions. Through this period, I learned how important resilience and adaptability are in a fast-moving industry.
There were significant successes, including delivering the largest percentage revenue increase for Starburst XXXtreme through a global partnership with Betsson. But some of the most valuable lessons came from challenges, such as managing operator relations when a major launch had to be pulled due to technical issues. Those experiences reinforced how critical trust and strong partnerships are in account management.
After Evolution, I joined Wazdan to turn around the Betsson account. I transformed the relationship from a negative invoice position into a tier-one account, with strong growth from regulated markets. One of the most exciting opportunities was leading the exclusive launch in Argentina, unlocking new revenue streams through strategic market entry.
Looking back, one insight stands out: many companies underestimate the long-term value of strong account management and relationships. In an industry built on partnerships, trust and strong networks often become the most powerful drivers of success.
Delfina Crespo - Head of Marketing at Blokotech

I am the Head of Marketing at Blokotech, where I lead brand strategy, communications, and event initiatives for a technology company currently powering more than 45 operators across Latin America. My role combines creative vision, strategic thinking, and strong operational execution. I oversee global campaigns, manage our presence at key industry events such as SBC, SiGMA, and others across LATAM and Europe, coordinate product launches, and design experiences that connect the industry in meaningful ways from traditional activations to initiatives that break the mould, such as the Bloko Padel Tour.
I entered the iGaming industry through design, a discipline that taught me precision, problem-solving, and the ability to transform complex ideas into clear narratives. Over time, that foundation naturally evolved into a career focused on marketing and brand building. Today, I lead a 360° strategy that covers positioning, content, paid media, PR, LATAM-focused campaigns, and experiential events that strengthen relationships with operators, providers, and partners across the region.
Among my key achievements, I highlight building and consolidating Blokotech’s global identity and its sub-brands, structuring the marketing department from the ground up, and contributing to the company’s expansion across Argentina, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Venezuela and others. I am especially proud of creating brand experiences that have earned recognition in the industry from large-scale stands and live events to an international padel circuit that brings the community together in a more human and authentic way.
Throughout my career, I’ve learned that iGaming is a dynamic industry where opportunities open up for those who are willing to take them and where women have so much to contribute. We bring empathetic leadership, multidisciplinary thinking, adaptability, and a unique ability to build brands that truly speak to people.
My advice to other women building their career in iGaming is simple:
Don’t wait to “feel ready.” Raise your hand, ask for space, participate, and make your work visible. Confidence is built through action, and growth happens when we step into roles that once felt out of reach. I also believe deeply in the value of community. Sharing experiences, opening doors, and supporting one another is what strengthens the industry and makes it more diverse, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
My goal is to continue driving projects that unite technology, creativity, and strategy and to help shape an iGaming ecosystem where more women can lead, influence, and leave their mark.

Projects included post-merger integration for major Canadian banks, operational restructuring for a leading North American manufacturing firm, cost reduction in a billion-dollar oil & gas project, and market expansion in Asia unlocking over $20M in growth.
After consulting, Odi decided to move into entrepreneurship and co-founded My Gaming License, an advisory firm focused on helping online casino operators and investors expand internationally. Her work sits at the intersection of regulation, business operations, and international structuring, with a focus on licensing, corporate setup, and banking solutions.
Odi comes from a conservative family in Central Asia and was the first woman in her family to move abroad and live independently. She has lived and worked on three continents — Asia (Uzbekistan), Europe (Latvia), and North America (Canada), visited 30 countries.
Her approach emphasizes embracing challenges, stepping outside comfort zones, and balancing strategic planning with practical action. She believes sustainable success comes from understanding both the regulatory and human sides of business, creating solutions that scale across borders while supporting the people behind them.
Sharon Mchugh - PR Director at Pragmatic Play

As Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, I lead the company’s global communications strategy, overseeing media relations, brand reputation and corporate storytelling.
My role covers both proactive and reactive communications, ensuring the messaging reflects the values of Pragmatic Play and supports commercial activities across different markets. I work closely with teams across compliance, marketing and product to support launches, partnerships and campaigns globally.
It’s a fast-paced environment and no two days are the same, which is exactly what makes it so interesting.
I started my career in betting and gaming with Paddy Power, where I spent more than ten years. I joined the company at 19 years old and left just before my 30th birthday, so in many ways I grew up there professionally.
During that time, I moved from call centre supervisor to trader and eventually into PR, which meant I really learned the industry from the ground up. That experience has been incredibly valuable throughout my career because it gave me a deep understanding of how the business works beyond communications.
One of the real highlights was being part of the original team at Paddy Power that helped shape not only how the brand markets today, but also a broader approach to bookmaker marketing. We worked on some incredibly fun campaigns at the time - some that probably wouldn’t get signed off today - but they played a big role in defining the now-distinct Paddy Power voice and influencing how the industry approached marketing.
After Paddy Power, I moved into different industries, including telecommunications with Three, and broadcast and media with Virgin Media, Sky and AMC Networks in London.
Working across different sectors broadened my perspective enormously. Each industry has its own pace, pressures and audiences, and that variety really shaped the way I approach communications today.
Joining Pragmatic Play was another step change for me, moving from B2C into B2B. It’s coming up to a year now, and I’ve really enjoyed the challenge so far. It’s a dynamic business with huge global reach, and I’m lucky to work with some incredibly talented and inspiring people.
Perspectives
There’s a famous quote (by Benjamin Franklin, I believe), that I used to see on the wall of a boxing club I used to go to years ago: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” It’s a saying that rings true in almost every aspect of life, but especially in PR. Being prepared allows you to make informed decisions and stay ahead of challenges.
Perhaps that’s also why I love chess - it’s all about thinking several moves ahead.
Finally, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is never to underestimate the power of collaboration. It’s part of the reason I ended up in communications. I’ve discovered that finding your “flock” - people and a company who share your work ethic and values - is key to not just professional success, but also day-to-day happiness. Trust and connection with colleagues, partners, and peers are at the heart of everything I do.
Jennifer Innes - CEO of BettingJobs
With nearly two decades in the iGaming industry, I am proud to serve as CEO at BettingJobs, a leading international recruitment provider to the iGaming sector. My role involves overseeing our team of consultants while continuing to drive the growth and development of the business. A large part of what I do centres on maintaining and expanding the strong relationships we have built with both clients and candidates globally. Networking remains at the heart of our success, ensuring we consistently deliver a high-quality service.
When I first joined BettingJobs, I was the company’s first female employee. During my time here, I have had the privilege of seeing the business grow significantly and celebrate many successes. One of our most recent highlights was being named ‘Recruiter of the Year’ at the EGR Awards last year – a fantastic recognition for the team and the work we do across the sector. Personally, I was also honoured to be named the second most influential woman in iGaming in 2025, which was incredibly rewarding given the many inspiring women contributing to the industry today.
In addition to these accolades, some of my proudest achievements have been building and developing our team at BettingJobs, helping colleagues grow their networks, build successful careers and establish themselves within the global iGaming community. My role has also provided incredible opportunities to travel and attend conferences around the world, from Macau and Manila to São Paulo, Las Vegas, the UAE and across Europe.
What continues to fascinate me about the iGaming industry is its constant evolution. The sector is always adapting – whether through emerging technologies, changing regulations or the development of innovative products for customers. This ability to remain flexible, modern and forward-thinking makes careers in this space both rewarding and unique.
Throughout my career, I have always been happy to support professionals exploring new opportunities. Whether it’s offering CV advice, interview tips or sharing insights into companies and markets, I strongly believe in helping people navigate their career journeys. If anyone is looking for guidance or simply wants to learn more about opportunities within the industry, I am always happy to connect.
Katie Storey - Director at Press Box PR

Currently I’m a Director at Press Box PR and I head up the Consumer division which delivers relevant and engaging digital PR campaigns for iGaming brands, particularly within casino and bingo. I oversee the department; everything from our day-to-day activity across clients, to supporting and managing the 12-strong team, with my key responsibilities including actively pitching for new business opportunities and strategically planning and delivering the growth of Consumer to drive and influence agency revenues.
The last five years have definitely looked very different to the start of my career. I started out as a journalist, honing my craft as an entertainment reporter and editor for eight years across a number of mainstream media titles including MailOnline, Metro, OK! Magazine, The Sun and MTV. Experiences that served me well when I first made the switch to PR five years ago, armed with the experience of a newsroom to drive headline-worthy PR campaigns for a variety of household and challenger brands.
Choosing to swap red carpets for the buzz of a good campaign instead, I joined Press Box in 2021 as the first female through the door, with the opportunity to build a Consumer department hot on the heels of the agency’s sporting success.
It was an opportunity to jump ship, move into a new industry and learn a new craft head on, with the move quickly becoming one of my greatest achievements. The division has grown incredibly - now made up of a dozen talented former journalists and PR professionals, regularly producing brilliant ideas and unrivalled media coverage.
As for me, it’s fair to say I’ve grown in confidence, both creatively and commercially, built a business acumen I’m proud of and become more assured in my decisions (and probably fair to say opinions too) as a senior stakeholder.
If I’ve learnt anything from my career to date, I would say it’s to embrace stepping out of your comfort zone, especially in an industry of growth and innovation like iGaming, heavily influenced by trends and competition. We’re at an exciting time where search is changing, consumer habits and needs are constantly evolving and AI is showing no signs of slowing down, forcing brands to reevaluate and adapt. Sometimes it pays to take a risk, so don’t be afraid to do so.
Qianqian Liu - Art Director at Gaming Corps

I’ve loved drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child I dreamed of becoming a manga artist, inspired by the beautiful worlds and characters from Studio Ghibli films. Over time, that passion evolved into a love for animation, seeing characters come to life frame by frame fascinated me and ultimately led me into the games industry.
I began my career as an artist and animator, working on children’s console games featuring beloved IPs like SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer, and even contributing characters to Disneyland Adventures on Kinect. Later, I moved into the iGaming industry, where I worked across multiple disciplines- creating characters, backgrounds, animations, and UI across many different slot games.
That broad experience eventually led me to become an Art Director. Being so versatile helped me understand every part of the art pipeline, and today I find the most satisfaction in seeing our team bring a beautiful game to life together.
This Women’s Day, I encourage more women to join the games industry. It’s a creative, exciting field where you can explore countless themes and styles—and you’re never stuck on the same project for too long. There’s always a new world waiting to be created.
Emma Travis, PR Manager at Gamecheck

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the past five years, it’s that every brand has a story. The real challenge is telling it in a way that people actually remember.
I recently joined Gamecheck, where my main objective is to shape how the company communicates its mission and impact to the wider industry. And believe me, this is a brand that is truly focused on integrity and doing genuinely meaningful and useful work.
I’ve spent more than five years working in PR and communications within the iGaming industry, collaborating with multiple brands to build their presence, credibility, and voice in a highly competitive environment. My work has always sat at the intersection of storytelling and strategy—helping companies translate what they do into narratives that resonate with people.
Over the years, I’ve been involved in many different aspects of the PR landscape: pitching stories to journalists, supporting brands at industry events, shaping partnerships, and working behind the scenes to position companies in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
Launched in October 2024, Gamecheck has quickly become one of the fastest-growing integrity initiatives in the industry. In just a year, the company has verified more than 55,000 online casinos globally, identified and exposed over 4,700 fake or manipulated games, and influenced more than 350 operators to switch to legitimate content. The platform now supports more than 131,000 users and has reached around 20 million people through global integrity awareness campaigns.
What drew me to Gamecheck is its mission. The company is focused on making the industry safer and more transparent for players by turning fair play into something that can be verified in real time.
Instead of asking players to simply trust that a game is legitimate, Gamecheck gives them the tools to check it themselves. Players can verify games before they deposit or play, operators can clearly demonstrate that they offer legitimate content, and game providers benefit from having their licensed titles protected from misuse.
From a PR perspective, it’s incredibly rewarding to represent a company that is not only innovative but also genuinely improving the integrity of the ecosystem. It’s the kind of story that deserves to be told—and one I’m very proud to help share.
For women entering iGaming, my advice is simple: don’t underestimate the value of your perspective. This industry thrives on innovation, new ideas, and strong voices. Ask questions, build relationships, and don’t be afraid to speak up in rooms that might feel intimidating at first.
Also, find something within the industry that genuinely excites you, because passion is what makes the work truly worthwhile.
And if you enjoy storytelling as much as I do, you’ll quickly discover that iGaming never runs out of stories to tell.
Charlotte Kamlin, Founder of Kamlin Careers

