Matchbook Enters Brazil With Localised Sportsbook Launch

Matchbook has expanded into Brazil with the launch of a locally focused sportsbook platform, marking the brand’s latest move into regulated and high-growth betting jurisdictions.

The Brazilian-facing site, matchbook.bet.br, has gone live through a technology partnership with FIRST – Best in Sports. The collaboration combines Matchbook’s exchange-led and fixed-odds betting expertise with FIRST’s Tier-1 sportsbook infrastructure, designed to support localisation, operational stability and scalable performance.

Brazil’s rapid emergence as a major global sports betting market has made technology-led partnerships a central feature of international expansion strategies. In this case, the rollout was supported locally by A2FBR, which played a key role in adapting the joint technical and product capabilities into a fully market-ready platform.

A representative from A2FBR described the launch as an important step for the market.

“The joint presence of Matchbook and FIRST on matchbook.bet.br represents a significant milestone for the Brazilian market.”

Adriano Rodrigues, chief executive of A2FBR, said the focus was on ensuring a high-quality local experience.

“Both brands are globally recognised for their technical excellence, operational integrity, and long-term commitment to regulated environments. Our role was to ensure that this collaboration translated into a seamless, high-quality experience tailored to Brazilian players.”

For FIRST, the Brazilian deployment strengthens its growing footprint across Latin America, where demand continues to rise for modular sportsbook systems capable of meeting local regulatory frameworks while supporting long-term scalability.

Tom Light, chief executive of FIRST – Best in Sports, said the partnership highlights the value of aligning technology with a clear product strategy.

“Working with Matchbook on their Brazilian launch demonstrates what can be achieved when strong technology and a clear product vision come together. Brazil is a highly competitive and sophisticated market, and this project reflects our focus on delivering sportsbook solutions that are built for scale, compliance, and long-term growth.”

The launch positions Matchbook to compete in one of the most closely watched new betting markets globally, while reinforcing the role of technology partnerships in enabling compliant and sustainable market entry.