I am Charlotte Kamlin, the Founder of Kamlin Careers. The iGaming world is the wild, wild west of industries — where you can, just like I did, get sent off to Las Vegas with a credit card and a “good luck” as your first iGaming experience, before you barely even knew the difference between an SEO and a CEO.
Now, it has thankfully been close to a decade since that bumpy start. Back then, I was the new Sales Manager in Malta, in a brand-new industry for me, with an incredible boss who believed more in me when he hired me for his localisation company than I did myself. That belief is probably the exact kind of trust and confidence I continue to bring into my work to this day.
Today, Kamlin Careers is proudly a trusted recruitment partner to more than 40 iGaming clients across Europe and has successfully secured more than 300 hires throughout the years. I am incredibly grateful to every single client and candidate who has trusted me with their recruitment journey — because it truly is a journey.
Almost 10 years later, I can promise you I still remember every single one of those signed agreements. I remember all the screenings, interviews, negotiations, and late-night headhunting sessions that laid the foundation for the results I’ve achieved so far.
I also remember the feeling of signing my very first office space for my own team of iGaming and IT recruiters at SoHo The Strand — after finally returning to Malta from an insane and never-ending Covid isolation in Norway. Remember those days? That was also when many of us truly learned the importance of remote and hybrid work solutions.
As we all know, the iGaming world is loud. It’s male-dominated, fast-paced, and constantly evolving. And you quickly learn who genuinely wants good things for you.
I often think back to the extremely scary step of starting Kamlin Careers. Completely alone, with no investors or loans. Just my own beliefs, goals, and passion for what I do.
Back then, I carefully trusted one of my closest HR partners with my thoughts — and she supported me from the very second I told her. It meant the world to me, and I believe it is proof of how important it is to trust your gut and go for what you believe is right.
As Madeleine Albright once said:
“There is a special place in hell for women who don’t support each other.”
Kirsten Munn - Fractional CFO at Jurnii

Growing up, I had two ambitions: to learn languages and to build an international career. I studied Japanese and Management at university, which led me to start my career in Tokyo, working in tax at EY. From there I spent six years in Los Angeles, qualifying as a US accountant and working in audit at Deloitte with a range of international businesses. I moved back to the UK eight years ago, but the international thread has never left - it runs through everything I do.
I'm now the Fractional CFO at Jurnii, an innovative company that automates customer experience research, giving businesses the benchmarking data and actionable insights they need to make smarter decisions. It's a fast-moving, ambitious company - exactly the kind of environment I thrive in. I manage all financial reporting and forecasting, making sure the business can report accurately to its investors and manage its cash effectively as it scales. But beyond the numbers, my job is really about setting the business up to grow sustainably and confidently.
Running my own consulting practice - and working with founders building something - is what I've always dreamed of. The iGaming world is a natural fit: it's global, fast-paced and constantly evolving, which mirrors my own career in many ways.
On that note, I've never thought of my career as a ladder. Ladders only go in one direction, and they assume everyone is climbing towards the same thing. I think of mine more like a set of plant pots. Whenever I've felt like I've outgrown my current role, I've actively sought new ways to stretch myself - sometimes within the same company, and sometimes by stepping into something bigger and more unfamiliar. Like a plant being moved to a larger pot, it can feel daunting at first. There's a lot of space, and you're not quite sure you'll fill it. But I've found that's where growth happens.
The best part of running my own business is knowing I'll never outgrow the pot, because I'm the one choosing its size.
My advice to anyone at a crossroads: you're in charge of your own destiny. If you're feeling unsatisfied, don't wait for someone to hand you the next opportunity. Find the bigger pot and plant yourself in it.
Kseni Viatkina - CMO

I am a marketing leader with over five years of experience as a CMO across several iGaming companies, specializing in B2B strategy and high-impact partnerships with online casino operators. I build marketing systems that go beyond visibility and directly drive business growth. My focus is on scaling brands, unlocking new markets, and turning marketing into a core revenue engine.
I am also a conference speaker and actively developing my personal brand as a marketing expert in iGaming. I have been nominated for prestigious industry awards, including the Women in Gaming Diversity Awards and iGaming Idol, which reflect recognition from industry experts for my contribution to the market. In addition, I am the author of more than 10 interviews published in leading international iGaming media, where I share insights on trends, case studies, and new approaches to brand development.
Throughout my career, I have worked with multiple game providers, leading marketing initiatives across highly competitive regions such as CIS and Europe. These markets require not only strong execution but also sharp positioning and a deep understanding of both operators and player behavior. One of my key achievements was launching an affiliate program in the CIS market from scratch — building the structure, establishing strategic partnerships, and creating a scalable acquisition channel that consistently delivered both traffic and revenue.
I also contributed to the development of marketing strategy for 1xBet in Latin America, focusing on market entry, localization, and adapting product positioning to regional player behavior. This experience strengthened my ability to combine data-driven insights with cultural understanding and bold execution — a critical factor for successful international expansion.
By aligning strategy with performance, I achieved a 40% increase in inbound operator demand within six months. This result was driven by improving brand visibility, refining communication, and strengthening positioning in a highly competitive landscape. My approach is always focused on building marketing systems that not only scale but also improve efficiency over time.
I have extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and working closely with product, design, development, and analytics departments. I have collaborated with more than 30 casino operators and platforms, ensuring successful integrations and impactful promotional campaigns. I also actively represent brands at major industry events such as SiGMA, ICE, and SBC, using them as platforms for both visibility and strategic business development.
I believe the future of iGaming belongs to those who move fast, build strong partnerships, and stay deeply involved in the industry. Growth today is not just about traffic — it’s about building ecosystems where marketing, product, and partnerships work as one.
I also strongly believe in women power — not as a trend, but as a real force shaping the future of the industry. I encourage more women to step into iGaming, build visibility, support each other, and take leadership roles. Strong female communities don’t just create opportunities — they change the game.

In addition, I am actively involved in the Polish Bar Association. In April 2025, I was elected as a judge of the Disciplinary Court of the Bar Association in Bia?ystok.
Marcela Campos - Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Esportes da Sorte Group

My name is Marcela Campos, and I currently serve as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Esportes da Sorte Group. I am responsible for overseeing the company's financial strategy and providing support to broader operational and strategic decisions across the organisation.
I work closely with leadership teams to ensure sustainable growth, responsible governance and strong financial management in a fast-moving industry. In addition, I play a pivotal role in shaping the company's organisational culture. I’m committed to creating an environment where individuals feel respected, heard and motivated to grow. Today, I have the privilege of contributing to the development of a team of more than 600 professionals.
The iGaming sector is characterised by dynamism, innovation and constant evolution, making it an attractive environment for career development. In recent years, I have played a key role in expanding our group's presence in Brazil through strategic partnerships in sports, entertainment and digital platforms. One of the most rewarding aspects of my professional journey has been the opportunity to witness the company's growth while maintaining a strong sense of purpose.
My professional experience in a male-dominated sector has also influenced my leadership approach. There have been occasions in my professional life when I was the only woman in the meeting, and these experiences have reinforced my conviction that effective representation is of paramount importance. Leadership entails more than merely delivering results; it also involves creating opportunities for others.
I firmly believe that talent is not defined by gender and that companies make better decisions when they include a variety of voices in leadership and strategy.
Outside of work, I am also a mother of two boys. This role serves as a constant reminder of the importance of fostering a more balanced and inclusive environment. The values we instil today will shape the next generation of leaders and citizens.
To women in this industry who are building their careers, I would like to offer a few words of advice. Firstly, you should trust your voice. Secondly, you should stay confident in your chosen path. Finally, you should never underestimate the value of your perspective. Diversity in leadership is not only fair, it is also an essential component of a robust and thriving industry.
Tereza Melicharkova – Head of Marketing at Elantil

I am a marketing leader in the iGaming industry with over a decade of experience helping B2B technology companies build strong brands, launch products, and communicate complex solutions in a clear and compelling way for operators and partners across the global market.
Currently, I work as Head of Marketing at Elantil, where I lead the company’s global marketing strategy and communications. My role covers brand positioning, product marketing, PR, events, and industry partnerships. A large part of my work focuses on shaping the narrative of the company, translating technology into clear value propositions that help operators understand how platforms and solutions can support their growth. I work closely with product, commercial, and leadership teams to ensure that marketing is not just a support function but a strategic voice within the organisation.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with several leading B2B suppliers in the industry, including NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, Relax Gaming and Swintt. Some of my proudest achievements include leading global product launches, building marketing functions from the ground up, and helping companies position themselves as category leaders in a very competitive market.
Beyond campaigns and launches, what motivates me most is the people behind the industry. iGaming is fast-paced, ambitious, and exciting, but it can also be demanding. Recently, after experiencing a personal loss, I was reminded how important it is to speak more openly about mental health and work-life balance.
My advice to others in our industry is simple: success should never come at the cost of your health. Ambition and compassion can exist together. As leaders, we have a responsibility to build workplaces where people feel supported not only professionally but also personally. When employees feel safe and supported, they are more productive, more engaged, and far more likely to remain loyal to the organisations they work for.

Olivia Wildey, Gaming Operations Manager at Entain

I’m the Senior Operations Manager for Gaming at Entain, where I help keep the operational engine running across our global Product and Technology teams. My role sits at the intersection of people, communication and execution. On any given day I might be coordinating large global initiatives, supporting senior leaders, or making sure teams across different locations stay connected and aligned.
I’ve spent most of my career in the betting and gaming industry and have been lucky to be mentored by some incredible female leaders along the way. Their support has really shaped how I approach my own work. Because of that, building strong relationships and creating a safe, supportive environment for the people I work with is something that’s really important to me.
One of the things I enjoy most about my role is bringing structure and clarity to what can sometimes be a fast-moving and complex environment. Our Gaming organisation spans hundreds of colleagues across multiple offices around the world, so finding simple, reliable ways for people to collaborate and stay informed makes a big difference. Whether it’s running our monthly Gaming Town Halls, coordinating global communications or supporting leadership reporting, my focus is always on helping teams stay connected and able to do their best work.
A couple of highlights from the past year were helping deliver two major global initiatives. The first was our Annual Gaming Conference in Hyderabad, which brought together more than 500 colleagues from across Product and Technology. The second was our Global AI Hackathon, where over 1,000 colleagues across 12 offices collaborated on new ideas and solutions. Seeing that level of creativity, energy and teamwork across the organisation was incredibly rewarding.
I’m also passionate about recognising and developing talent. This led to the creation of the Game Changers Programme, which identifies high-potential individuals across our teams and gives them opportunities to develop while contributing to strategic initiatives. Supporting the next generation of leaders in our industry is something I really care about.
Like most people in iGaming know, this is an industry that never stands still. Things move quickly, priorities shift and new challenges appear all the time. The key is staying adaptable, supporting each other and focusing on solutions.
My advice to anyone building a career in this space is simple, never underestimate the value of relationships. The people you work with shape your experience just as much as the work itself. And if you see an opportunity to improve something, go for it, some of the best ideas start with someone simply deciding to give it a try.
Sona Tunyan - Sales Team Lead at 18Peaches

A few years ago, if someone had asked me where my career was heading, I would have confidently said diplomacy. I was living in China, completing my Master’s and then PhD, and preparing for a future in international relations. The iGaming industry was not part of that plan at all.
Then COVID happened, and like for many people, life took an unexpected turn. I decided to return to Armenia temporarily and wait until things became more stable. During that time, I began working with a Chinese company that was a partner of BetConstruct. Because I speak several languages, including Chinese, I quickly became closely involved in the collaboration between the two companies.
What began as a temporary collaboration soon turned into something much bigger. BetConstruct invited me to join the company and work on expanding partnerships in the Asian market. That moment opened the door to the world of iGaming for me.
What immediately stood out was the pace of the industry. Things move quickly, decisions are made fast, and partnerships can grow into real business in a surprisingly short time. I realised that I loved the challenge, the negotiations, and the energy that comes with building international partnerships.
Over time, I had the opportunity to work with companies from many regions and build relationships across the global iGaming ecosystem. One of the most rewarding parts of my journey has been seeing partners trust me to develop and grow those collaborations.
A major milestone for me was being invited to join 18Peaches as Sales Team Lead. For me, it was not only a new role but also recognition of the experience and relationships I had built within the industry.
As a woman working in a commercial leadership role, I have found that being a woman has never been an obstacle. In many situations it has even been an advantage, allowing me to approach negotiations with flexibility, empathy, and strong communication.
Looking back, my path into iGaming was completely unexpected. But it has turned into a dynamic, challenging, and incredibly rewarding journey.
Tove Nilsson - Cubeia - Global Marketing & Event Coordinator

Moving from the fashion industry into iGaming felt like stepping into a completely different world - louder, faster, and surprisingly creative. Today, I work as Global Marketing & Event Coordinator at Cubeia from our Stockholm office, where I’ve spent the past 1.5 years helping shape our global presence at industry events.
A core part of my role is leading Cubeia’s participation at exhibitions like ICE Barcelona, SiGMA São Paulo, and SBC Summit Lisbon. I develop creative briefs, coordinate with contractors, and ensure every detail - from merch, folders and flyers to messaging, beverages, and overall flow - comes together seamlessly. I often describe myself as the “spider in the web,” making sure everything aligns before, during, and after each event.
Collaboration is key. I work closely with our Head of Sales, Caroline Björkman, who regularly brings brilliant ideas to the table. I also collaborate closely with our Head of Marketing, Paul Crisp, whose deep expertise in the industry elevates every concept we develop. A standout moment was the video we created together for our VIP poker tournament at ICE 2026, featuring two iconic football players - a perfect example of blending sales insights, marketing expertise, and creative thinking to engage partners and visitors alike.
My first exhibition, SiGMA Malta, was overwhelming in the best way. Observing how other companies presented themselves gave me inspiration for Cubeia’s stand concepts. For ICE 2025, I wanted our space to stand out from the usual noisy halls - a calm, lounge-style environment reflecting our philosophy of quality over quantity. We work with select partners and provide premium, tailored solutions, and our stand should make visitors feel that same VIP experience.
One of my favorite projects was designing a raffle to engage visitors. As a proud 80s gamer nerd, I suggested large LEGO sets inspired by Back to the Future, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Zelda. The buzz it generated was amazing - people stopped, talked, and connected - proving that creativity and authenticity can make a real impact.
As a woman in iGaming, I’ve learned the value of bringing diverse perspectives into the industry. Valentina Bagniya has been a big inspiration. She brought her B2C marketing mindset into her role at SOFTSWISS, showing how fresh perspectives can strengthen storytelling and client experiences in B2B environments like ours.
My advice to women entering iGaming is simple: trust your perspective, share your ideas boldly, and embrace creativity.
“The best ideas come from bringing your own personality into the room - and the iGaming industry becomes stronger every time more women do exactly that.”
Christina Savvouri - Business Development Manager at GLI (Gaming Laboratories International)

Like many in the gaming industry, I didn’t follow a conventional path into iGaming. What drew me in; and keeps me here, is the energy of the sector, the constant innovation, and the amazing people I get to work with every day.
I currently work as a Business Development Manager at GLI (Gaming Laboratories International), one of the world’s leading independent testing laboratories for the gaming industry. My role is all about building relationships, understanding the challenges my clients face, and supporting them through the complex compliance and certification requirements across an ever-growing number of regulated jurisdictions. By helping my clients bring their products and platforms to market efficiently and compliantly, I get to see the direct impact of my work which is of course incredibly rewarding.
As we all know, our industry is very social, and a big part of my work involves attending international events where I meet clients face-to-face and learn first-hand about their roadmaps and upcoming needs. Trust and collaboration are the foundation of long-term success in this sector.
One of the highlights of working in iGaming is seeing the incredible, talented, and inspiring women in our ecosystem. I’ve worked in several industries, including finance and hospitality, but this is definitely where I’ve met the most supportive and collaborative women, many who have been incredible pioneers and instrumental in driving positive change. Seeing other women succeed, lead, and build careers sends a powerful message: there is space for you here. While there’s still work to do, the progress being made is truly commendable.
My advice to women entering the industry is simple: be curious, ask questions, take your seat at the table, and don’t underestimate the value of building strong relationships. Reach out to mentors and peers who are willing to share their experiences and use their voices ; those connections matter. When women support, mentor, and celebrate each other, it strengthens the entire industry.
The gaming sector is evolving quickly, and my hope is that diversity of thought and experience will shape its future. I am proud to be part of a community where more and more women are stepping forward, supporting one another, and helping define the next chapter of iGaming.
Olga Hlukhovskaya - Business Development Director at 1spin4win

My name is Olga Hlukhovskaya, and I currently serve as Business Development Director at 1spin4win, a provider of classic online slots that stand out with transparent mechanics, advanced mathematics, and strong player engagement.
In my role, I lead the company’s global commercial strategy, focusing on sustainable growth, long-term partnerships, and international market expansion. I oversee the Business Account Management, Technical Account Management, and Sales teams, working closely with our product, marketing, and technology departments to ensure our commercial vision translates into measurable business results.
One of the most significant milestones for our team in 2025 was the expansion of our global client network. 1spin4win reached 1,000 partnerships worldwide, onboarding 500 new brands in a single year. This growth strengthened our relationships with leading operators and aggregators, reinforcing our position as a reliable content provider in the iGaming industry.
At the same time, we continued to expand internationally. While Europe remains our core market, we significantly strengthened our presence in Latin America and continued building our footprint in emerging African markets.
Beyond my operational responsibilities, I actively engage with the broader iGaming community by sharing insights with the industry. I believe that open professional dialogue is essential for driving innovation and growth across the industry.
For me, success in iGaming is about building strong teams, long-term partnerships, and sustainable strategies that create value for both players and operators.
My advice to women considering a career in iGaming is simple: stay curious, trust your expertise, and never hesitate to take on new challenges. This industry moves quickly, and those who are willing to learn and grow will always find opportunities.
Mette Hillebo - Team Lead & Customer Success Manager at Symplify

I currently work as a Team Lead & Customer Success Manager at Symplify, focusing on ensuring our clients see continuous progress and feel confident reaching out whenever questions or challenges arise. What motivates me most is building strong client relationships and helping them achieve success while navigating our platform. It’s incredibly rewarding to see clients grow with us, leveraging the tools and features we provide to create real business impact.
My path into iGaming was not linear, but it has been full of valuable experiences. I started my career in advertising, gaining creative and strategic insights, before moving into roles with a different focus, including managing loyalty programmes at YouSee. These experiences taught me the importance of understanding customers’ journeys, identifying opportunities, and translating them into actionable strategies. Today, I primarily work with iGaming clients globally, supporting high-growth companies to unlock their potential and maximise engagement with their players.
Working with international clients has shaped my approach to collaboration. As a Danish professional, I value openness and honesty, and I believe strong partnerships build when clients feel comfortable sharing both expectations and challenges. Reaching this level of trust allows us to find better solutions together and ensures the dialogue remains positive and constructive, even in challenging situations.
The iGaming industry moves incredibly fast, so companies must constantly stay ahead of the competition. Supporting this pace at Symplify means our platform evolves continuously to meet our clients’ needs. Part of my role is creating an environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their expectations and ideas. Often, this involves working closely with our Solution Architects to find creative solutions that provide flexibility and help clients fully leverage the platform.
I approach my work with a strong solution-oriented mindset. Whether addressing complex customer cases or supporting my team internally, my focus is on ensuring everyone has the tools, knowledge, and confidence to succeed independently. For clients, it’s about delivering real value; for my team, it’s about empowering them to tackle challenges effectively.
I am proud to work in a sector where responsible, personalised player engagement is increasingly valued. As a woman in a traditionally male industry, I appreciate the opportunities to contribute meaningfully and to mentor others. I have been fortunate to see more attention given to diversity, and I believe that fostering equitable opportunities for women in leadership is key to the future of iGaming.
What continues to excite me about my career is that no two client journeys are ever the same. Each challenge brings new opportunities to learn, improve, and create impact together. I look forward to continuing to support our clients’ growth, developing our team, and exploring innovative solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible in the iGaming space.
Kelly Thomson - Lead Dev Ops Engineer at RavenTrack

It’s exciting to be able to share the journey I’ve taken to reach my current position as the Lead DevOps Engineer here at affiliate tracking PaaS RavenTrack. My main responsibilities are to ensure that my team ‘keeps the engine going’, including implementing improvements for our clients.
Additionally, I help ensure high technical standards are maintained and risks are appropriately communicated to the wider engineering team and to the business.
My career has taken quite a few twists and turns, and the younger me would be surprised that I am in a job so heavily involved in IT since I didn’t study computing at high school!
I got into coding at University while studying my Physics Masters course – and at the time I thought I wanted to go into Computational Chemistry. However, during my postgraduate research I realised that I enjoy coding to solve problems, whatever shape they take. This led me to my first job as a Graduate Software Engineer in my late twenties.
Learning on the job has been essential throughout my career but especially during this time where I had to pick unfamiliar languages and processes. Within the next couple of years I stepped up where there were gaps in projects, such as leading on cross-team communication and implementing processes that brought about major improvements on the team’s ways of working.
I rose to become a Technical Lead on small projects and now I have the pleasure to lead the entire DevOps team at RavenTrack just a couple of years later.
The best advice I can give to women who want to get into iGaming or tech is: there is no wrong path on your journey. Do what excites you at that time, give it your all. If there’s a gap to fill, fill it! This approach has led me on a fantastic career journey and I’d recommend it thoroughly!
Siphindile Msani - Customer Success Manager at Kiron Interactive

Siphindile Msani is a Customer Success Manager at Kiron Interactive, where she works closely with operators across Africa to ensure they get the most value from virtual sports and numbers products. Her role focuses on strengthening partnerships, supporting successful integrations, and helping clients deliver reliable digital entertainment experiences to their audiences. By working closely with both operators and internal teams, she helps ensure that products perform effectively in diverse markets while meeting the evolving expectations of today’s digital first players.
Her career in the industry has developed through hands on experience across several areas of the betting ecosystem. Before joining Kiron Interactive, she held roles at companies including Hollywoodbets and 10bet, where she progressed from customer service leadership into account and VIP management. These roles provided a strong foundation in player behaviour, operational processes, and relationship management. That early exposure continues to shape her approach to customer success today, where the focus is on building trust with partners and finding practical solutions that support long term performance.
A standout moment in her career came in 2025 when she was recognised as the Women in Gaming Africa Rising Star. The award reflected both her growing influence in the industry and her commitment to delivering meaningful results for partners across the African market. It also highlighted the increasing presence of women helping to shape the future of the region’s gaming sector.
Working across African markets brings both complexity and opportunity. Regulatory environments, player preferences, and operational realities can vary widely from one region to the next. Msani’s work centres on helping partners navigate these differences while ensuring that products remain accessible, reliable, and engaging for local audiences.
Her perspective on success in the industry is grounded in relationships. Technology and product innovation play an important role, but long term partnerships are built on trust, transparency, and consistent communication. By focusing on collaboration and understanding each partner’s unique market environment, she helps create solutions that work not only in theory but in practice.
As the African online gaming sector continues to grow, Msani remains focused on supporting partners and contributing to an industry that prioritises quality entertainment, responsible growth, and strong professional relationships.

Yohanna Isis Claustre - Growth & Product Advisor

Sometimes I look back at how I was working two years ago and think: everything feels obsolete now. About a year ago I began integrating AI deeply into the way I build and work, and it completely changed my approach to products.
My background in iGaming started around five years ago, after several years working in B2C environments, particularly in e-commerce and digital marketing. That foundation shaped how I think today. I tend to approach everything from the user side first, focusing on interfaces, behavior and how people actually interact with products.
In iGaming, I focused on affiliate marketing, working closely with operators and partners. It gave me a clear understanding of how the ecosystem works and how acquisition really scales. Over time, I became more interested in what sits behind that growth, especially as the creator economy started to reshape the industry. Content creators evolved from being traffic sources into full distribution channels with their own audiences and communities.
That shift led me to build Betlifter, where I focused on developing tools and systems for the creator economy within iGaming. Once I started working seriously with AI, I began creating platforms such as creator management systems, CRM structures and operational tools designed to manage performance and partnerships in a more flexible way. There was a clear moment when I realized I could finally execute ideas that previously would have taken months and required complex processes.
Today, flexibility is at the core of how I build. Products need to evolve as fast as the market does. Systems originally designed for sports or casino can now expand toward areas like prediction markets. At the same time, I am working more closely on compliance and KYC technologies, which are becoming increasingly important as the industry evolves.
After several months building independently, I decided to reconnect with Better Collective, one of the most established players in the space, where I had previously been part of the team. Today, I act as an advisor, helping drive and implement new product initiatives.
More broadly, I believe AI is reshaping how marketing and product roles function. My work today sits somewhere in between, focused on building and scaling products for the creator economy in a way that is faster, more flexible and closer to how the industry is actually evolving.
Anna Shahumyan - Business Development at Tom Horn Gaming

My name is Anna Shahumyan, and I work in Business Development at Tom Horn Gaming. With over 10 years of experience in the iGaming industry, I have built my career around developing strategic partnerships and driving international growth.
At Tom Horn Gaming, I focus on expanding our global presence by building strong, long-term relationships with our partners across multiple markets. My role includes negotiating commercial agreements, supporting new market entries, and working closely with legal, product, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth launches and sustainable performance. For me, business development is not just about signing contracts. It is about creating partnerships that deliver real value and continue to grow over time.
Over the past decade, I have seen how quickly the industry evolves. Success requires adaptability, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills. I take pride in understanding both the commercial objectives and the operational details behind each deal, helping turn opportunities into measurable results.
Being a woman in a traditionally male-dominated industry has shaped my professional journey. It has strengthened my resilience, confidence, and leadership style. I believe women bring strong emotional intelligence, clarity, and relationship-building skills to business, which are essential in long-term partnership management.
My advice to women entering iGaming is simple: know your value, invest in your expertise, and stay confident in your voice. The industry is growing rapidly, and there is space for women not only to participate but to lead.
I am proud to be part of Tom Horn Gaming and to contribute to shaping partnerships that support the future of global iGaming.
Gabriela Zorek - Game Designer at Stakelogic

I am currently working as a Game Designer at Stakelogic, I spend most of my time coming up with ideas for new slot games and helping turn those ideas into something players can actually experience. That usually starts with a concept or mechanic, which I then build out into a full game design document that the rest of the team can work from. It’s a very collaborative process. I work closely with the art, animation, maths, development and audio teams to make sure everything fits together. Throughout development I’m also reviewing the game, giving feedback and tweaking things, so that by the time it launches it feels polished, engaging and fun to play.
For anyone thinking about getting into the iGaming industry, my advice would be to stay open to learning new things and trying different challenges. Don’t be afraid to take opportunities that push you out of your comfort zone because sometimes that’s where you learn the most.Back at school, I chose to study computer science, it was introduced as a new subject and it immediately caught my interest. At the time, I didn’t realise it was such a male-dominated field, I just thought it sounded really fun, especially because I’d always enjoyed playing games. But then for a long time, I was the only girl in my game design, computing classes at university and in the early stages of my career, which could feel a bit intimidating at times. Walking into a room where you’re the only woman can make you feel like you stand out more than you’d like, especially when you’re still building your confidence in what you do. At times it felt like there was a bit of extra pressure to prove that I belonged there just as much as everyone else. But over time, that experience actually helped me grow a lot. It pushed me to become more confident in sharing my ideas and speaking up, even when I wasn’t completely sure of myself. I also learned how important it is to ask questions, collaborate with others, and keep learning from the people around you.
Looking back on my career so far, one of the most rewarding moments is seeing the games that I’ve helped design, launch and perform well across different markets. Watching a concept grow from an early idea into a live game that players around the world can enjoy, is always exciting and really satisfying.
In my current role, I get to work with so many amazing women who bring great ideas, creativity, and support to the team. I am very grateful to be a part of it.
Gemma Strath - Head of Marketing at The Football Pools

I’m Head of Marketing at The Football Pools, where I lead the brand, customer engagement, and marketing strategy for one of the most recognisable names in British betting and football culture.
The Football Pools is a brand with more than 100 years of history, so my role is about bringing that heritage into the modern era. We’re evolving the brand, improving our digital experience, and introducing The Pools to a new generation of players, while still respecting the traditions that long-standing customers love.
A big part of my work focuses on brand transformation. In many ways, we’re rebuilding a historic brand as what I often describe as a “100-year-old start-up.” That means modern marketing campaigns, new product thinking, stronger digital journeys and making sure the brand stays relevant in a fast-moving entertainment and gaming industry.
Before joining The Pools, I spent over 15 years at Betfred where I worked across a range of senior marketing roles. It was a great place to learn the industry, and I was lucky to lead on major national campaigns and high-profile sports partnerships. Since then, I’ve also worked on brand and marketing projects across different sectors, including retail and tech platforms, which gave me a broader perspective on how brands grow and connect with people.
Big Betty, Big Betty Partners

Big Betty — a Top Affiliate Marketer. Today, this feature takes an unconventional turn — the interview is presented by Big Betty herself. Thousands of partners know my name, but not everyone realizes how much work happens behind the scenes. From the very beginning to this day, her smile, boldness, and unique offers help our team deliver the best deals to partners, creating real value for everyone in the affiliate network.
I entered the market in 2021, showing partners that I understand exactly what the industry needs. With clear proposals, strategic meetings with partners and my team at leading industry conferences, and steady growth of both our team and partner network, I quickly built a strong presence in the affiliate market. In 2025, I was honored with the prestigious Best Newcomer award at iGB L!VE. 2026 promises to be just as dynamic — the market is already buzzing. Amidst the noise, Big Betty will continue to make its mark.
First piece of advice: Don’t chase every trend — focus on individuality and build personal relationships in business.
Second: Meet your partners in person and attend industry conferences. Face-to-face conversations give you a deeper understanding of the market and open new opportunities.
Third: Think big and bring new ideas to the table, and surround yourself with the right people. Keep moving forward — and yes, my team and I have just launched something big for our partners. Don’t miss your chance!
Fourth: Remember — the best deals are always personal!
Reach out to my team to discuss the best offers for top-performing partners.
Alexa Bond - Head of Affiliates at N1 Partners

My journey in affiliate marketing began almost five years ago when I joined N1 Partners. Today I lead the affiliate direction as Head of Affiliates, but my career here started from a very hands-on position in lead generation. Soon after, I moved into Affiliate Management, working closely with SEO partners. Over time I took on more responsibility, became a team lead, and eventually stepped into my current role.
Looking back, that early period was intense and incredibly formative. The pace was fast, the workload was significant, and the learning curve was steep. I had to constantly adapt to new industry trends while developing strong communication with both partners and the internal team. Affiliate marketing in iGaming evolves quickly, and success depends on how well you can keep up with that momentum.
If I could give advice to myself at the very beginning of this journey, it would be simple: do not be afraid to take on more responsibility and start thinking strategically earlier. It is easy to become focused on day-to-day operational tasks, but real growth comes from understanding how the entire system works. Finance, product, technical processes, analytics, communication with partners, all of these elements are interconnected. The sooner you start seeing the bigger picture, the faster you develop as a professional. I would also remind myself not to worry too much about challenges. In the iGaming industry, constant change is not a problem. It is an opportunity for equally fast growth.
One of the most challenging moments in my career was a complete rebuild of our affiliate team at N1 Partners. It was not just about filling open positions. The real task was finding the right people, individuals who shared our values, our energy, and our ambition. That process required an enormous amount of time and effort. Recruitment, onboarding, building trust, shaping the internal culture. Letting go of the old structure and investing in new talent was not easy.
Today I can confidently say it was the right strategic decision. We have built a strong, motivated, and highly professional team, and the results we achieve together prove it. My team is my biggest professional pride.
At the same time, working in this industry can be demanding, so maintaining balance is essential. For me, it comes down to simple routines that help restore energy. During the week I spend time with friends and stay consistent with sports, which helps me reset and shift focus. I also try to do something new at least once a week, whether it is a new hobby or activity. Stepping outside the usual routine is surprisingly powerful. It relaxes, inspires, and helps me maintain the energy needed to lead in such a dynamic industry.
Kateryna Pozdnysheva - CCO at GR8 Tech

I’m Chief Client Officer and Head of CRM Business at GR8 Tech, where I lead global B2B client operations and the company’s CRM unit. My job is to make sure clients get the support they need, problems are solved before they get bigger, and teams build systems that can grow without constant crises.
Over the course of my career, I have helped operators switch platforms without losing clients, supported investors with strong ambition but limited operational infrastructure, and helped launch business units built to perform under pressure. I have also helped shape CRM into a stronger growth driver by connecting client support more closely to commercial performance and long-term value. I believe client success is never about appearances. It comes from doing the work well, staying close to the problem, and delivering consistently, especially when the situation is complex.
I’m practical, thoughtful and deeply client-focused in the way I work. My approach is grounded in data, but also shaped by experience, judgment and listening. If something can be tested, I test it—whether that means features, assumptions, workflows or client feedback.
The best partnerships are built on trust, transparency, and shared ownership. Technology and expertise matter, but people matter just as much: the teams behind the product, the quality of communication, and the willingness to solve problems together. My advice is to learn how the business really works, stay curious beyond your role, and never underestimate the value of clear, human communication. Sustainable growth happens when people feel supported, informed and invested in building something together.
Lusine Khudaverdyan - Head of Casino at GR8 Tech

During more than a decade in iGaming, I’ve had the opportunity to work across different markets and teams, and if there’s one thing this industry teaches you quickly, it’s that change is constant. Technologies evolve, regulations shift, and player behavior continues to surprise even the most experienced operators.
That constant evolution is also what makes iGaming such an engaging industry to build a career in. It rewards curiosity, adaptability, and people who enjoy solving complex problems together.
Today, as the Head of Casino Business at GR8 Tech, my focus is on the growth and strategy of the casino vertical, from expanding our aggregation portfolio to shaping scalable products that help operators turn their ambitious ideas into sustainable businesses. What I enjoy most about the role is working at the intersection of product, technology, and commercial strategy.
When talking about lessons and achievements, one lesson I’ve definitely learned over the years is that leadership is less about having the right answers and more about developing the ability to see patterns others might miss. In a fast-moving industry like iGaming, decisions rarely come with perfect information. What matters is the ability to connect product, commercial strategy, and player behavior into one coherent picture.
For women entering the industry, my perspective is to lean into that broader view early. Curiosity and strategic thinking go a long way. When you understand the bigger picture, your voice naturally becomes part of the conversation because what you say helps move things forward.
Yaroslava Romaniv - Head of Marketing & PR at GR8 Tech

I am Head of Marketing & PR at GR8 Tech, leading strategy, overseeing brand management, and driving lead generation. I stepped into this role in January 2025 after working as Head of Marketing Communications from April 2023.
At GR8 Tech, I have been part of shaping the company’s presence through campaigns, partnerships, and storytelling that connect the brand with performance. That has included work around the Bet It Drives Show podcast and brand-building partnerships, such as the company’s collaboration with Oleksandr Usyk’s Ready to Fight. GR8 Tech’s marketing work has also been recognized publicly: the company’s “Trade Wild, Trade Anything” campaign was shortlisted for Best Marketing Campaign at the 2024 SiGMA Eurasia Awards, and in 2025, I was named No. 5 in iGaming Express’s TOP50 Master of iGaming Marketing ranking.
What matters most to me is building marketing that feels alive. I like work that is creative, but also disciplined. Strong ideas need structure. Brand needs consistency. Storytelling has to lead somewhere, whether that’s trust, recognition, or demand. I care a lot about how marketing and PR work together, because the strongest brands are built through a point of view, good timing, and the ability to say something people remember.
No one enters iGaming as an expert on day one; it’s an industry you learn by doing. It moves quickly and rewards curiosity, resilience, and the confidence to challenge established ways of working. For women joining the field, the most important thing is to use your voice confidently and often. In an industry built on odds and strategy, the winning move is making sure more women are at the table.
Nadiia Khodak - Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Spinjoy Games

I came to iGaming from fintech, and I’ll be honest: that’s not the typical path – and it’s exactly what makes my perspective valuable.
For several years before joining Spin Joy Games, I served as CPO at a fintech company where I built and scaled four products simultaneously from zero. These weren't inherited products; they were built from scratch – through discovery, architecture, go-to-market, and growth. I owned not just the roadmaps, but the revenue trajectories, the team structures, and the performance systems that made scaling possible without losing quality. That experience taught me something that’s hard to learn any other way: how to hold complexity across multiple workstreams without dropping the thread on any of them.
The Financial Behavior Loop
What fintech also gave me is a deep, granular understanding of how people behave around money. Payment flows, conversion psychology, risk tolerance, the moments where users drop off and why – this is knowledge that most game-side product leaders simply don’t have. When I think about slot mechanics, volatility curves, or bonus structures, I’m not just thinking about entertainment. I’m thinking about the full financial behavior loop of a real player, because I’ve spent years studying exactly that.
Before joining the provider side, I spent significant time working closely with operators – understanding their world from the inside. I know what drives their content decisions: which games make it into the lobby and which don’t, how they evaluate GGR contribution per title, and what their compliance teams will flag before a game goes live.
I understand the regulatory landscape across jurisdictions – stake limits, RTP requirements, and responsible gambling obligations – not as a checklist, but as a product constraint I design around from day one.
Engineering Efficiency
At Spin Joy Games, I took that dual perspective and put it to work. When I joined, I built our release infrastructure from the ground up: a reskin pipeline, a new game pipeline, and a full RGS release process – all designed around transparency, speed, and quality.
The result was a 1.5x reduction in time-to-market, with improved release quality and stronger team performance, achieved without changing the size of the team. That last part matters to me. Efficiency shouldn't mean burning people out or cutting corners – it means building systems that make good work easier.
Today, we are growing our RNG, entering new markets, and working on meaningful industry partnerships across multiple regions in the world. I oversee technical integrations with operators directly and lead the development of branded games – bespoke titles that serve specific audiences and commercial goals.
What I’m most proud of is the alignment between creative energy and commercial results. We’re early, our GGR is growing fast, and we’re just getting started.
Insights, Advice & Perspectives
In a fast-moving industry, I believe in being direct, honest, and relentlessly focused on improvement. Here is my perspective on building a high-performance culture:
- Competency is the Only True "Star Power": There is a common industry habit of chasing "big names." In my experience, pure, unadulterated competency outshines even the brightest star if they aren't performing. I prioritize a team of doers who value output over optics.
- Audit Your Environment Constantly: I always err on the side of improving and automating my surroundings. If a workflow is clunky, fix it. If a process can be automated, delete the manual step. Productivity is found in the systems you build, not just the hours you log.
- Transparency as a Productivity Tool: Directness isn't about being harsh; it's about being efficient. When you are honest about what is working and what isn’t, you eliminate the "guessing games" that slow down development cycles and drain team energy.
- Design Around the Constraints: Whether it's a technical limitation or a new regulatory requirement, don't fight the constraint – design for it. The most resilient products are those built with a deep understanding of the "rules of the game" from day one.

Maria Emma Arnidou - Event Marketing Director at HIPTHER
I’ve always believed that communication is a superpower – I even made it my marketing label’s tagline. But the truth goes far beyond a slogan.
Communication can be the beginning – or the end – of success in actions, relationships, and goals alike. It is a form of art. This deep belief, combined with years of experience, is what has guided my career choices and professional growth.
Now, 12 years deep into an exciting journey within the iGaming industry, I work as Event Marketing Director at HIPTHER, where I help shape the communications and marketing strategy behind a series of international conferences that bring together the people driving the Gaming and Tech ecosystems forward. My work spans event marketing strategy, public relations, sponsorship communications, content creation, social media and industry engagement.
Alongside this role, I run my own creative marketing communications label, Maria Emma Supercomms, through which I work as an independent consultant helping companies clarify their voice, develop brand and content narratives, and communicate with impact. My work often sits at the intersection of branding, content strategy, social media, PR and storytelling – the places where ideas become conversations and brands become memorable.
Storytelling has been a thread throughout my entire career. Long before iGaming entered the picture, I was fascinated by how words shape perception, build relationships and bring ideas to life. Over time, that curiosity turned into a professional path that has taken me through digital marketing, copywriting, brand communications, and eventually into the events and gaming space.
I’m proud and grateful for many moments in my career:
Building and managing the marketing department during both the B2C and B2B phases of an innovative Fantasy Sports startup was an incredible learning experience! The power of communication also enabled me to enter the world of HR Communications, establishing the company’s HR department, where I worked on People Communications, Employer Branding, and Corporate Communications.
I entered the iGaming events industry through an extraordinary company like HIPTHER, which is respected and connected with a wide range of innovative and established companies across Gaming, Technology, and Compliance. This role has allowed me to meet incredible people, many of whom became clients, partners, and even precious friends.
Founding Maria Emma Supercomms has been pivotal in helping me use my voice and reconnect with my creative identity. It has been deeply rewarding to leverage the experience, courage, and confidence gained from more than 20 years of work in communication.
Working in iGaming as a woman has also reinforced something I deeply believe: diverse perspectives make industries stronger.
My advice to women entering the space is simple: own your voice, don’t be afraid to be heard, stay curious, and never underestimate the power of communication and creativity. Mistakes, wrong choices, and even the wrong people crossing your path are all bound to happen. But in my experience, what we regret most are the thoughts we didn’t express and the steps – and space – we didn’t take.
Alice Suraeva - Senior Affiliate Manager at Senior Affiliate Manager at KNG Partners

I entered the iGaming industry over 10 years ago, working with brands that helped shape the space as we know it today, including Mr Green and Casino Heroes & Casumo to name a few.
From the very beginning, I was drawn to the fast-paced, ever-evolving nature of the industry, but more importantly, to the people behind it.
Today, I am a Senior Affiliate Manager at KNG Partners, where I focus on building and scaling affiliate programs across multiple brands. My role goes far beyond acquisition - I work closely with partners to create long-term, mutually beneficial relationships, ensuring transparency, performance, and sustainable growth on both sides.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed a diverse skill set that ranges from launching new brands and entering competitive markets to organising industry events and representing companies at major conferences.
One of my biggest strengths is understanding both the commercial and human side of partnerships - knowing how to connect, negotiate, and build trust in a highly competitive environment.
What drives me most is helping smaller or emerging brands grow. There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing a brand evolve from early stages into a strong, recognised player in the market - and knowing you were part of that journey.
The iGaming industry can be intense, and as a woman, you often need to prove yourself more than once. My advice to other women entering this space is simple: own your voice, trust your intuition, and don’t be afraid to take up space. Confidence, consistency, and authenticity will always set you apart more than trying to fit into existing molds.
I truly believe that women bring a unique perspective to this industry - combining strategic thinking with emotional intelligence, creativity, and resilience.
The more we support each other and share our stories, the stronger our presence becomes.
For me, this is just the beginning. The industry continues to evolve, and I’m excited to keep growing with it - building meaningful partnerships, launching new ideas, and contributing to a more diverse and dynamic iGaming space.
Karina Ferraioli - Founder & CMO Master Affiliates Network

I am currently the Founder and CMO of Master Affiliates Network, the first collaborative network in the iGaming industry. In my role, I focus on defining the strategic vision of the company, building partnerships with operators and affiliates, and leading the marketing and brand positioning of the network. A big part of my day-to-day work also involves developing relationships within the industry, identifying new opportunities for collaboration, and shaping how the company brings a different perspective to affiliate marketing in iGaming.
Career highlights and achievements
I have more than 13 years of experience in marketing and almost five years in the iGaming industry. One of the most defining moments in my career was deciding to step out of my comfort zone and start my own company.
Creating Master Affiliates Network was not an easy decision. I thought about it for almost two years. Leaving the stability of a traditional job with a fixed salary and predictable routine requires preparation not only professionally, but also mentally, financially, and emotionally.
Before entering the iGaming industry, I also had to reinvent myself after moving from Uruguay to Europe. Adapting to a new professional environment was challenging, and it took me around a year of persistence before I was able to land my first role in iGaming marketing. That experience taught me resilience and the importance of trusting the process even when things take longer than expected.
Starting a business from scratch is already challenging, and in an industry where most founders are men, the challenge can feel even greater. Building credibility, creating meaningful connections, and gaining recognition for the vision behind the company requires persistence and belief in what you are building.
Advice, insights, or perspectives
My biggest advice is to trust your instincts and not be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Many opportunities come disguised as uncertainty.
For women in particular, I would encourage them to be themselves and remain genuine. Authenticity is a strength, not a weakness. In such a competitive environment, one of the best things we can do is support each other and celebrate the achievements and contributions of other women in the industry.
Progress is not only about individual success, but also about creating a space where more voices, perspectives, and leadership styles can grow.
Building something meaningful takes time, patience, and resilience, but the journey itself becomes one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.
Yui - Head of Compliance at betting.bet

Hi, I’m Yui, Head of Compliance at betting.bet, where I ensure our operations meet the highest regulatory and ethical standards across multiple markets. My role goes beyond box-ticking. It’s about embedding compliance into the fabric of the business so teams can move quickly, but with confidence.
I work closely with product, marketing, and leadership teams to interpret regulations, build scalable frameworks, and stay ahead of constant industry change. For me, compliance should enable growth, not restrict it. The best results come when it’s seen as a strategic partner rather than a barrier.
I’ve spent several years in iGaming compliance, gaining hands-on experience across different jurisdictions and regulatory environments. One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been supporting successful market entries, building compliant structures from the ground up, and seeing them operate seamlessly from day one.
As a woman in iGaming, I’m proud to be part of a growing shift in the industry. Stronger representation brings different perspectives, better decision-making, and ultimately a more responsible and forward-thinking sector. It’s important that we continue to create space for diverse voices, especially in areas like compliance where integrity and accountability are key.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that proactive compliance is always more effective than reactive fixes. Ask the right questions early, challenge assumptions, and focus on doing things properly, because in this industry, that’s what builds long-term trust.
Svitlana - Head of Affiliates at 50 Partners

I’m embracing the Head of Affiliates role at 50 Partners. This position requires, I believe, everyone to be cold-minded and always open to everything new, no matter what challenges are waiting for you today. My key responsibilities are divided into two directions - my company and my team. For the first, my main responsibility is to deliver HQ traffic to all our in-house brands with pretty wide coverage of TIER 1/2 markets. And as for the team, my main focus is to build an ecosystem where every member of it has all needed, including knowledge, tools and support to deliver a result on which you can hold your head high.
I’ve been grinding this iGaming field for almost 10 years in a row, started as an in-house marketing manager in 2017.
Over the years, I’ve tried different roles - starting as a product marketer, eventually switching to the affiliate side and later found an efficient use of my acquirements in a HoA position.
Today, my main focus is growing my team by uniting people with shared values and a common purpose. Because I believe that it’s the only way to build a strong-enough fundament for achieving all the business goals and outstanding results.
There are a few things that I’d like to advise for everyone in our industry:
* Do not let all the distractions lose your focus on your main goal. All the tasks will never be fully completed, but staying focused is all you need to achieve your great result.
* Be honest - it is an irreplaceable thing in building long-term business relationships and achieving quality results.
* Stay open-minded, do not let all the daily challenges narrow your vision. Business-wise, an ignored today idea could turn into a loss tomorrow.
Anastasiia - PR Manager at 50 Partners

My name is Anastasiia, and I work as a PR Manager at 50 Partners, an international affiliate program with its own products operating across Tier-1 and Tier-2 markets.
My work focuses on building brand awareness and strengthening relationships within the iGaming ecosystem. I am responsible for developing communication strategies across social media, PR, and industry media. This includes managing content strategy, supporting the brand’s presence at international conferences, working with media placements, and developing visual communication that reflects the company’s positioning. A significant part of my role also involves collaborating with affiliates, partners, and media platforms to ensure that our messaging is relevant and engaging for our target audience.
One of the important milestones in my career was developing and implementing a brand book together with the team. In our industry, building a recognizable and consistent brand is essential. Another achievement I am particularly proud of is creating a lead generation funnel that delivers results at nearly half the average market cost.
For those building a career in this industry, my main advice is to stay curious and open to learning. I always ask a lot of questions to better understand how the industry works, and this helps me approach my work more strategically. And another important tip — don’t be afraid to connect with new people. You never know who might be standing next to you in line at the bar during an after-conference party.
I also believe it is important for women to support and inspire each other within the industry. iGaming is becoming a more diverse and open space, and it is inspiring to see more talented women contributing to its growth and innovation. Being part of this journey is a great honor for me.
Mariya Klyagina - CMO at SBSB Fintech Lawyers

As the Chief Marketing Officer at SBSB Fintech Lawyers, I lead the global marketing strategy for a firm that serves as a cornerstone of legal excellence in the iGaming, Fintech, and Crypto sectors. My primary mission is to translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear, strategic advantages for our clients. In the high-velocity iGaming industry, I ensure that SBSB acts not merely as a service provider, but as a strategic partner, empowering businesses not only to launch successfully but to scale rapidly across global markets.
Under my marketing leadership, SBSB Fintech Lawyers has undergone a profound transformation, evolving from a regional player into a globally recognized consultancy group. We have successfully expanded beyond the markets of the CIS and Eastern Europe, achieving true international prestige. Today, we maintain direct lines of communication with regulators worldwide, providing our clients with first-hand, up-to-the-minute insights.
A vital component of this expansion has been our formidable presence on the world stage. I oversee the firm’s participation as a full-scale exhibitor with branded booths at major international summits, while our legal experts have become prominent speakers at premier industry events. This strategy, combined with aggressive PR and media positioning, has facilitated the successful launch of over 100 gambling projects worldwide. With a client geography now spanning Europe, Asia, and Latin America (LATAM), SBSB has solidified its status as a world-class authority.
The iGaming industry moves at breakneck speed, and my primary advice to women in this field is: do not fear complexity; embrace change. It is critical to actively cultivate partnership relationships and invest in PR. Expanding your professional network and building a public profile are essential tools for creating the synergy that drives business forward.
One must constantly keep a finger on the pulse: tracking trends, testing innovative marketing tools, and adopting new technologies. The future belongs to those who can combine a global vision with the agility to adapt products to specific market demands. To the next generation of women: your ability to build long-term connections, lead with empathy, and leverage data is exactly what our industry needs today.
Maryna Nikiforova - Marketing & Communications Project Manager at NuxGame

I work in iGaming, an industry where technology, regulation, partnerships, and media constantly intersect and influence each other.
At NuxGame, my role sits somewhere between marketing, PR, and coordination across these areas. Much of my work is about making sure conversations around technology, trends, and industry challenges are clear and meaningful for the people involved. That includes partners, media platforms, operators and our internal teams.
For me, marketing has never been just about campaigns or promotion. I see it more as creating a structured environment where different parts of the brand support each other. Partnerships, editorial work, industry discussions, and product expertise all need to move in the same direction.
Over time, I realised that the job is less about producing content and much more about shaping how those conversations happen.
Instead of running isolated campaigns, we try to build systems around them. Partner collaborations, editorial pipelines, publication timing, and industry events need to be connected. When these pieces align, marketing becomes far more coherent and useful for the industry.
Working with partners is a big part of that process. Many of the most interesting discussions emerge when people with different expertise look at the same challenge from their own perspective. That might be fraud prevention, payments, compliance, or platform stability during peak traffic periods.
These experiences have shaped several things I have learned about marketing in iGaming.
First, marketing here is rarely about promotion. It is closer to coordination. The real work lies in aligning expertise, brand messaging, partners, media platforms, and timing so that the right conversation happens at the right moment.
Second, the most effective marketing strategies behave more like systems than short creative bursts. When communication is structured and consistent, from partner collaboration to editorial timing, it becomes easier to scale and far more useful for the industry.
And finally, the most valuable insights usually appear when different perspectives come together. No single company has the full picture of how this industry works. But when experts from different areas contribute to the same conversation, the result is usually much richer.
One last thought that matters to me personally.
As more women enter iGaming, I hope we stop feeling that we need to fit into a predefined role. Industries like this benefit from different ways of thinking. Strategic, analytical, operational, and creative perspectives all matter.
Many women naturally bring skills that are incredibly valuable in complex environments. Systematic thinking, coordination, long-term planning and the ability to connect different stakeholders are exactly the capabilities industries like iGaming increasingly rely on.
Sometimes stepping slightly outside the role that was originally expected from you is exactly where the most interesting opportunities begin.
Mari Currie, Principal Delivery Manager at CreateFuture

If you’d asked me 10 years ago whether I’d end up working in iGaming, I’m not sure I would have predicted it. Like many people in the industry, I came into it through technology rather than gaming itself and quickly discovered it’s one of the most complex, fast-moving and interesting environments you can work in.
I’m currently a Principal Delivery Manager at CreateFuture, where I lead large-scale delivery programmes for global operators and sports data businesses. In simple terms, my job is to help turn ambitious product and platform ideas into reality. In practice, that usually means coordinating a lot of very smart people across product, engineering and architecture, asking plenty of questions, and occasionally reminding everyone (myself included) what problem we’re actually trying to solve.
I started my career as a business analyst before moving through scrum mastering and engineering management, which probably explains why I ask so many questions and still like to understand how things actually work before deciding how they should change.
Over the last four years I’ve specialised in iGaming, working closely with FanDuel, evoke and Podium on a number of major programmes. At one point that meant overseeing delivery across more than 20 teams and around 100 engineers. It’s the kind of scale where no two days are the same, and where success depends just as much on clear communication and trust as it does on technical capability.
One programme I’m particularly proud of was helping lead a large platform migration to support FanDuel’s expansion into the Canadian market. It was a year-long effort involving nearly 100 people and a lot of big decisions about architecture, scalability and long-term maintainability.
One thing iGaming teaches you quickly is that delivery decisions are rarely just technical... they’re commercial. The architecture choices you make today directly affect how quickly a business can enter new markets, launch new products or respond to regulation tomorrow.
One thing the industry also teaches you quickly is that no matter how well you think you understand a platform, regulation or product requirement, something will change just as you’re getting comfortable. Usually on a Friday afternoon!
What I enjoy most about iGaming is that combination of technical complexity and commercial pace. Platforms need to operate in real time, handle huge volumes of activity and adapt quickly as markets evolve. As the industry continues to grow internationally, I’m particularly interested in the challenge of scaling platforms across markets- balancing local regulatory requirements with the need to maintain a coherent product and technology strategy.
For anyone considering a career in the industry, my main advice is to stay curious and not be intimidated by the complexity. No one understands everything when they start (and if they say they do, they’re probably bluffing). Ask questions, learn from the people around you, and don’t be afraid to challenge how things have always been done.
The industry still has work to do when it comes to representation, but there are some fantastic women leading teams, shaping strategy and delivering major programmes across iGaming.
The more diverse the voices around the table, the better the decisions... and ultimately the better the products.
Leah Mayo - Vice President of Operations at Are You Watching This?! and MetaBet

I'm Leah Mayo, and I'm Vice President of Operations at Are You Watching This?! and MetaBet. We are a technology platform connecting media and content companies with operators using real-time game and betting data. Our (mostly) no-code interactive widgets and API solutions alert when games get exciting and increase engagement. My role focuses on building and perfecting the operational infrastructure that supports a fast-growing company to scale. I work across finance, regulatory, marketing, revops, and HR to translate strategy into systems, enabling our team to move quickly in a rapidly evolving industry.
Throughout my career I've helped companies plan and navigate growth at the intersection of technology and global markets. Early on, I managed the Southeast US team within the UK Government's Department for Business & Trade, advising tech companies from high-growth startups to Fortune 5 companies on international expansion and GTM strategy. That experience provided me unique insight on how successful companies scale, how leadership can make or break growth, and how regulatory environments shape innovation. Armed with that knowledge, I later founded FOUND Experience, a travel technology company that transformed the short-term rental stay into a personalized, boutique hotel experience. The underlying lesson across all of my different work lives has always been that great ideas always exist, but execution and operational discipline ultimately determine a company's success. As someone relatively new to the iGaming sector, I'm excited about the industry's relevance in the wider sporting world. Sports have always created moments that bring fans together, but betting is increasingly becoming part of how those moments are experienced in real time. As sports betting converges with media, entertainment, and data, the way audiences interact with sports content is evolving quickly. Being at the center of that convergence gives us an exciting opportunity to rethink how fans engage with games and the content around them. That's a fascinating place to be and one that I'm excited to be a part of.
Alex Wilson – Head of Marketing Division at GameOn

I currently lead the Marketing Division at GameOn, where my role centres on building and delivering strategic marketing frameworks that help iGaming businesses grow with purpose. Over the past year, one of the most rewarding parts of my role has been bringing an idea that had been developing for more than 12 months to life. It was born from a clear gap in the market. Many companies rely on traditional marketing services such as PR, social media, and events, but without the strategic layer that ensures those functions actively drive commercial outcomes rather than being treated as a cost centre.
That thinking became the foundation for our Go CMO service. As Head of Division, I coordinate a team of four CMOs who work closely with clients to deliver comprehensive marketing audits and strategies. Each engagement is different, but typically our work supports ambitious growth goals such as geographic expansion, product launches, brand repositioning, investment readiness, or community building. We then stay closely involved in execution, coordinating internal specialists such as PR and social media teams alongside external partners in areas like SEO or creative production.
Our clients span the full iGaming ecosystem, from casino and sportsbook platforms to game providers, affiliates, recruitment firms, payment solutions, compliance services and CRM providers. More recently, stepping into a Director-level role has also broadened my focus beyond marketing strategy. My day-to-day responsibilities now include agency operations such as contracts, infrastructure, compliance, finance, and helping shape how GameOn evolves as a business, including areas like AI adoption and service delivery.
Before entering the iGaming industry, I spent more than nine years working across marketing operations and management roles in both in-house and agency environments. One of my proudest achievements during that time was leading a social research and lobbying initiative that helped influence policy changes benefiting more than 10,000 unpaid carers. Another highlight was delivering a three-part national conference that generated a multi-million-pound economic return for the local area.
My journey into iGaming brought a completely different pace and energy. One of my earliest roles focused on internal communications, where we increased brand understanding and advocacy by 75 percent in under a year during the uncertainty of the Covid period. Later, I managed global communications during the acquisition of Microgaming’s content portfolio by Games Global, alongside the repositioning and subsequent rebranding of the Microgaming platform business.
If I were to offer advice to anyone building their career, it would be this: learn the art of delegation early. For a long time I tried to hold onto everything myself. Over time I realised that trusting your team, investing in their development, and allowing people the space to grow is far more powerful.
I would also say that vulnerability is not a weakness. Early in my career I avoided asking questions because I worried it might make me look inexperienced. It took strong leaders around me to show that curiosity and open discussion are actually what build the strongest teams and the deepest knowledge.
Finally, hold your standards. Women in particular can sometimes be labelled as difficult for asking challenging questions or pushing for higher standards. My advice is not to compromise on that. Find people who share your values, communicate clearly, and keep raising the bar.
Angela Gonchar - Team Lead Sales at DEVILS

I focus on developing sales, building strong partnerships, and scaling the company’s commercial directions.
One of my key achievements is that in almost every company I joined, I became the first person in a new department or direction. This meant not only launching operations from scratch but also building the entire structure: setting goals, developing tools, methodologies, and processes. Throughout my career in the industry, I have participated in creating several retention directions and also built the sales direction at DEVILS.
I believe that success in our industry is built on three things: expertise, reputation, and the ability to think long-term. For women especially, it’s important not to diminish themselves or wait for permission to prove their value. Instead, we should confidently take responsibility, use our voice, and demonstrate leadership. The industry only benefits when there are more diverse perspectives and strong professionals contributing to it.
Alina Famenok - Growth & Partnerships Expert, ex-CEO Already Media

I have been working in the iGaming industry for more than seven years, focusing on building and scaling international affiliate businesses. For the past 5.5 years, I served as CEO of Already Media, where together with the team we grew the company from a 13-person startup into an international organisation with more than 370 specialists, successfully expanded into multiple new markets and reached the scale of over 100,000 monthly FTDs.
In 2025, Already Media ranked #17 in the EGR Power Affiliates list, one of the most respected rankings in the industry. I was also honoured to receive the personal Affiliate Leader of the Year award at the SBC Awards.
My role has always been at the intersection of strategy, business development and operational leadership. I was responsible for defining the company’s long-term strategy, scaling teams across multiple departments and building the operational infrastructure that allowed the business to grow sustainably and efficiently.
One of the key achievements during this period was not only scaling the business but also building a strong team and management culture. I believe organisations perform best when people are empowered to grow, make decisions and take ownership. In an industry where change happens very quickly, strong teams and management systems become a real competitive advantage.
Today I am actively developing my personal brand, advising businesses and speaking at major iGaming conferences. At the same time, I am exploring where I can apply my experience and expertise next — whether that means launching a new project or joining one of the leading companies in the industry.
This stage of my career has also become a moment to rethink leadership and company-building approaches. I believe the next wave of growth in iGaming will be driven by more mature operational models, stronger technological infrastructure and greater transparency in business processes. The industry is entering a phase of professionalisation, where companies are becoming more structured, more technology-driven and competition is increasingly global.
For those building a career in iGaming, I would highlight three key principles.
First, continuous learning is essential. The industry evolves rapidly, and what worked yesterday may no longer work tomorrow. Upskilling today is no longer optional — it is a necessity.
Second, do not be afraid of responsibility and difficult decisions. Leadership is almost always about navigating uncertainty, and the ability to make decisions in such conditions is what defines strong leaders.
Finally, leadership is fundamentally about people. Strategies, technologies and processes only work when they are supported by strong teams.
I’m truly glad to see more talented women stepping into leadership roles across the industry. The more diverse perspectives and experiences we bring into iGaming, the stronger and more innovative the entire industry becomes.
Carla Souter - Associate Director at BettingJobs

I am an Associate Director at BettingJobs, specialising in recruitment within the global online gaming industry. With over nine years of experience in the sector, I focus on managing and strengthening commercial relationships with both clients and candidates across international markets. My role involves offering consistent advice and support to help individuals and businesses reach their professional and commercial goals. I also represent BettingJobs at industry events around the world, while continuing to drive business development and relationship building within the ever-growing iGaming sector.
Over the past decade, one of my biggest achievements has been building a strong and trusted network of candidates and clients across the global iGaming community. The industry is incredibly international, and I have been fortunate to connect with many people in my network at events around the world, including London, Miami, São Paulo, New York, Barcelona, Malta, Dubai and Lisbon. Catching up with contacts across these markets is always a great reflection of the relationships built over time.
Another highlight in my career was being invited to join a panel at SiGMA South America in São Paulo, where I discussed the challenges of navigating business expansion and recruitment strategies across LATAM markets. It was a fantastic opportunity to share insights and contribute to an important conversation around growth in emerging regions.
That said, the real highlights of my role happen every day. Every placement made is a success in its own way, and my favourite part of the job is helping candidates secure roles they truly want while also finding the right talent for our clients. Seeing both sides succeed and grow as a result of the match is what makes the role so rewarding.
When I joined BettingJobs straight out of university in 2016, I had not worked full-time in any other industry. While I knew I was entering something exciting, innovative and fast-paced, it was also slightly daunting as a 23-year-old, and there was (and still is) a lot to learn. My advice to anyone entering the industry is to say yes to opportunities, never be afraid to ask questions and remember that everyone starts somewhere. It is also incredibly encouraging to see so many inspirational women coming through the industry, and I will always continue to support and champion women looking to build a career in iGaming.
Tina Katanic - Sales Development Representative at Cevro AI

Tina's path into iGaming is one of those stories that could only happen in this industry. It started almost 20 years ago in Croatia, when she auditioned – almost on a whim – for a role as a Lotto girl on Croatia's national TV Bingo Show. She got the role, fell in love with the energy of live gaming, and never really looked back.
From there, she led training programs and managed a team of live lottery and bingo hosts. It was through the conferences and industry summits that Tina discovered her natural instinct for sales, business development, and the kind of genuine relationship-building that makes this industry so distinctive.
Her academic background in pedagogy – which she jokes fits iGaming perfectly, since you need to be part psychologist – gave her a foundation for understanding people that has served her well at every stage of her career.
In 2023, Tina made a bold move: packing her life into a few suitcases and relocating to Marbella, a city on the Costa del Sol that is quietly becoming one of Europe's emerging iGaming hubs. A role with an established iGaming group followed, where she grew significantly under the mentorship of a leader she credits as a turning point in her professional development.
Today, Tina brings that same energy and people-first approach to Cevro AI, where she is part of the team introducing iGaming operators to a new generation of AI-powered player support. Her advice to anyone navigating this industry? The path doesn't have to be perfectly planned. The unexpected turns are usually the best ones.
Rachelle Colquitt, Account Management Team Lead at Gaming Corps

I currently work as an Account Management Team Lead in the iGaming industry at Gaming Corps where I lead a team of 8 account managers responsible for overseeing all our customers across the globe. My role combines both strategic and operational responsibilities, ensuring our partners receive the highest level of support while maintaining strong, long-term relationships that drive mutual growth. I work closely with internal teams across compliance, product and operations to ensure our partners are supported in highly regulated environments while also identifying opportunities to strengthen performance and collaboration.
Before transitioning into iGaming, I spent 11 years working in the insurance industry, where I developed a strong foundation in client management, problem solving and working within regulated sectors. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for structure, accountability and customer-focused service, all of which translate well into the fast-paced world of iGaming. Moving into this industry allowed me to combine those skills with a more dynamic and innovative environment, which has been incredibly rewarding.
One of the highlights of my career so far has been stepping into a leadership role and building a team that works collaboratively and supports each other’s growth. Mentoring and encouraging my team to develop confidence in their roles is something I take great pride in. Seeing individuals progress, take ownership of their accounts and grow professionally is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
Beyond commercial milestones, I’m particularly proud of the teams that I am helping to build. Creating inclusive, high-performing environments where people feel empowered to contribute has been central to my leadership philosophy. The iGaming industry is evolving rapidly, and diverse perspectives are not just beneficial, they are essential.
For women considering a career in iGaming, my advice is simple: don’t wait until you feel 100% ready. This industry rewards curiosity, resilience and adaptability far more than perfection. Seek out mentors, ask questions confidently, and embrace opportunities that push you beyond your comfort zone. Growth rarely happens in familiar territory.iGaming is one of the most dynamic industries. Being part of its evolution helping shape responsible innovation, while driving commercial success is both a privilege and a responsibility. I’m excited to continue contributing to its future and to see even more women stepping forward to shape what comes next.
Eliane Nunes - Head of Revenue & Commercial Growth at Atucha Strategic Advisory

I often say that my career has been built on conversations.
Before working in iGaming, I spent many years in journalism, public relations, corporate communication and international business events. Those roles taught me something that has stayed with me throughout my professional journey. Listening carefully, understanding people, contexts and motivations is what allows real connections to happen.
Looking back, those skills turned out to be highly relevant in an industry like iGaming.
Over time, what began as a career in communication evolved naturally into work involving partnerships, commercial growth and market development. I increasingly found myself working at the intersection of businesses, markets and cultures, often building bridges between international companies and the realities of Latin America.
Today, I serve as Head of Revenue & Commercial Growth at Atucha Strategic Advisory, where I work with companies exploring opportunities in Brazil and across Latin America. Much of what I do involves helping organizations understand how business truly works in this region, where relationships, credibility and long term trust are essential foundations for sustainable growth.
iGaming is a fascinating industry. It moves fast, constantly reinvents itself and sits at the intersection of technology, entertainment and regulation.
At the same time, it remains a predominantly male industry, although the presence of women continues to grow across many areas of the sector. Initiatives such as AMIG and International Gaming Women play an important role in this evolution. They create spaces for connection, support and collaboration, while also helping highlight the many men who actively contribute as allies in building a more diverse and balanced industry.
Markets will grow. Regulations will change. Technology will evolve.
Trust and credibility will always remain the most valuable assets anyone can build in this industry.
Sarah McLean, Chief Commercial Officer at Pretty Technical

I’ve spent more than twenty years working in the iGaming industry, although like many people in the sector, I didn’t set out with a clear plan to build a career in gaming. I actually fell into the industry after seeing a job advert for a croupier and starting my career at the tables.
Those early years on the gaming floor turned out to be one of the best educations I could have had. When you spend hours face to face with players, you learn very quickly that this industry is fundamentally about people. Understanding what motivates customers, what frustrates them and what keeps them coming back is invaluable. In many ways, those years felt like getting a psychology degree in gaming.
Since then my career has taken me in many different directions across the industry, giving me the opportunity to work with gaming businesses around the world and see how the sector evolves from different perspectives. I’ve worked across casino, sportsbook, poker and emerging gaming formats in markets including North America, Europe and Asia, with much of my work focused on growing revenues, leading significant marketing investment and helping gaming businesses scale sustainably.
Today, as Chief Commercial Officer at Pretty Technical, I bring that operator perspective into a platform business. My role focuses on ensuring that product direction, commercial strategy and market positioning reflect the real-world economics operators face every day.
Over the past two decades the industry itself has evolved significantly, and one of the most positive changes has been the growing presence of women in leadership roles. There is still progress to be made, but it’s encouraging to see more women shaping the future of the sector across product, technology, operations and commercial leadership.
If I were giving advice to anyone entering the industry today, it would be this: take the time to truly understand the customer. No matter where you sit in the business, whether in product, marketing, operations or technology, the companies that succeed are the ones that understand the people they serve. Once you understand what makes players tick, you’re already halfway there.
Kateryna Goi - Chief Marketing Officer at Belatra

My career in iGaming didn’t begin in the center of the industry — it actually started somewhere on the sidelines. Back in 2018, I was working as Acting Director at a company that organized large-scale conferences and exhibitions for the global iGaming sector. At that time, my role was focused on building the events themselves: coordinating partners, managing logistics, and creating spaces where the industry could meet. But being surrounded by operators, providers, and innovators at these events gave me a unique perspective. I wasn’t yet inside the industry, but I was watching it from very close range. And honestly, once you feel the energy of iGaming at those events — the pace, the creativity, the ambition — it’s hard not to fall in love with that vibe forever.
After spending several years immersed in the conference environment, I decided it was time to move from observing the industry to becoming part of it. I joined one of the most exciting game providers in the market as Head of Marketing. That role gave me invaluable hands-on experience — from building marketing strategies and managing brand positioning to working closely with product teams and partners. It was a period of intense professional growth that ultimately led me to my current role.
Today I serve as CMO at Belatra Games, a company with 33 years of history in the gaming industry. My responsibility is to lead global marketing strategy, strengthen brand recognition across international markets, and ensure that the quality of our games is reflected in how the brand communicates with the industry. One of my key focuses has been aligning Belatra’s marketing presence with the strength of its product — making sure that the market sees the innovation, creativity, and experience that define the studio.
Industry events remain a very important part of my professional activities. Over the course of several years, we have established Belatra's presence at major global exhibitions. For me, these events are more than just marketing platforms. This is where partnerships are formed, ideas are exchanged, and the true personality of the brand becomes visible.
The iGaming industry is dynamic, competitive, and constantly evolving, and that’s exactly what makes it so exciting. My advice is simple: never stop there, deepen your knowledge, learn from everyone, don't be shy about asking for advice. Once you stop, it will be very difficult to catch up, because the industry is developing at a breakneck speed. Don’t be afraid to take your place in the conversation. Expertise, authenticity, and confidence matter far more than titles. If you truly understand your product and your market, your voice will always be heard.
Anneli Nilsson, Founder & Managing Director, Job Matching Partner
I kind of ”fell into” iGaming in 2005, when I was engaged by a company my brother co-owned to start a re-activation and retention company for Poker-players. This soon turned into a much bigger operation, including all-sorts of multi-lingual services to iGaming operators. I never managed a company before, and I believe the company’s success was down to a combination of the opportunities given to work with awesome individuals and brands, my reluctance to say ”no” if I can spot an opportnity, and a very strong will to succeed.
At the end of 2007, I was offered the role which took me to Malta, and I ended up working in the world of affiliate management. A couple of years later, a former colleague introduced me to another opportunity as Head of Affiliates & COO for a small-ish iGaming operator, and I stayed in that role for over 7 years.
Prior to iGaming, I worked in recruitment and I loved it and missed it.
As some of my affiliates started their own companies and my former employer started a new brand, everyone asked for my help, and I started providing a consultancy service ”on the side” to a few of them, before they had any in-house HR resources.
This is how I came to work as the first recruiter for brands like Catena Media, GameLounge and VideoSlots, whose founders I had already worked with as their affiliate manager. The founders of the company I moved to Malta to work for are serial entrereneurs who luckily also engaged me to recruit for brands they later launched. Most of my clients today are former colleagues and affiliates, some ranging all the way back to 2005, believe it or not!
From part time and ”on the side” I started JobMatchingPartner in 2019 and we are now 6 employees. I absolutely love what I do and I am so grateful that I managed to match my favourite job, recruitment, with my favourite industry, iGaming!
Annamaria Anastasi - Commercial and Sales Director at Zimpler

My journey into iGaming has been exciting, stressful and very unexpected. Today, I work at Zimpler, where my role revolves around connecting operators with payment solutions that create seamless user experiences while ensuring compliance, trust, and innovation in a fast-moving market. A big part of my work involves developing strategic relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and helping partners navigate the evolving payments landscape within iGaming.
What has shaped my career is a rare combination of commercial leadership and marketing experience. Like most, I started in a support role over 17 years ago! From here I gradually moved into sales and account management, gaining a deep understanding of both the operational and commercial sides of the business. Over time, I expanded into marketing leadership, including heading the marketing department at a game supplier, where I was responsible for brand positioning, go-to-market strategies, and supporting business growth.
This cross-functional experience has given me a unique perspective on the industry. Having worked across various roles for both B2B and B2C companies, I’ve been able to understand the industry from multiple angles. It has allowed me to bridge the gap between commercial strategy, marketing, and partnership development.
One of the highlights of my career has been working closely with operators and partners to turn ideas into real initiatives that drive growth and improve the player experience. Seeing strategies evolve from conversations into successful implementations is always rewarding, and I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with talented teams across the industry.
For anyone looking to build a career in iGaming, my biggest advice would be to stay curious and open to opportunities. This industry moves quickly, and being adaptable is key. Building strong relationships is just as important as understanding the technical or commercial side of the business. The network you create and the trust you build often open doors you might not expect.
It’s also important to support and uplift other women in the industry. While iGaming has historically been male-dominated, it’s encouraging to see more women stepping into leadership roles and shaping the future of the sector. The more we share our experiences and support each other, the stronger and more diverse the industry will become.
For me, the journey is still ongoing, and that’s the most exciting part. There is so much potential for innovation in payments and player experience, and I’m proud to be part of an industry that continues to evolve and grow.
Nyomi O’Dowd – Senior International iGaming Recruiter at Hirestakes

Hey, I’m Nyomi O’Dowd, a Senior International iGaming Recruiter at Hirestakes. I partner with businesses across global markets to help them attract and retain the talent they need to grow.
My role is about much more than simply filling positions. It’s about understanding a company’s culture, ambitions, and long-term vision, then identifying the people who can genuinely make an impact. I also work closely with candidates, supporting them in finding opportunities where they can develop their careers and thrive.
One of the things I’ve always loved about working in iGaming is the people behind it. Behind every successful product launch, market expansion, or fast-growing company is a talented team making it happen. That’s what makes my role so rewarding.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work exclusively with start-ups within iGaming. Since COVID, I have supported a unique games studio in growing from just two full-time employees to more than 70. That journey has been a major highlight in my career and a dream come true.
Having spent over a decade in recruitment, I’ve seen first-hand how much the right people can influence the success of a business. In an industry as fast-moving and competitive as iGaming, having the right talent in place isn’t just important — it’s often the difference between companies that scale successfully and those that struggle to keep up with the pace of change.
Working across international markets has also given me a unique perspective on how talent trends shape the direction of the iGaming industry globally. What drew me to iGaming, and what continues to keep me engaged, is that energy. It’s innovative, constantly evolving, and full of ambitious businesses pushing the industry forward across new markets and technologies.
One of the things I’m most proud of in my career is the long-term relationships I’ve built along the way. I’ve always believed recruitment works best when it’s built on trust, honesty, and a genuine understanding of people. Some of the most rewarding moments come from seeing candidates I’ve placed go on to flourish in their roles and become an integral part of a company’s growth.
As a woman working in iGaming, I believe visibility matters. It’s important that more women see this industry as a place where they can build exciting and fulfilling careers. My advice would be to stay curious, trust your instincts, and not be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone. Often, the biggest opportunities come from taking that leap before you feel completely ready.
It’s inspiring to see more women shaping the future of iGaming across leadership, operations, and technology. I’m proud to be part of an industry that continues to evolve and become more inclusive. I’m always encouraged by the conversations and connections that come from working in such a collaborative space.
Cheryl Westerman – COO, Bettortainment | Founder of Independent Content Services

I’ve spent more than two decades building and scaling businesses in the sports betting and digital media sector, and today I’m COO at Bettortainment, where my focus is on building the operational foundations that allow the business to scale sustainably in the fast-moving iGaming marketing landscape. Bettortainment’s focus on creator-led content reflects how quickly marketing within the iGaming sector continues to evolve.
My career in the industry began when I co-founded Independent Content Services (ICS) in 2002. At the time, the digital betting landscape was still developing, and we saw an opportunity to provide independent sports content and commentary services to bookmakers, media companies and mobile networks.
What started as a small operation in Leeds grew into an international content and broadcast business working with many of the industry’s major brands including Betfair, bet365, William Hill and Betfred. Over time we built broadcast studios, developed multilingual editorial and commentary teams and expanded into international content and translation services as the digital betting ecosystem evolved. Alongside this, we launched a separate digital arm, ICS-digital, focused on national and international SEO, link building and content marketing to maximise the reach of the content we were creating.
Looking back, one of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of that journey was the constant need to adapt. The iGaming industry moves quickly, and building a business that could evolve alongside it was both the greatest test and the biggest opportunity. In 2018, after more than fifteen years of building and scaling the business, ICS and ICS-digital were acquired by Racing Post (Spotlight Sports Group).
Throughout much of my career in iGaming I was often the only woman in the room, which was simply the reality of the industry at the time and, in some areas, still is today. While the sector has made progress, women remain underrepresented in many operational and leadership roles across the industry, particularly outside of traditional support functions. That said, it’s encouraging to see more women entering the sector and building long-term careers within it. As the industry continues to evolve, a broader mix of experience and perspective can only strengthen how businesses adapt and grow.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned during my time in the industry, it’s that success rarely comes from one big idea alone. It comes from building strong teams, staying adaptable and creating the operational foundations that allow businesses to continue evolving as the market changes.
Irina Veselkova - Head of Marketing at Endorphina

I'm the Head of Marketing at Endorphina, an international slot game provider headquartered in Prague. I lead global marketing strategy, execution, and operations across both B2B and B2C markets, working with multi-disciplinary teams covering Digital, Social Media, Events, PR & Community, Affiliates, and regional marketing across LATAM. But in reality, my role goes far beyond campaigns and brand visibility. My core mission has been building and scaling a high-performing marketing function that can support the company's long-term growth. Over the past year, I've fully rebuilt the structure and processes of the marketing department — defining roles, ownership, KPIs, reporting systems, and improving collaboration across teams.
The best campaigns don't come from briefs — they come from teams that trust each other, systems that remove friction, and a culture where people feel ownership over what they build. That's what I've been focused on creating. And the results speak for themselves: significantly increased brand awareness, grown social audiences across platforms, boosted direct traffic, and a brand that people in iGaming actually talk about. At the same time, my focus has been on strengthening Endorphina's voice within the industry — through bold campaigns, strong storytelling, and a memorable presence at the events and platforms that matter most in this space.
This momentum has also been reflected in industry recognition. I've recently been shortlisted in three categories at the CEE GamingTECH Awards — CEE iGaming Leader of the Year, CEE Rising Star in iGaming, and CEE Innovator of the Year. I was also nominated for the Young Changemaker Award at the Casino Guru Awards 2026 and shortlisted for the Rising Star Award at the Gaming International Online Awards.
Endorphina's marketing initiatives were also recognized with the Best Pre-Show Marketing Campaign award — something I'm particularly proud of as it reflects the creativity and dedication of the entire team.If I had to give one piece of advice to anyone entering iGaming, it would be this: stop complaining and stop waiting for the perfect moment. Be proactive, work really hard from day one, and don't wait for permission to bring new ideas to the table. This industry moves fast — and the people who shape it are the ones bold enough to step forward and put in the work.
Elya Lan - Chief Communications Officer at 01.tech

Elya Lan is the Chief Communications Officer at 01.tech, an international B2B holding creating turnkey solutions for the iGaming industry. 01.tech is an ecosystem for launching and scaling entertainment industry products. The holding provides three key products: White Label platform, Game Aggregator, and Betting Platform. 01.tech combines modern technology with strategic operational processes, enabling partners to scale their businesses sustainably.
She brings extensive iGaming experience, having built her career across affiliate partnerships and business development, working with operators, affiliates, and key industry partners. This background gave her a deep understanding of partner ecosystems, market dynamics, and strategic communications in a highly competitive environment.
As CCO, Elya oversees brand strategy and integrated communications, aligning PR, marketing, and digital channels to create a consistent narrative for 01.tech across markets. She is responsible for defining the holding’s positioning, building unified messaging frameworks, strengthening the employer brand, and ensuring that all external and internal communications build trust and support long-term business goals. Her focus is on clear positioning, consistent messaging, and transparency-driven trust, so that the market sees the strength of 01.tech’s products and team and understands what the company stands for.
Communication first
Throughout my career, the key milestones have been building comprehensive communication strategies and managing brand reputation in a highly competitive market. One of the achievements I value most is developing integrated communications where PR, marketing, content, and digital channels work as a single system. A defining chapter of my journey has been leading product launches and shaping positioning strategies across international markets, while building meaningful, long-term relationships with media, strategic partners, and the professional community at large.
Communications are a strategic driver of business growth. The real work lies not just in crafting the right message. It calls for a deep understanding of your audience, the agility to adapt in real time, and a commitment to genuine, transparent dialogue with the market. A strong brand is built through consistency, integrity, and long-term trust. The fusion of data, analytics, and creative solutions is becoming indispensable, empowering companies to speak the same language as their audiences.
Ultimately, a strong brand is built through people — the teams, experts, and thought leaders who embody a company's values and earn its trust. Technology scales your voice, but people are what give it weight.
Redefining iGaming as a Career Choice
Changing the way iGaming is perceived in the job market is something I feel strongly about. This is a stable, technology-forward industry that offers fast-track career growth, genuine international projects, and meaningful product impact.
01.tech are redefining what it means to be an employer in the entertainment industry. We actively draw professionals from diverse fields, with a strong pull from the tech industry, and they are choosing us with intention. The narrative around iGaming is shifting. iGaming today is about technology, data, marketing, and product on a global stage. And when strong talents recognise that, the entire industry moves forward.
Human-Centred Leadership in a Tech-Driven World
I think of myself as a tech-human leader who sees technology and humanity not as opposing forces, but as the most powerful combination in business. Products, partnerships, and brands are built by people and for people. And the decisions that reflect that will always outperform those built on data alone.
This is what I'm building at 01.tech. Storytelling as part of the product. Brand as a living piece of the partnership experience. Communications where PR, marketing, content, and digital move as one. Everything connects back to one constant. People first.
Yeva Avagyan, Head on Commercials at AffPapa

I'm currently holding the role of Head on Commercials at AffPapa.
I lead partnerships and sponsorship collaborations at AffPapa, working closely with operators, affiliate programs, and industry partners to build meaningful, long-term relationships within the iGaming ecosystem. My focus is on creating strategic opportunities that elevate brand visibility and deliver tangible value through AffPapa’s media, events, and conference platforms.
Throughout my career in the iGaming industry, one of my biggest achievements has been conducting our 1st Conference in Malaga in 2024 which we now moved to Madrid. Being part of the team that brought the event to life was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. It meant building strong collaborations, overseeing partnership integrations, and ensuring that every partner received meaningful visibility and opportunities to connect within the iGaming community. The success of the Málaga conference not only strengthened AffPapa’s presence in the industry but also set the foundation for future events and initiatives.
One piece of advice I'd give would be to stay curious and stay true to your values. iGaming is a highly dynamic space, and the people who thrive in it are the ones who remain open to learning, exploring new opportunities, and adjusting their strategies as the industry evolves. What works today may not work tomorrow, so being flexible and forward-thinking is essential.
Catie Di Stefano, Marketing Director at Vegas Kings

I have zero education in marketing, but so much experience in gambling that I have still managed to be successful in our industry. I love that anyone can be anything in the gaming industry, and I’m excited to see what more I will do in the future. I’m Catie Di Stefano, and I’m a Marketing Director in the gambling industry.
Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked with incredible people and brands such as Vegas Kings, Hard Rock, GiG, Betsson and many others. I’ve been traveling all over the world to speak into microphones, debate with key figures and share my experience in marketing regulations and responsible gaming. Last year, I launched Vegas Queens events for female executives and the iGaming Stories newsletters on LinkedIn where I featured our professional legends.
If I were to give anyone a tip on how to survive for decades in our industry, it would be: learn to ride out industry changes like waves. One thing about our industry is that it’s always changing. Always.
I joined the industry in 2011, just after Black Friday. That was my first wave. I later saw the wave of mobile gaming, European regulations, the repeal of PASPA, and I even kept a brick-and-mortar property alive during the pandemic. I’d say I’ve been through it all in online gambling in the last 15 years!
Now, the AI wave is coming to us. Actually, we’re already in it, and I’m strongly seeing its effect wherever I look. Nothing will once again be the same as it was, but I believe it’s only for the better. We as an industry will become stronger and there will be countless of opportunities, if you know where to look…
Claire Adamou - Head of Operations at American iGaming Solutions

I’ve spent two decades in the iGaming industry, and if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that careers rarely follow a straight line.
I started my journey in affiliate marketing in the early-2000s, building relationships, learning the commercial side of the industry and gaining a deep understanding of how businesses grow and scale. Over the years, I’ve worked across different areas of the sector, developing experience in partnerships, operations and leadership.
Today, I serve as Head of Operations at American iGaming Solutions, where I work closely with our CEO to support the strategic growth of the business and our clients. Our work spans business development, partnerships and advisory services across the global iGaming ecosystem. Most recently, we launched RAS, our business development and investment brokerage arm, expanding how we support companies and investors across the industry.
Alongside my work in iGaming, I’m also the VP of Saroca, a leadership and executive coaching business focused on helping individuals and organisations unlock their potential. Through Saroca, we work with leaders navigating growth, change and transformation, supporting them to develop the mindset, skills and confidence required to lead both themselves and others effectively.
Coaching is something I felt drawn to for a long time, and completing my training a few years ago allowed me to combine my industry experience with my passion for helping people grow. Much of my work focuses on leadership development, career transitions and personal reinvention - areas I know many professionals, particularly women, navigate throughout their careers.
One of the most inspiring changes I’ve seen during my time in iGaming is the growing visibility of women stepping into leadership roles and shaping the future of the industry. There is still more work to be done, but the progress being made and the communities supporting women in the sector are incredibly encouraging.
If there’s one piece of advice I’d share with anyone building a career in iGaming, it’s this: relationships matter. Some of the most meaningful opportunities in my career have come through genuine connections, long-term trust and simply showing up consistently.
This industry moves fast, but the people who thrive in it are those who stay curious, continue learning and lift others up along the way.
Rebecca Olivier - Project Manager at Eventus International

Rebecca Olivier is a Project Manager at Eventus International, a premier, high-impact iGaming and Sports Betting B2B event organiser, where she leads the planning and delivery of international conferences across both emerging and established markets.
Her journey within the company has been fast-paced and organic, having joined as a Senior Executive Assistant, progressing to Senior Project Coordinator within a few months, and stepping into her current role as Project Manager in September 2025.
Her role sits at the core of event production, where she is responsible for driving timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that each event is executed to a high standard.
Working closely with leadership, she supports both strategic direction and day-to-day decision-making, helping to maintain consistency, clarity, and forward momentum across multiple projects.
Rebecca has contributed to the delivery of events across diverse regions, each with their own regulatory, cultural, and operational nuances. This has shaped her ability to remain adaptable while keeping a strong structure in place, balancing moving parts without losing sight of the bigger picture.
She values the iGaming industry for its pace, innovation, and the people within it. For her, the most rewarding part of the work is seeing how the right conversations, when brought into the right room, can lead to genuine, sustainable collaboration and long-term opportunities. She believes that well-curated events play an important role in creating those moments.
Alongside her career, Rebecca is a mother of four, which has strengthened her ability to prioritise, stay disciplined, and navigate pressure with perspective.
Her advice to women entering the industry (or any industry) is to focus on consistency, be willing to learn quickly, and not underestimate the value of showing up fully in every role; growth often follows sooner than expected.
Lizzie Thomas at Head of Social Media at GameOn

I’m Lizzie Thomas, Head of Social Media at GameOn, where I lead social media strategy for a range of brands across the iGaming industry. My role is all about helping businesses tell their story in a way that feels clear, engaging and authentic. In an industry that can sometimes feel complex or technical from the outside, social media plays a huge role in bringing brands to life and helping them connect with their audiences.
In my role, I work closely with a range of clients across iGaming to manage and develop their social media presence. That includes everything from planning and creating content to managing day-to-day social channels and ensuring brands communicate consistently and confidently online. Social media moves quickly, so a big part of my role is keeping a close eye on industry conversations and trends to ensure the brands I work with stay relevant and visible.
A big highlight of my career so far has been the opportunity to work with so many different businesses across iGaming and see first-hand just how collaborative and fast-moving the industry is. I really enjoy helping brands find their voice and build a strong presence through social media. Seeing a strategy come to life and spark genuine engagement is always incredibly rewarding.
If I had one piece of advice for anyone starting out, it would be to stay curious and open to opportunities; you never know where they might lead. The path into iGaming isn’t always a straight line, and some of the best opportunities come from being willing to learn, adapt and step outside your comfort zone.
